“This place is amazing! I came here with my wife and daughter, and boy, did I have the best lunch I've had in a while. I got the mozzarella and tomato sandwich with pesto on a baguette- and mamma Mia! The Italian boy in me is pleased ☺️. It was so fresh and simple, but so good. They've got some really great options here that are not too heavy but they hit the spot- and they've got that home made taste to 'em that's hard to find nowadays. Not to mention- the joint is gosh darn cute! You know my wife had to take many, many photos... ???The little cookies and pastries are classics, too. Getting a nice little treat has become a core memory for my little daughter. This place is a neighborhood staple.“
“Took my wife for a brunch date. Came to this cutest lil mama papa shop. Amazing Americano! Cardamom Black Tea yum! We shared one injera firfir almost couldn’t finish it. Very Delicious! “Jimmy's used to be kind of a hole in the wall but has now upgraded to their location on Montrose. It serves DELISH true NY style pizza. As a New England native in Chicago, Jimmy's is the only reliable NY slice around. You won't be disappointed. That being said, its better to get a whole pie than a reheated slice for that perfect experience. Garlic knots are so tasty and their fresh marinara is the perfect addition- tell your spouse to beware of your garlic breath! Salads are great also! Wait times for a pie on weekends/nights is a little tricky but worth it! Dining in is great- lots of high tops and booths for all preference. I met Jimmy once and if I remember correctly, he IS from NY... so its definitely original!“
“Very good brunch spot. Small and cozy but they do take reservations, so we were able to get in with a large group with minimal wait. The food, especially the Spanish omelet was spot on. The potatoes that came with the dishes was excellent.“

“Great spot, I came in for a meeting and had a great cappuccino and food - would have loved to do jebena but it would have been too much for one! It smelled delicious, the French bread is incredible, the frittata was wonderfully flavorful, and so was the baklava. I hope this place succeeds! You know a place is the real deal when you’re the only white folks in there XD“

“Love the handy drive-thru. Also love the wheat free options like chocolate chip cookies, biscuit that can substitute some for bread on sandwiches, and other pastries. Lots of pastries. LOVE the scones. Vegetarian options are tasty. Had the Rubén sandwich yesterday and it was awesome. Also love the mission of the facility. Staffed by residents of Misericordia's homes. Decent prices and great taste with a cause!!“
“We've eaten there 3 or 4 times now, each time delicious food and very nice service. We were able to sit and chat without worrying about taking up table for too long. When offered a coffee refill we were leaving and I asked if I could have refill in a to-go cup, request received with a smile. Looking forward to our next visit!“

Great tapas! Love, love, loved the Pulpo a la Planxta, the Patatas Barillos and the Melon con Jamon Serrano. The Mariscos Paella was good, but I missed the crispy bottom rice. Nice little place. Great menu that lights up. It’s BYOB, and fortunately there is a store across the street that has wine! If you forget to bring your own. Have already recommended it to others.“
“This is the CUTEST cafe. The coffee was excellent and the food was delicious (I had the garden bagel, and WOW). It was pumping when I was there and the food/coffee still came out really quickly. I think everything was really reasonably priced considering how high-quality the ingredients are. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. I had an opportunity to talk to the owners and they were just as lovely. Can't recommend this place enough - I will be back!Dietary restrictions: I'm vegetarian and the garden bagel was SO good and super filling.“

“Great place to get lunch! I like getting the duck confit sandwich, the goat cheese sandwich, and also the green lasagna. The staff are always really nice and helpful. Food usually comes out pretty fast - I often will call for pickup and it is ready within 10-15 minutes. Really great neighborhood spot!“
“This is a great neighborhood pub! We've come here for all the different meals and have not been disappointed. As they have expanded their menu it has only gotten better. Highlights are the pies, gin drinks, and the matcha latte. It's an unexpected fun spot for breakfast on weekdays too. If we lived even closer we would be here all the time. The ambiance is a traditional British pub which we love!“
“The plating at Sweet Moon is so exquisite that I imagine a chef using a pair of tweezers to meticulously place each item to be displayed on the dish. My mother and I talk for at least two minutes about the layout and design of the plated food before diving in and being even more amazed by the flavor combinations. My favorite menu item is the Merengue Roulette, a gluten-free merengue with mascarpone pistachio cream, raspberry jam, baked almond, and whole pistachios.For such well-crafted and well-balanced dishes, the wait time is not long, usually not exceeding 10 minutes. Although the place is typically always filled with people all customers are respectful of the noise level and it is quiet and serene. Great place to work or catch up with a friend!“
“I’ve been to a ton of Chicago north side cafes, and there are two things I always crave / like to get:1. An egg and cheese bagel sandwich2. A Boston cream donutBoth of which knocked my socks off, the bagel sandwich was presented neatly in a basket, the bagel was flavorful and delicious, the bacon crisp and meaty cheese on egg all were flawless.The Boston cream had the right dough, was filled perfectly and had a delicious glaze, something I can’t say so much about my experience with Stan’s somewhat nearby.I also ordered an iced americano that came in a perfectly chilled metal tumbler.I don’t live nearby but I am now seeking out Spoken Cafe. So good.“
“Pomeroy is a cozy spot for French food lovers, but it’s on the pricey side. I visited with a friend; she ordered a salad with beef, and I had a salad and two glasses of wine. She had one glass. In the end, we each paid $80. It’s a bit surprising how fast the cost adds up. So, while the food and place are nice, be prepared for the price.“
“This place has the most incredible crepes, both sweet and savory. The only bad part is choosing what to get. We always go way overboard and get a couple different ones to eat as a family, but you can't help it. It's all delicious.“
“We stopped in one afternoon to Harmony Coffee Bar. You know what harmony is ? A combination of things or parts that forms a connected and unified whole. That just about sums up our visit to this adorable cafe. I ordered the Gold Crush Latte which is topped with Dalgona which melted into the latte giving it a slightly sweet and mellow flavor. My companion ordered an iced Gold Crush Latte so they could enjoy the Dalgona as it slowly released its sugary cookie flavor into the coffee beverage. As we savored our drinks in the pleasant and cozy seating, they prepared our Croffle, a combination of croissant and waffle, and it was crispy and buttery and caramelly. All in all, a harmonious mix of flavors and textures that added up to a very pleasant midday interlude.“

“Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! “This is such a cute spot! We came early on a Sunday morning and only had to wait about five minutes for a table. Our server was kind and friendly. The coffee was delicious and served in varying styles of mugs which added to the homeyness and intimacy of the restaurant. I ordered the smoked salmon scramble which I ended up being a little disappointed by but I think that was just due to personal preference. I did really like the biscuit though! I think if I were to go again I'd get a sweet breakfast. My friend ordered some pancakes that looked super duper extra tasty. They make their whipped cream in-house and it was awesome. “My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owners, Chris and Nikki and the bartender, Monica are always welcoming and take good care of us. Nice atmosphere, good company, lots of tvs if you want to watch the game, great music playing in the background. The food is always very good and freshly made. Some of our favorites are the chicken kabobs, the Jerry's Special, and the burgers, which are excellent! Half price martinis on Wednesdays with a long list of options to choose from. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there and they were very accommodating and everyone had a great time!“

I was served by two lovely older women, who immediately made me feel at home. I ordered the cheese "pita," which is a burek, and which came out piping hot. The Turkish coffee was as good as any I've had back home. Tip: Although Turkish coffee is served with no cream (that's the correct way to drink it), I did ask for a bit of milk on the side. “Took the family out for Sunday breakfast and we were excited to visit this spot. I was looking forward to the Llpingacho Benedict, which I was so curious about. The flavor was very good and unique with the potato cakes and grilled tomatoes. Surprisingly, the most tasty item we had were the pancakes. My son ordered the oreo pancakes and I had a bite of it. I was floored by the rich taste and texture of the pancakes. I'd return just for those. Before ending this post, I cannot forget to mention that they have outstanding service and hospitality. Check this spot out, you won't be disappointed.“

Always seems busy but the turnover is pretty fast so I’ve always been able to get a good place to sit. “I come here every now and then to grab a Vietnamese coffee and walk around the area, but I feel like the ladies no that work here aren’t necessarily the most friendliest. I enjoy local coffee shops where you’re greeted to start your morning, but this isn’t the type of place where I get that good energy.While the place is cute with plants by the windows, I also think the lighting inside is a bit dark and one side is natural light. I don’t know.I do enjoy the drinks that this place whips up though which is what I really praise it for.“
