“Great cocktails! The Spicy-Mango San is my fave 🥭 Rolls are amazing. A few faves: Chicago Fire, White Street, Mr. Miyagi. Nice to have somewhere this good so close!“
“I like them. Just sad they got rid of the take out lunch special. It’s the only way I could order my lunch to go back to work. Will have to find another place to go for sushi. ☹️
Updating my review after the owners reply. Glad to hear the lunch specials are still there!“

“After 12+ years of coming here, I can confidently say this place is special. The food is incredible every single time, the service is warm and friendly, and the owners are amazing people—so kind and truly appreciative of their customers. Places like this are rare, and it’s why I keep coming back year after year.“

“We recently visited for my bday on 5/31. The decor is beautiful and the service was stellar! Everyone was attentive and friendly. Our hibachi chef was amazing. He was extremely entertaining and super accommodating. He made our hibachi dinner experience the best we have ever had. The food was perfect and great portion sizes. My son even ordered Spider rolls and said they were amazing! My two teens and 1yr old enjoyed it immensely! Thank you all for the great celebration. We will be back for sure!!! Highly recommend to all!!“

“Good quality food. Menu is good what doesn't offer much for the adventurous. Ingredients for the rolls follow a predictable path and use crab stick for almost all the crab rolls. Enjoy the sauces and would say the food is very consistent. Lots of choices for those who do not want sushi.“

“Great food overall, however, rolls are very small compare to other places.“

“I have been coming here for years and Ruma Izakaya remains my favorite Japanese spot in the area. From the sushi to the entree’s, sides, incredible miso soup, and smoothies, Runa Izakaya wins my heart and my stomach over every time! Thank you for great service and even better food! 12/10 recommend😊“
