“Had a taste for smash burger and kept driving by this place. The GF and I decided to stop by and try it out. I got the Hot Chicken sandwich and she had the Smash burger with everything. Chicken sandwich was juicy,the slaw was tasty and tue bun was nice and soft. She was impressed with the smash burger. Can’t leave out the seasoned crinkle fries which tied it all together! We will be back soon!“

“We went with our Burger Club to Lucky Burgers (a.k.a. Jelly Cafe after dark or 4pm, whichever comes first).

Jelly Cafe is a breakfast and lunch place open 7am until 2pm. Then they switch over to Lucky Burgers which is open from 4pm until no one is there and they want to go home. Though technically I think they’re open until 8 or 9pm.

There are a handful of items on the Lucky Burgers’ menu: about 5 variations of their classic burger, a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and waffle fries.

When we went, the place was empty and never got busy. Which opened the door for one of the owners, Scott, to regale us with tales of days gone by from his childhood in Evanston and the famous people he knew, grew up with, and worked with. It was nice hearing these stories and it was nice to give Scott something and somebodies to talk to as well.

The place has a large parking lot and is nice and clean on the inside. There is a tiny area with slot machines and a small bar/counter at the entrance.

The burgers are all smashburgers. They come as singles or double patties. Go for the double as there’s not a whole lot of meat once they’re smashed. The differences are the toppings. Scott recommends their housemade dijonaise sauce which is good, but ask for it on the side. The cook slathers it on the burger and that’s all you can taste. Once I scooped (you read that correctly) the sauce off my burger, it was a pretty good burger. The meat is seasoned well and cooked nicely and the bun holds up (despite dripping in dijonaise).

We all shared the chicken tenders as an appetizer. Five nice sized tenders come in the meal and you can choose your dipping sauce. Scott recommended their honey mustard which was very good and the ranch wasn’t bad either.

He is also johnny-on-the-spot to refill fill your drinks. I seriously thought that I would float away.

The best part is the price. All said and done for a burger, waffle fries, and a soda, with tax and tip is like $15-$18 bucks.

It’s a nice place that I need to go back to and visit for the Jelly Cafe side. AND return for their burgers, tenders, and more of Scott’s stories.“

“Outstanding. Saw a post on Insta and happened to be cruising through Palatine so I decided to form my own opinion. I’m certainly glad I stopped. Everything was on point. Burger was so good. I’m not normally down with waffle fries but these were great. Nice and crispy and the seasoning wasn’t over powering. I also did the Oreo shake because why not! I will definitely be coming back cuz I’m curious how the chicken sandwich is. Seriously a great smash burger and worth the money imo. Staff was great, friendly and upbeat. The whole place was nice and clean. Love the vibe with the 60’s diner music. Cheers Reps!

They were so helpful, let us set up early, refrigerated a cake for us, had appetizers out super quick! There was probably about 40 of us and the bartenders/waiters were awesome… it was a huge success! Definitely think of Alley 64 for a group/party options!“

“My family ate here today after a soccer game and it was the perfect spot to grab some quick food. They have a lot of items on their menu, and everything we got was great: chicken pita, gyro, burgers, chicken fingers and soup. The portions are large and you get your money's worth here. The owner was extremely friendly and you can tell he takes pride in his restaurant. We will be back!“

“Food was hot and fresh. The employees there are always helpful and friendly. They had some fun Halloween decorations up, and the restaurant and the restrooms were clean.

Parking: Plenty of parking including handicap parking.

Kid-friendliness: Anytime we have gone to this Wendy's the employees have been kind, friendly, helpful, and always doing their jobs.

“I gotta give credit when credit is due. Recently I have started to come to BK after several people have said their iced coffee is really good. Love the vanilla iced coffee. Tastes like actual French Vanilla. The croissant’wiches can’t go wrong with the price, and a large hash brown order is way more than I expected. Very filling for the price & barely over 10.00 plus the person at the drive thru is always nice. Also, the chicken nuggets are delicious as well, and fair pricing. Has been my go to for a while.“

“Only reason I am giving it 4 stars, I am surprised, I know I didn’t want cheese sauce on my bacon breakfast burrito, , but even without, the burrito is very dry. They give you two hot sauce packets of Cholula. If you have an intolerance to anything spicy, I don’t know your tolerance level but my lips are still tingling 5-10 minutes after. It definitely can get your nose running a bit if you have too much. I had the packet on it, not a lot, but even without the amount of liquid, it still was very dry. The burrito stayed intact. No crumbling or breaking apart. Small cold brew & seasoned potatoes very good. Also the honey butter biscuit is delicious. Came to around 12.00. A meal to fill you up for a while. Service inside the girl was very nice as well.“
