“Love this place. The pancakes absolutely slap. The service is consistently good, and $70 for two people to eat VERY well these days honestly feels like a minor economic miracle.
My only complaint: there are an astonishing number of high-school-aged girls dressed like Sunday brunch is immediately followed by an audition for Love Island.
And listen, wear what you want. I support freedom. I just wasn’t prepared to encounter that much freedom directly after church.
That they could perhaps rein in a little.
Otherwise? Excellent. Great food, good service, generous portions, and we left completely stuffed for about $70.
The pancakes alone are worth going back for.“

“This is a gem. I wish I lived closer as I would eat here regularly. The menu is a bit meat and tree nut heavy which concerned me but the sole special was delicious and the Gelato was lovely though the portion was too large. The prices were very fair. I suggest you try this restaurant!“

“I hired The Hungry Mule in Lake Zurich to cater a luncheon for about 65 people. The owner and staff were easy to work with. Very accommodating. “My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.“

“What a great experience. We got out of a late wake and we’re excited Lous was still open. The person who answered was great as this out of Towner asked a bunch of questions. Pizzas were ready exactly when they said they would be and they were fantastic. First time having Lou’s thin crust and it was just as good as the deep dish.“

“This place is awesome! My husband ordered the cowboy pork chop from the menu - It was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. It was tender, and it was in a fantastic portion. I had the rack of lamb and it was the most tender lamb I have had in years and deliciously seasoned. It was reasonably priced and they provide provided a full meal - Perfectly cooked potatoes/fries and vegetables. Service was fast and the atmosphere is so relaxing, warm and inviting. We look forward to returning soon!“

“We have been there twice. My 6 year old had a blast both times. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The coffee is delicious. One part that stood out to me both times is how well the parents monitor their children. We’ve been to similar places and had a few issues bullying. I’m not sure if it’s the layout but here you’ll see the parents actively watching, and even engaging with their kids. Thank you for providing such a safe place for our kids to play.“
