“I have known the owner and his entire family for over 4 and a half decades and I called to surprise him because I had just talked to him on his personal phone and so I knew he would be there. i asked to speak to him, she hung up on me. I tried calling back,only to find I could not even connect. The bartender (I use the word loosely) stated she has been working there 12 F'N Years. . The manager Dawn was kind enough to call me back. I have been to so many events that I feel insulted, embarrsed for the owner who I happen to cherrish and adore. Tom Arelene and his ENTIRE FAMILY. It's a great neighborhood place. I lived very near by and felt safe coming and going walking by myself. the food is superb! i would highly recommend!!!!!“

“Definitely forgot how chill this place is. Some days its a younger crowd, some are wiser crowds; luckily I can play tunes with both crowds and still relax.Good prices, Good service and a pool table. Slots have done me good too as long as I don't get greedy so enjoy.“

“Easily the best dive bar in Avondale. Their food is incredible, (get the fried pickles,) and very affordable. Very solid drink menu and the staff is super friendly. If you go for trivia, (which you should if you like bar trivia, this place was great,) make sure you get there at least 30 minutes early because it will fill up. Love this place“

Long time established bar that has been remodeled to make it more family friendly.Parking: Newly asphalt parking lot that can get full, but street parking is close by.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots right by entrance and no stairs inside.“

“I go here 2-3 times a week to sing, drink and mingle with every customer. Everyone talks to you and the staff is the greatest line up anywhere. They love their customers and they like to have fun, as I have seen them dance to karaoke or just being silly with each other. The front deck is amazing and I can't wait for the fun meals once the kitchen is finished. I used to make this a once a year place, but now it is a must stop everytime if out for drinks. “My experience at this bar was in the late 70s and early 80s. My husband, Michael and his partner Micky owned this place when my husband was in medical school. There was one of many brawls here that were just hilarious. One in February when the entire bar cleared into the street and “dibs” chairs were thrown everywhere. The police showed up and everyone was back in the bar like nothing happened. It had a liquor rack over the square bar. There was a neighborhood Elvis impersonator dancing on the bar. All at once the liquor rack crashed onto the bar. My husband proposed to me there. Always something with a cast of characters. I’m sure it’s very different now. Great memories ??“

“This was my first time at Clancy's on 95th. It was clean and comfortable. The ladies behind the counter were delightful and easy going. A friend invited me to join her and a handful of her friends, to watch Billy Gray perform (he was fabulous with his deep voice. I listen to country music every once and awhile, but Billy had me moving my feet and tapping the table top to the music.)and we had a wonderful time. The beers were reasonably priced ($4 or $16 for a bucket of five. They give you wooden tokens to collect a cold beer when you are ready or the bucket if you prefer. My friend ordered a ham and cheese sandwich that was delicious and came with fries or in-house made potato chips. I would definitely go back.“

“Amazing little bar tucked behind Midway airport. Best Polish food around! Pierogis are to die for! Goulash soup, potato pancakes,& more! They have a Polish sampler platter that has a taste of everything you could want!! Go! Eat! Enjoy!!“

“We came for Valentines to try the food and beer. The menu is simple and to the point. We both had smash burgers. Let me tell you, the burger was delicious. I went with the double and it was huge. I'll get the single smash burger next time. The cheese curd basket with ranch was really good. The atmosphere is chill, the food is yummy and reasonably priced. Oh and the beer on tap was nice and cold. Definitely coming again to try the pizza ? ?“

“Goldie's is pretty divey but has all the ingredients needed for a solid night out. There's a dartboard, a pool table, and a TouchTunes, plus plenty of seating and friendly service. Drinks are a bit overpriced (the vodka sodas my friends and I ordered were definitely not worth the price), but they have a decent selection of beers on tap and the overall atmosphere makes up for it. Will be back for some chill nights out in the future.“

“Great neighborhood bar. Really good bar food and service. The wings are perfectly crunchy. I'm betting double fried. 14 beer taps and some TVs.Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burger and a panini, hummus, and your typical fried veggie options.“

“The food was delicious, and the portions were large. You definitely get your money's worth. We had the lenten special creamed herring appetizer, and it was outstanding. The potato pancakes are more like a pancake; do not expect the Latke style of shredded potato with onion. They are served with both sour cream and apple sauce. The Sauerbraten has a non-traditional white gravy that tastes good but is definitely different from what I am used to. They have a very good selection of draft beers as well as a good selection of beers in bottles and cans. The Chicken Paprikash had very good flavor and richness to the gravy. The Goulash is tender, decadent, and has a little heat to it. The service can be slow, so it is not a place for a rushed meal. The restaurant area is clean and has a great ambiance. The restrooms are separated, with the men's bathroom being by the front of the restaurant area and the women's being towards the back. The men's room is a little cramped, but that is a necessity for space.Parking: Paid parking on the main street out front with free parking on the side streets in the nearby residential area.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly“

“Solid sports bar with an Irish twist, they've got darts, skeeball, and a few other games. Food is surprisingly good and the drink menu is solid.Layout wise it feels like they've got two bars with the center wall cut out. Makes for a lot of space and great throughput on drink service.Well worth your time if you're looking for a sports pub.“

“Awesome neighborhood bar in Roscoe! My wife and daughter wanted to visit a bookstore, so my son and I visited here just two doors down. It was pretty busy for 3 pm, but we got a hi top table and placed our orders right away. We had a couple of Old Styles, and I tried the Krombacher pilsner. It was the beer of the month and very good. My wife and daughter joined us about an hour later and had a couple of drinks. This seemed to be a less expensive bar than most we visited in Chicago. That's always a good thing! Service was outstanding! I can't get over these beautiful Chicago bars. Long and narrow. Awesome architecture. Perfect setup here at Village Tap! Will definitely try and make it back here on our next visit to Chicago.“

“This is the perfect neighborhood bar. Cash only! Bartenders are friendly and properly trained to make drinks. No food, but you can order door dash or whatever. Good beer list at reasonable prices. Pool Tables are free. Love that this is in walking distance from our house.“

“Stumbled on the polish food buffet today. So so good. The owner is right here and everything is home made. The beef barley soup was outrageously delicious. The potato pancake was very flavorful. The chicken breast amazing. Cabbage & Sausage delicious. Everything was great!“

“I had to get five stars because they’re the only restaurant that carries pure olive oil, even though there’s an Italian restaurant a half a block away. Disgusting. Most of the restaurants in Hinsdale used disgusting ingredients and then charge you as much as they possibly can ‼️‼️‼️?The only restaurant in town that actually has pure olive oil! What the heck is wrong with this town??I recommend Fullers, great staff, food is good, and at least you can get pure oil that doesn’t kill you if you’d like it ❤️ a little pricey“

“These great neighborhood joints are nearly gone but thankfully this one survives. A fresh new look with an extensive cocktail menu and the old Chicago standards still intact. Bartenders who greet you as you walk in and make you feel like you belong. Dog welcoming. Ownership that seems to have the neighborhood in mind with all they do. If you can't love a place like this, you don't get Chicago. Give Naperville a shot.Parking: Parking at all? You can walk to this joint. That is the point.“

“Went here twice during our week-long holiday in Chicago, both on a weeknight for a relaxed drink while listening to a DJ play some great chilled tunes, and on a Saturday night when it was busy but we found seats and had a fun time. Both were good experiences, with nice staff and good drinks. We really like neighbourhood bars so this was perfect, and in a lovely area too. It was the nicest bar we visited on our trip, and we will hopefully be back one day!“

“Visiting from Virginia and was looking for that Chicago cuisine everyone raves about. Well this place exceeds expectations. The curb appeal is gorgeous. The staff are amazing. Pete makes an amazing blue cheese dirty martini. I’m very particular about my martinis and he overdelivered. So the food. They have created an environment where bar meets fine dining. The presentation, the taste…impeccable. We had the hummus and garlic parm wings…they did not disappoint. Then the presentation for the burger with their logo stamped in the bun was the finishing touch. Definitely in our top ten across the country.“

“We came here after a zoo day and the entire family enjoyed it. We got the cheese curds and Brussels sprouts for an appetizer and they were both delicious. The fish tacos were great, but the corned beef tacos were out of this world! Highly recommend this place for an afternoon lunch or family dinner.“

“one of my favorite bars. The atmosphere is mixed a mini utopia of sorts. I like that they have TouchTunes (jukebox) which allows you to play your favorite song without passing a aux cord. it’s a chill vibe. I’ve never had a bad experience here. drinks and prices are decent. The service is bomb Fee always holds it down and is very attentive to customer needs. There’s pool, a patio and bar games.“

“This is a nice restaurant. Little out dated on the decor and the windows are very drafty during the winter time, air pours in them so you don't want to sit next to them if you want to stay warm. But they have really good soup. I had stuffed pepper soup and it was very yummy. Wish I got a whole bowl instead of a cup. The waitress was very friendly.“

“The best time in Chicago! DJ sabado was spinning & we met all our friends here, the vibe was intimate and the space was set up perfectly. The ambiance was classy, with plants and foliage and lots of wood finish everywhere. We got there around 1030 & had no issues getting tables which are first come first serve, but the music had us mostly standing and dancing anyway! It did get full though near 12.I had the Milagro (margarita) and it was incredible. 3 was all i needed for the entire night to keep the vibe going, they weren't too sweet or too strong, just right. The music kept changing and gave a little bit of everything which was exactly what the crowd wanted. Hip hop, reggaeton & Latin trap, r&b etc. & People weren't afraid to dance, strangers were hyping each other up, the whole place even danced together when well-known songs came on.The bathrooms were relatively clean (for a bar) and the lines for them never got too long. We didn't have to wait outside in the cold to get in and finding street parking wasn't mission impossible. And to top it all off, it's right next door to a Taco Bell to feed your munchies when you leave after a night of drinking Love this place, will be back 1000%We had the most amazing time“

“Cool bar. They have slot machines, bathrooms at both end of the bar, a cute little gazebo outside that's enclosed with a TV that's very nice. A lot of different drinks and just a nice little atmosphere. The only thing negative was the bartender was hard to trackdown. Either she was outside smoking or in the back talking on the phone. Waiting for her to serve us was a long time. She was nice but not very efficient. But I will say I do recommend this bar“

The prices are fair, and it would be a great place to come check out sports or some live music. They also have some slot machines.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options besides salads, but I believe they have a few.Kid-friendliness: Kids are certainly welcome and they have a kids menu, but it is really close to an actual bar.“
