“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.“

“Juan is the one that has helped me the most.
Everyone there is really kind and works well together.
I’ve DoorDash there on many occasions and Eat the food for takeout.
My favorite is getting the baconator meal.
The only sadness I have is the company calls it a baconator But no matter what location in the Chicagoland area I buy it at there’s not much bacon on there. I have to ask and pay for more bacon or use the computer to do so.
But that has nothing to do with this location.
Juan Has really made sure my experience was good helped me with the computer if a drink was out of the machine he made sure that it was taken care of.
If I needed anything extra on the sandwich, he made sure it was on there.

Everything is perfect at this location and I’ll always go back.

For my one single complaint about enough bacon on the one sandwich that is an issue against Corporate why call it a baconator When I normally only find three or four pieces of bacon on it.
Maybe I’m in the wrong, but I don’t think I am and I can’t blame one restaurant. This is definitely a Corporate issue. I will change that sandwich name cause it definitely does not fit the sandwich correctly..

“This was our first visit to this Dairy Queen location as we were passing through for work. My husband and I each ordered a blizzard in the drive-through. They were delicious and prepared correctly. The staff member we talked with was very friendly, and the drive-through line moved very quickly. We also really liked that no employees were outside smoking because that always lowers our opinion of the cleanliness of restaurants.
We decided to sit in the car in the parking lot to eat them because the roofs over the parking areas provided shade on that sunny day.
We would definitely visit again whenever we're passing through and want ice cream.“

“Very good food, we opted to try this place instead of taking the kids to somewhere like mcdonalds and paying almost the same prices. Fries were delicious! The food is very very good and you know it's a great place to go when there is a wait line, sometimes out the door. You have the option to eat outside in good weather. “Saw this place plenty of times on social media and finally gave it a try today. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak combo with fries and a drink; also got a 6 piece buffalo wings. Ended up getting 2 of their homemade ranches, which have this great dill flavor. Everything was absolutely delicious especially because it’s all cooked in beef tallow. The cheesesteak had a generous portion of steak and cheese on it, all served on this fresh seeded bread that had a delicious garlic bread taste. The buffalo wings were great too. Everything was cooked fresh but the star was that dill ranch. I put it on everything and it just amplified the flavors. Definitely going to be visiting again, highly recommended.“

“It’s a good sandwich place. I tried a few of their sandwiches and haven’t had one I didn’t. You can also modify them to your liking. It’s usually not busy which I like because we can order and get our food quickly. This is our daughter’s favorite sandwich place (she’s 4 but knows what she likes lol).“

“We went with our Burger Club to Lucky Burgers (a.k.a. Jelly Cafe after dark or 4pm, whichever comes first).

Jelly Cafe is a breakfast and lunch place open 7am until 2pm. Then they switch over to Lucky Burgers which is open from 4pm until no one is there and they want to go home. Though technically I think they’re open until 8 or 9pm.

There are a handful of items on the Lucky Burgers’ menu: about 5 variations of their classic burger, a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and waffle fries.

When we went, the place was empty and never got busy. Which opened the door for one of the owners, Scott, to regale us with tales of days gone by from his childhood in Evanston and the famous people he knew, grew up with, and worked with. It was nice hearing these stories and it was nice to give Scott something and somebodies to talk to as well.

The place has a large parking lot and is nice and clean on the inside. There is a tiny area with slot machines and a small bar/counter at the entrance.

The burgers are all smashburgers. They come as singles or double patties. Go for the double as there’s not a whole lot of meat once they’re smashed. The differences are the toppings. Scott recommends their housemade dijonaise sauce which is good, but ask for it on the side. The cook slathers it on the burger and that’s all you can taste. Once I scooped (you read that correctly) the sauce off my burger, it was a pretty good burger. The meat is seasoned well and cooked nicely and the bun holds up (despite dripping in dijonaise).

We all shared the chicken tenders as an appetizer. Five nice sized tenders come in the meal and you can choose your dipping sauce. Scott recommended their honey mustard which was very good and the ranch wasn’t bad either.

He is also johnny-on-the-spot to refill fill your drinks. I seriously thought that I would float away.

The best part is the price. All said and done for a burger, waffle fries, and a soda, with tax and tip is like $15-$18 bucks.

It’s a nice place that I need to go back to and visit for the Jelly Cafe side. AND return for their burgers, tenders, and more of Scott’s stories.“

“Had a fantastic experience at Epic Burger in Barrington! Having halal options is huge for us, and the food here is made fresh and delicious. I ordered the halal beef burger, and my daughter loved her halal chicken sandwich. A special shoutout to the manager, Arthur, who provided an outstanding service and made our visit wonderful. He assured us that there is no cross contamination and when my daughter ordered her shake, she was skeptical about the whipped cream (from Oberwise) so Arthur made sure that the whipped cream was not Gelatin based. Went out of the way to make sure we are satiafied. Highly recommend this spot for great food and excellent hospitality!“

“This is an amazing decades long family owned destination for the VERY BEST hot wings! The seating is comfortable inside and outside!
The wings are superb, meaty, fresh, cooked to perfection and sauced how wings are supposed to be. Great sauce choices and sides as well as other meal items.

I found this little gem in the late 80's and frequented for years.
I had moved away and hadn't been back in over 25 years.

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. When they went up to the counter, the employee mentioned that it needs to be purchased on the app. With them not having a clear understanding that the ice cream was included in their kids meal and was on the receipt, the manager got involved and said she will write it in the book so when they come in next, they will receive the free ice cream. Fast forward a couple weeks later, sure enough the manager did leave the name in the book and the kids were able to get the free ice cream. Shout out to the manager because anyone could have said sure we’ll write your name and not take it seriously. I don’t know your name but thank you for following through on your word.
