Always excellent, mom and pop so food prep and quality are very consistent, very nice people not pricey. Huge menu. They used to have great deals before the pandemic. Free eggrolls for orders over 20 bucks but I don't know if they're still doing that. Even though its just a pick up area with a few tables I gave atmosphere 5 stars because its exactly what its supposed to be.

Got lunch for takeout from this strip mall Chinese place in Mundelein. It doesn't look like much, but it still beat expectations though. New China Chef has all the usual stuff, from beef to tofu and whatever. Big portions help make things a good value for what you get. The prices aren't bad especially on lunch specials. Came in and placed an order to go. It's a pretty cramped place, but there's enough room for a few tables for those eating inside. The atmosphere is pretty lame....read full review

I discovered this gem of a place about 5 days ago, and I have had it every day since. Absolutely delicious. The crispiest egg rolls. Most flavorful rice and perfect sauces on their perfectly fried chicken bits. I longed to find a good Chinese place and have settled for Panda. This by far takes the cake, icing and sweet filling in between . Haha! Try for yourselves you'll be glad you did.
