“This is my husband’s and my favorite breakfast stop while traveling from Illinois to Tennessee. Why can’t other McDonald’s be just as good? We always have freshly baked breakfast sandwiches with efficient and friendly service. Real clean too. Look forward to another visit on our next trip.“

“The service was fine. Our server was polite and responsive. The atmosphere is casual. As there are lots of hard surfaces, the noise level is somewhat high. The food was good. The "black truffle" barrata is a ball of cheese on top of some stewed green vegetables. I detected no evidence of any truffles in the dish. No truffle aroma or flavor. Seafood pasta primavera was tasty with fresh seafood.“

“Driven by many times but tonight my fuance and I turned around to give it a shot. From the moment we walked we were blown away by the cleanliness and hospitality of the staff. We both ordered the double slaw burger with fries. Long story short it wss beyond delicious.
Ive always been a fan of smash burgers but this was by far the best I’ve ever had. Their slaw sauce was amazing, the fries were perfectly done with their own in home seasoning. To top ot off we were given a “samole” of their churros fries as well. I’d go their just for those I see many trips to our new favorite burger joint now.

“We went with our Burger Club to Lucky Burgers (a.k.a. Jelly Cafe after dark or 4pm, whichever comes first).

Jelly Cafe is a breakfast and lunch place open 7am until 2pm. Then they switch over to Lucky Burgers which is open from 4pm until no one is there and they want to go home. Though technically I think they’re open until 8 or 9pm.

There are a handful of items on the Lucky Burgers’ menu: about 5 variations of their classic burger, a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and waffle fries.

When we went, the place was empty and never got busy. Which opened the door for one of the owners, Scott, to regale us with tales of days gone by from his childhood in Evanston and the famous people he knew, grew up with, and worked with. It was nice hearing these stories and it was nice to give Scott something and somebodies to talk to as well.

The place has a large parking lot and is nice and clean on the inside. There is a tiny area with slot machines and a small bar/counter at the entrance.

The burgers are all smashburgers. They come as singles or double patties. Go for the double as there’s not a whole lot of meat once they’re smashed. The differences are the toppings. Scott recommends their housemade dijonaise sauce which is good, but ask for it on the side. The cook slathers it on the burger and that’s all you can taste. Once I scooped (you read that correctly) the sauce off my burger, it was a pretty good burger. The meat is seasoned well and cooked nicely and the bun holds up (despite dripping in dijonaise).

We all shared the chicken tenders as an appetizer. Five nice sized tenders come in the meal and you can choose your dipping sauce. Scott recommended their honey mustard which was very good and the ranch wasn’t bad either.

He is also johnny-on-the-spot to refill fill your drinks. I seriously thought that I would float away.

The best part is the price. All said and done for a burger, waffle fries, and a soda, with tax and tip is like $15-$18 bucks.

It’s a nice place that I need to go back to and visit for the Jelly Cafe side. AND return for their burgers, tenders, and more of Scott’s stories.“

“I absolutely love this location. A Chicago dog and fries after my long work shifts is the best. I'm really bad with names, but an older gentleman with glasses that was working tonight always goes above and beyond to make me feel better every time I come in late at night. The food is always perfect.“

“David was our server who was very attentive and kind , we had a coupon for a free appetizer we got the loaded potato chips they were stale had been reheated just like when you bring home for leftovers barely warm , we didn’t say anything we had the beef tenderloin sandwich which both were cooked just right and delicious We went back after the show for dessert asked for David , the dessert was excellent, bread pudding and strawberry shortcake, we had two coffees as well , when he brought them out they were barely luke warm he did make that right for us ,had to go to banquet room to get hot coffee, I know it was 10:15 and you close at 11 , but for 5 dollars for acup of coffee it should be fresh Our service was superb from him but pay a little more attention to temperatures of food We are subscribers and always on e there to eat, last time mashed potatoes were Luke warm had to be reheated“

“This restaurant was a great find. The cheeseburger and fried chicken bites were delicious. I highly recommend trying the chicken and lamb bowls. All sauces can be ordered on the side if you like your food mild. My kids loved the Nutella bubble tea and Oreo pudding. PLUS they have board games like Uno, Connect Four, Jenga, etc.“

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. Bagels are chewy, thaw nicely after being in my freezer for a bit, and make excellent sandwiches. Thank you for the Windex and cleaning up my water bottle catastrophe ;)“

“I ordered a small request of chicken tenders and cheese curds (that's it!!) And it took almost 30 minutes for them to get it to me. So much for fast food. The worst part was I ordered takeout, so by the time I got home, both the chicken and the curds were cold. But every other time has been no problem, with really good food.

Kid-friendliness: Really nice to children- they have special bags that kids meals come in, and prizes behind the counter for frequent visitors, not to mention the number of booths which we all know kids love for some reason...“
