“We hired Uncle Bub’s to cater our wedding in September. We cannot begin to describe to you how amazing the staff was from the planning process, to the set up on the day of, and to the friendliness and helpfulness from the staff on our special day. The food was great and we had multiple guests express how much they enjoyed the food. During the planning process their attention to detail was unmatched and they touched on the smallest of details that I had not even thought of. They truly work hard to ensure that everything is flawless and to help ease your stress during an already stressful time. The staff went above and beyond their duties on the day of and were helping with more than just the food. They truly made the day so special for us and I cannot thank them enough. Highly recommend them for any of your catering needs!“

“I had the Beautiful Disaster for the Sunday Brunch. I also took home a full slab of Ribs and their homemade sauce. All of it was outstanding. The French Toast with Bacon at the bottom of the Disaster was amazing. The Ribs and sauce were out of this world. I will be back!!!“

“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

I've met John Jr. in the past but had the pleasure of being served by Sr. today. “Rib tips were awesome and so was the catfish steak. I'm glad I found a real bbq joint with good food and not all the frills. I've been missing this since living in Atlanta. They only have sides (vegetables) on Friday and Saturday but they still get a five star from me!“

“Gave this place a whirl during my lunch before tuning 4 pianos at Crone Middle School. It exceeded my expectations so much that I came back after tuning those pianos which was 4.5 hours later and the cashier even recognized me which was a nice surprise. Customer service was great and the food was even better. I love that they have a few different sauces to experiment with the tasty food. The sassy, shark sauce and shark white and can’t forget there version of the Carolina sauce. All of it was on point. I had the half chicken and a sausage link with a side of green beans, mashed potatoes and sweet mashed later on with the corn muffin. Everything was kosher and definitely will be back next week as there are more pianos to be tuned at different schools. Highly recommend this place!“

“I had the pleasure of trying the burger, sausage, broccoli salad, fries, banana pudding, Mac and queso, and sticky pork belly—and let me tell you, every single bite was an absolute delight.
The sticky pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sausage link was perfectly juicy and bursting with flavor. The fries were golden, crispy, and even better when paired with the tangy Texas Red and Carolina Gold sauces.
The burger and the sausage link, though, were the (tied) stars of the show. Both choices are simple and very reasonably priced. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Each bite was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. The sausage link was made with a perfectly balanced blend of ingredients that made it impossible to put down.
The Mac and queso was a standout as well—completely unique and absolutely next-level. It’s not your traditional mac n’ cheese; it’s a bold, creamy creation that left me wanting more. The broccoli salad was a refreshing surprise, with a perfectly balanced tanginess and flavor that was, quite literally, DILL-icious!
I finished off the meal with their banana pudding, which was the perfect way to end such a feast. Light, airy, and just sweet enough, it was like a cloud of dessert heaven.
On top of all the incredible food, the service was quick, warm, and friendly. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu—this place is a total gem!“

“Me and my sister decided to try SLYCE of NY today for dinner.
I been seeing this place for a while now and my best friend also told me the pizza was decent.
We came 30 min before closing and they had only three slices left ready to eat.
We got the following items:
- 1 Cheese Slice ( 3/5 )
- 2 Chopped Cheese Slice ( 4.5/5 )
- 1 Chopped Cheese Fries ( 5/5 )

And one of the best BBQ sauces I love.
The rip tips are great.
The ribs are great.
The pulled pork is great.
I love the garlic bread wiith there home BBQ sauce on it.
They use teal.oak wood for the pit to smoke the meat.
I have been going there for 15 years or 16 yesrs, always happy there.
Looks great on the outside and lots of kool antiques decorating the inside.
Go try it, you will love it.

“Bbq + tacos, yes please. BBQ Chicken Taco with pico de gallo, cilantro, Pulled Pork Taco caribbean salsa, pico de gallo & spicy lime aioli and Brisket Burnt Ends Taco with chimichurri, slaw and cilantro. At $3.50 to $4.00 a taco, they were small. But they were tasty. #spicemeister approved.“

“My fiancé and I have been a gyro war. I’m a Skokie Dengeos girl and he’s a diehard Squabs fan. While it’s hard to compete with childhood memories after trying Squabs I totally get it. The gyro was perfectly cooked, the tzatziki was beautiful, the fries were delicious. The absolute standout was the customer service. I was having such a bad day. I confused the gyro plate with the gyro dinner and they took such good care of me. I had cried the whole ride over and left with the biggest smile and a plate of leftovers. 10/10 I will be coming back every chance I get.“

“Love this place for the Renegade Sirloin. Get it every time. I ventured out once and tried the prime rib, which was surprisingly disappointing in flavor. But again, the Renegade Sirloin is the way to go. And the mashed potatoes...OMG!

“I LOVE JOE'S BBQ & FISH!!!Very good food and prices.They are usually busy...sometimes there is a wait. Totally worth it!! Great sauce, too!!! I usually get the tips or wings or catfish or even sometimes a full slab of ribs. I am a very satisfied customer!!!Joe is there working, too. He puts in a lot of hours there, watching over the place.I REALLY RESPECT JOE!!!He has a new BBQ smoker that helps him produce consistently DELICIOUS BBQ!!For the BEST BBQ AROUND, eat at JOE'S BBQ AND FISH!!!“

“So let me start by saying this place was amazing the service was impeccable very attentive our server (Hailey) was the most sweetest person she came to check up on us very few mins her recommendations were on point and enjoyed every one she recommended now let me talk about the food the food was amazed the appetizers were delicious better than I expected them tater skins and rattlesnake bites and fried pickles is a must try that onion blossom OMG nothing can compare onion rings could never lol my daughter got the chicken critter with sirloin, and I got the ribeye with ribs and the ribs were so tender fall off the bone the taste of it was of a smoky grill which me and my daughter love grilled food the steak was cooked perfectly they made my daughter birthday so special and this was my daughter’s first time there and she said she wants to come back every year I just want to say keep up the great job Texas Roadhouse the hospitality we were shown was off the chart give your servers a raise because they were outstanding“

“We visited Blackwood BBQ at the Mart yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, but the staff were incredible. My brother is deaf, and Darnell and Demetrius were patient and helpful, communicating with him directly rather than looking to me for help communicating with him. This seems like a small gesture, but it's a really big deal for us and we appreciated their kindness.“
