Habibi’s Chicken & Falafel is a restaurant in Oak Park that serves really, really good Lebanese food. The shawarma is excellent, with proper rotisserie shawarma, great flavor, and slightly crispy bits of meat. The pickled vegetables in the wrap add the right amount of acidity and crunch. The garlic sauce is intensely garlicky, creamy, and absolutely delicious, and paying extra for another garlic sauce is recommended. The rice is also really good, and the grape leaves are vegetarian and delicious.
The spicy wrap with fries, a bowl, and hummus are all delicious and hit the spot. The bowl is really big and filling, and the spicy wrap had heat from the first bite. The fries were really good too, and the hummus slapped so hard. The staff is very friendly and answer questions. The seating space is quite small, so takeout may be needed when busy. The bathroom is very nice, clean, and sanitized.
The atmosphere is so cute and feels like home, so clean and so well decorated. The food is delish and the service is wonderful. The chicken shawarma and grape leaves were kinda bland compared to similar businesses in the area, but the portions are good. The shawarma wrap is like almost a foot long. The lentil soup and falafel were absolutely delicious, flavorful, and satisfying, and tasted freshly made.
