“I came here with family and friends to celebrate my two kids' birthday, and we had an awesome time. The hibachi is a must do. The kids and adults enjoyed not only the food but the entertainment of the chefs. I ordered the chicken and steak and they both were very good along with the other sides the chefs cooked up in front of us.“
“Chi-Tung seems to have captured the title as the best place for groups to celebrate birthdays on the South side of Chicago. The hibachi grill delivers tasty food in abundance from soup to dessert. We all packed up enough food for a second meal. There's something really fun about watching the chef quickly and expertly cook your food in front of you. My hats off to Toby and Ken for being game enough to go for the sake streams from the squirt bottles into their mouths--twice! Call me chicken!“
“2023 update: our first experience with the sushi here was impressive, but we have since ordered a few more times and I have to say that the food has been inconsistent. It's not bad and it's still a good value (esp. the party trays) , but it also hasn't lived up to that first tray the last few times we tried it. YMMV.Original review:Super friendly and helpful staff, fast delivery, and amazing sushi. Great value, too. My wife and I have lived in South Loop for years and have tried probably a dozen sushi restaurants in the area. This one is a little far from us so we didn't try it until today, but we were blown away by how tasty it was, especially given the affordable pricing and laid-back vibe.We got the Roll Out platter for ourselves and some friends. It's an incredible value for the amount of sushi included, and every roll was delicious. Fish portions were large and very fresh. A substantial part of the platter is "spicy" rolls which I was a little worried about - many sushi places grind up the meat into a mushy paste mixed with who-knows-what, but not here. These were easily the best spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail rolls I've ever had - they're good-sized bits of quality meat mixed with a delicious spicy mayo sauce. No meat paste. They were delightful.Anyway, we may have found a new favorite sushi spot. I just wish we had tried it sooner!“
“The food was great as well as the atmosphere/decor of the restaurant. The noodles were flavorful and well prepared. The only issue that dampened our experience was the attitude of the waitress. She seemed almost bothered that we were there. When asked where the restroom was she just waved off into the distance and wouldn’t actually speak to us. She made us feel very uncomfortable. The male server on staff switched with her and he was wonderful but at that point we just got our food to go and left.“
“I came just before the busy hour, it seems, I had time to sit down and enjoy my ube and hojicha ice cream though it was difficult navigating to leave because of the small size of the store. Everyone was very friendly, and I appreciated a place to put the dishes. All of the food is veryyy aesthetically pleasing! I was most excited to try the matcha crepes, and I didn’t like them much, but I will try the matcha cheese mousse next time! Excellent price by the way, everything was convenient.Wheelchair accessibility: This place does not seem wheelchair accessible- it was a very tight fit for myself without an aid. I would recommend stopping by during slower hours.“
“Ever since my go to restaurant Hong Min closed, I have been searching for a new Chinese restaurant. I live 4 minutes away and my girlfriends wanted to try this new restaurant Harmony in Palos Heights. They both ordered Pina coladas and they said it's pricey but pretty delicious. My dirty martini is gross. Dirty martini was my choice of drink so I've had quite a few and this is one that normally tells you they don't know what they're doing. It's just straight up vodka. No vermouth and no brine. Nothing but vodka with ice.Service was pleasant. Very friendly and the place was pretty big. Love how spacious the booths are which was very comfortable.Pot stickers was big and doughy and I had the Mongolian beef and it was delicious but it is spicy. I can eat spice and this was right up my alley. Chicken fried rice was also pretty good. Love how big the portions are and not skimpy at all.If my dirty martini was good, I probably would have given them 5 stars. It is my fault for ordering a dirty at a Chinese restaurant but with a liquor license, I expect that's doable. They could have simply say, please order from the menu or wine. We don't do martinis. Still a decent 4 stars. Will definitely be back for other dishes maybe no alcohol for me.“
“Sushi ? Sashimi, Makis, Spicy Rocked Shrimp, Gyozas, drinks were all yummy ??? def coming back ? and the Staff were super friendly and kind enough to help me sing Juanes song together Tengo La Camisa Negra for Karaoke ??? at 10pm :) can't wait to come back to sing ?“
“Very nice place, especially if you just want a really relaxing atmosphere, great vibes, super sweet and friendly and not to mention quick service with a smile. Sushi is fresh, Ramen is very delicious and flavorful. I can drink the broth by itself. But all and all, "It's a must go check out." ... This was family time!!!Parking: Yes, you still have to pay the parking meter on the weekends. I'm just telling you now. CPD is down the street...“
“Ignore the person who apparently doesn't understand what "EXPRESS" means. This place slaps. It's cheap, good quality, and everyone is nice and friendly. It's a tiny storefront and not really meant for dining in. Don't judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree.“
“Food is great. It's a cute little shop worth eating at. The meat lovers ramen was so delicious and definitely didn't disappoint with the amount of meat in it. The shrimp churro was tasty as well. The service was great the waitress were attentive.“
“On this visit we were celebrating a birthday. Follow us on this joyous occasion!First of all, this location is in the Chinatown Square Plaza. If you have never been, this plaza is huge and celebrates the Chinese culture showcasing their food, arts, crafts, fashion, etc. It is an electrifying experience walking around!JoyYee Plus is located in the second floor of the plaza. It’s an awkward location, but we overlooked it because we were excited for the experience. The restaurant is neat and modern with modern seating and furniture and some Manga paintings on the walls that make it exciting to walk into. But that’s about it for ambiance. No music or staff interaction other than the waitstaff. The main reason for the visit was the Shabu Shabu offering and the choice meats available. The menu is large and with some incredible options covering all food groups and menu choices! I wanted to order one of each! ?We ordered Mango Crab Rangoons, Japanese Fried Calamari and Chicken and Pork Potstickers. They were fantastic! The Rangoons were so crispy and tasty! The calamari had a good blend of all pieces and done in a lightly battered finish which allowed more of the calamari flavor to show through than the oil trapped in the batter. The potstickers were good too.We also ordered Truffle Oil Egg Fried Rice with Bulgugi Ribeye and CrawfishFried Rice. Both were EXCELLENT! The Truffle oil ribeye Wes soft and buttery and very flavorful. The crawfish were plentiful and I asked for it made Spicy and was just right. For the Shabu Shabu we ordered Kurobuta Pork Belly, Premium Short Ribs, American Kobe Eye Kalbi, American Wagyu Chunk Ribeye and Australian Wagyu Beef. All were cut thin, meat was good quality and had good marbling and looked amazing! The broth was lightly spiced and complimented all the cuts perfectly. I wish the waitress would have told us more about the sauce station available ($2 per person) so that we would have experienced all the flavors with all the great cuts.Deserts were good but the person who made them took 20+ minutes to produce. The fresh Mango Sunday was really good. All in all, it was a great day. The food was great, but the place lacked the trained service to make it great. Will we be back? Definitely! Their food is worth the trip. But their service has to improve for it to be a great place.“
“Delicious delicious delicious. Takoyaki and beef teriyaki were utterly delicious. This husband wife duo is an absolute powerhouse and they take pride in each other, their food, and their customers. Literally so good I went twice in one week.Dietary restrictions: Takoyaki was dairy free! With the help of Google translate I was able to convey my allergies to the staff“
“Been here multiple times for the all you can eat sushi special and will definitely be coming back for more.I can only eat like two specialty rolls and some appetizers but find it still cheaper to do AYCE vs pay per each roll. If you can eat a lot more than it’s definitely worth it.They only offer the AYCE during lunch until 3pm and they don’t offer it on major holidays so it’s something to keep in mind if you’re coming here for that.Sushi is great and the staff is very nice and attentive. Check this place out because you won’t regret it!Also, I’ve gotten takeout multiple times and have never had a problem or issue with my order.“
“I only tried the ramen and I found a hair at the bottom. I also didn’t really love the flavor too much. I wanted to love it and I like the concept and everything. I’d probably stick to somewhere else for the ramen and because of the hair I’m staying away ?“
“[FOOD] Drunken Noodle - Taste was great but the noodles were way too soft to the point that it kinda just fell apart. Maybe the chef was just having a bad day. Green Curry - The beef was mid but the curry and their version of naan is bomb. [SERVICE] Standard. [PLACE] It's like a medium sized restaurant, not too big or too small. Located on a busy street mainly meant for students and the locals. [VERDICT] I would get the curry again and maybe try other noodles. I know it's a fusion place so I can't expect the best but I am satisfied enough to come back again. 4/5“
“I do really enjoy coming here. The restaurant is still implementing health and safety measures (pick-up only). But the food is dependably good. I mostly order the ramen soups and appetizers. The food is well prepared, easy to put together when you get home, and leaves you satisfied. The only tip I'd give you is if you're really hungry, make sure you order enough. Since the food has a home-cooked effect, you shouldn't have any problems getting full.“
“Got take out last Friday. Food was hot and ready in 15 minutes. General Tso's chicken great! Good flavor and texture. It came with a with a very small side of rice. I'd def get this again. I also got the vegetable lo mein. Vegetables included zucchini, onion and carrot. It was is a little bland, but the noodles were nicely cooked- would pass on this dish. Overall, a solid neighborhood spot! We'll consider coming back mostly for the convenience, easy to park and pick up, but it won't be substituting any of our other Chinese take out spots.“
“I go there with a group for the lunch specials and the food was tasty and generous portions. The waitress is friendly but doesn't talk much because she's the only one waitressing and looks very busy, answering phone, cleaning up etc.“
“Vegetables at the airport? Sign me the hell up. My heart might call it quits if another burger and fries place pops up. I got the spicy tofu bowl. It was so good I had to ask the local youths what slaps meant. It slaps. Spice was on point. If you’re complaining about the spice, please stick to milder options. Don’t make the world bland for the rest of us. Veggies were actually fresh and crisp. Well-crafted bowl. Service was tops. I’m stopping here every time I come through“
“Cute little Cafe. Was looking for a place that had a gluten free menu while visiting. Server was friendly and knowledgeable and reassured me that they had a seperate prep area and cooked gluten free food on a seperate grill. I ordered the steak sandwich and fruit cup. Little pricey for a sandwich that was more veggie than meat. Fruit had a funny taste to it, maybe because it was out of season. Husband ordered regular steak sandwich as well, it was in a pita. He liked it. Daughter ordered chicken club and thought it was very good. They also gave gluten free dessert. I did not indulge in dessert. Overall, not a bad place to eat. If in Chicago again I would definitely stop in. I have Celiac and did not get sick from eating here, so that is a bonus.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu.Parking: Paid street parking.Kid-friendliness: My daughter was able to find something to eat.“
“review:I ordered sushi and beef rib soup and it was really delicious.Sushi: The sashimi is thicker than other places and has a good texture. It's actually better than most Japanese restaurants. I don't think there's any reason to go to another Japanese restaurant.Ugeoji Galbitang: It tastes like the real thing in Korea, not the typical MSG taste you get on the market. Be sure to come and try it. As I was eating frantically, I only took pictures of empty dishes. The spoon is the real spoon of truth. The owner is really kind. I will definitely visit again here.“
“I LOVE takoyaki but it's almost impossible to find on the South Side. This was perfect. Soft and savory. The crispy chicken ramen was flavorful and plentiful. A quiet and serene environment. Our for was served quickly and it was piping hot! I would definitely recommend.“
