“Portillo's: Chicago Classics Done Right

Portillo's is a Chicago institution for a reason! Their Italian beef is amazing - thinly sliced, flavorful, and perfectly dipped. The cheeseburger was juicy and cooked just the way I like it. Can't go wrong with their crinkle-cut fries either. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the wait times can be long. But hey, that's how you know it's good, right? The onion rings were crispy. I also ordered the cake shake, the spicy lemon cake shake. It was okay but the first time I got it it was pretty good. Other than that, my visit here was awesome.“

“I came in tonight and was excited because I’ve been craving a jrito crunch and have been for about 3 years and my buddy Carl told all his fb friends that owner is a previous franchisee of jrs and they have the chil ito which is this same xact indgredients (yes same chili and cheese and same chips as jrito everything was phenomenal came from Thornton which is about a half hour plus drive. So so worth the drive I refused to touch anything til I got home so I could enjoy that first bite. Thank you to the owners for preserving the beautiful food of your past establishment only to bring it to your new establishment! Everything was phenomenal!!!“

“Food is absolutely delicious5, everything I've tried. I'm ready to have it again. I just wish they would trim the one inches high entryway outside a bright yellow. I've even red around the yellow to draw attention to the "trip", at other establishments. It's just an accident waiting to happen. Thank you.“

“They have a LONG menu. Everything is have tried is good but I can't get enough of the Beef Melt. The meat has so much flavor and is a big sandwich. The ladies that work here are always friendly and get you in and out quickly. OH YEAH the prices are so low it's like they're giving food away..lol!! I found this place my accident and glad I did now I can't stop going.“

“Basic fast food but on point. Never been disappointed by anything and I've eaten here since like 5th grade. Beefs, Dogs all are good. Prices on point too, you might can find coupons in the mailers or papers that still circulate but I used to see them in the Value Saver that comes in the mail or the Penny Saver but that's been a while but really not checking for them either lol
Parking: Depends on location have been to almost all but definitely parking for at least 20 or more spacesmaybr.“

I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a great experience!“

“The hotdogs are good in my opinion they are better in portillos, but that's not why I go. What I go for is the gyros and fries the best gyro I have tried in the US and with fries,bev the best combo you could get and I get its a good distance from the city but if your just visiting it is the perfect place.“

“my husband had a taste for chicken I wanted a gyro so we went to Athens to get a gyro while we were there he noticed that they had a fried chicken dinner so we ordered it unfortunately being late in the day they were out of chicken but the owner went to the supply store and got the chicken took our oder and delivered it for free and the chicken was delicious would recommend Athens to everyone great service“

“If you like Ducks back then you will like this place. Excellet tortas and Italian Beef plus Gyros too...They got fatter fries than skinny McDonald ones. They also have Horchatta both as a drink and slushy must try.

“Chicago's restaurants, beside Family I miss the most....it's our restaurants FOODS that I miss at #2. A real variety and hard for me to like other cities' food when they claim it's a Chicago Dog or Italian Beef...it's always something missing. Please understand, at Maxwell Street Express you walk up to a counter and your standing safely on the sidewalk, now you can choose to stand at the counter & eat your food, but usually we just walk up, order, watch them prepare our food, pay & leave... it's one of many ways Chicago feeds you well. To those who read & follow... when you visit Chicago, make sure you taste the really great food of Chicago or make a trip to visit "THE TASTE OF CHICAGO"“
