I love green tomatoes the best I found since my on. The smoked Brisket Burgers you won’t stop eating them. They are in rivers oaks right now but they are moving downtown Chicago. “Delicious food! Excellent bread (our entire family LOVES the warm bread)! My wife and I both had salmon with broccoli and two sweet potatoes each (my wife was also given rice). Our 11 year old son had Mac n cheese with a side of fruit (grapes). We arrived at 3:40 on the Monday immediately following Father's Day (we planned this to avoid a potential long wait the day before). We only waited about 7 minutes to be seated, but others who arrived immediately after us were told that the wait would be about 15 minutes. I'D STRONGLY RECOMMEND GETTING THERE BEFORE 4PM IF AT ALL POSSIBLE; OTHERWISE, EXPECT A 20-40 MINUTE WAIT! Unfortunately, NO RESERVATIONS ARE ACCEPTED.

“I gave five stars because I absolutely love they turkey tips I stumbled upon this location last month and I have been recommending my customers to go there but today was a very bad experience for me and I probably won’t be returning because the lady at the counter today was very very very rude to me and I truly don’t appreciate that. This is my first time seeing her there it’s usually a nice gentleman man that works there I asked her may I have a bag please for my food she turned around and looked at me with disgust and said “I’m going to put it in a bag “then took the bag and threw it on the counter at me I’m so glad that I’m more in to my church now because she almost took me there but the devil is a lie. So sad because I actually love their turkey tips. I don’t understand why people work at an establishment that they don’t like or don’t like being there because to me customer service is everything especially when I spending my hard earned money.“

“I recently visited the Friday evening of the Labor Day weekend, about 6:30pm. I usually set my expectations lower anytime they’re especially busy/any holiday, Of course there was a significant line, but you could tell they had prepared for the last summer holiday rush. The line moved efficiently and I placed my order for 2 extra large tips. To my pleasant surprise I was in and out in just under 20 minutes. Both orders were tender, plentiful, well seasoned, and that mild sauce was slamming. The quality didn’t suffer one bit, even at the end of a busy Friday evening on a holiday weekend. BBQ King is terrific. Not only are their flavors accurate, but with being a couple thousand miles away from the nearest epicenter of bbq, they've done a really great job bringing those flavors as north as we are.

One of the ways I judge bbq is actually the sides. Anyone can watch a youtuber 15 times and probably put together a decent brisket or pork shoulder, but can they make really good mac and cheese? Can they get the cornbread right? Can they give just enough spice to the green beans? Trust me - if a bbq spot has really good sides, they know what they're doing.

“Came in almost before closing time! The location was easily findable and had a very nice atmosphere! Super good vibe and feel! Once we got to the counter a nice gentleman named Jose was the one that helped us! That guy is the MVP! You can tell he enjoys his job and does it pretty well! He recommended us some good sauces and the salsa macha! Definitely will come back just because of the good service we had! The food was insanely good! Brisket was beyond fire! “Definitely a must try ...well a add to rotation of places to frequent. Went on a Friday night and the owner came out to tell us about a few items/ samples. Not only was the turkey tips tender and flavorful, the sides were definitely a costar. Greens and Mac were 10/10. Oh and let's not forget about the cornbread, chef's kiss. Next trip I make that way , the pizza selection will be a next try and I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed.“
