This establishment also has “featured” chefs to promote other black businesses. In addition to meaty tips, you can also get ox tails and other specials. While waiting on your food, there’s a bar area so you’re able to order a cocktail. Aside from first-hand experience and word-of- mouth, I often rely on customer reviews to determine if I should support a business. “Tried this place for the first time and they did not disappoint! When you walk on its a quaint little place with a New Orleans type of vibe. Food was incredible and the bbq sauce was a must try. The food was delicious, I had the brisket grilled cheese and it was very flavorful. My husband had the Pit Plater with brisket and he said it was very delicious. I was a bit bummed about the coleslaw, it had no flavor and was very dry. We were also a bit bummed they didn't have cornbread on the menu. Overall I would definitely recommend ?“

“Tried the jerk barbecue rib tips. I wasn't terribly fond of them but then I remembered they were JERK so I settled into the flavor. Next visit I tried the beef short ribs and they were very good with the sweet potatoes and the greens both also good. Last visit I tried the oxtails. They were incredible and I look forward to getting them again. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. However, this time the greens were extremely bland, but that won't stop me from going back.“
