“Came here for dinner with my wife and kids while we were in the area and had a great meal. I got the German platter with potato salad and sauerkrat. My wife got the broasted chicken sandwich. The kids got a burger, mac n cheese, and grilled cheese. If you love German food, the German platter is what to get. The potato salad was delicious. Mix that with a delicious bratwurst and Thuringer sausage and perfectly tangy sauerkraut, and my stomach was happy. My wife loved how tender, moist and flavorful the broasted chicken was and I didn't hear any complaints from the kids. An added bonus is that this is the oldest continuously running restaurant in Illinois. So there's some cool history there.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kid's menu and carpeted floors to dampen some of the more "interesting" sounds that little ones can make.“

“Went there on 6/22/22. We ate outside and were pleased to have a musician playing on the patio. The food was excellent as was the service. Bring your appetite and still expect to take home leftovers. Classic menu of steaks, chops, sandwiches and top notch BBQ. This will be a mainstay for us moving forward. “I am 38, first time ever going here, was amazing. Went with my gf, my little brother and a group of friends. It was on Monday (Memorial Day 2024-4pm show), smaller crowd and at first, it was dead quiet so I just got up and began and started yelling for our knight (yellow/red) and then the crowd just became louder around the stadium. But yellow/red won! It was an awesome experience. Good food, friendly people and good stuff. Came away with some souvenirs, but you WILL pay, however, it was all worth it. Will be back in the future sometime soonish.“

Got seated right away and after reviewing the menu, went with Hokkaido Cha-Shu Ramen and small order of Karrage.Chicken was perfectly fried, only had few pieces and took the rest home because I wanted to enjoy the ramen. Now, I'm not a fan of miso ramen, but their version was better than what I had expected and had in many other joints in the states. I was bit lost with the two potato wedges they threw in there and the cha-shu was bit dried unfortunately.Service was awesome, water got filled w/o me asking and food came out quickly. The place got busy after 5pm and by the time I left, all the tables were occupied. Would recommend you visit before the dinner rush.“

“I had the best steak I've ever tasted here for my birthday dinner. Everything was excellent. We had prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, au gratin potatoes, asparagus, I had the sliced tenderloin and my husband had the bone-in tenderloin. It was all amazing.“

The mushroom omelette I had was phenomenal ( I added Swiss cheese and avocado to the original) and my mother had the gluten free s'mores version and loved it. The veggie skillet was decent but probably wouldn't order again. We also had crepes which were very sweet. The service was quick and efficient despite being totally packed. Service is friendly and patrons are everyday people, which makes this good for dine-in as well as carryout.Dine-in is recommended, though,because of the larger indoor area and the fact that the tortillas are just slightly crispy on the outer shell, which makes for a really good bite. That slight crisp gets soft during carryout.Last, the chorizo corn shell taco here is great with a ton of spicy salsa roja smothered on top. If you're a fan of sushi and Japanese style appetizers but looking for a Subway restaurant style of informal dining ...a quick bite to eat, without all the overhead in service and prices, then I suggest trying this place.My favorite is the deluxe salmon bowl with the black rice. The fish is very fresh and I like the crab and seaweed salad. This has a very savory without being overpowering a true umami kind of tasting food. No overkill on making it hot or spicy. The meals include complimentary self-serving of miso soup. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. In my opinion it's a great sushi bowl at Subway prices.“

“Pita Inn needs no introduction, this is an established staple of the neighborhood. Pita Inn is full of staples for lunch, and dinner. The lunch specials are perfect and a crowd can be expected. Pita Inn service is top notch and will get everyone through as quickly as possible.The menu also offers great entrees, sandwiches, sides and some sweet eats like baklava. “I have been in this restaurant for more than 4 times. I highly recommend it. There are a lot of parking. Once you come in; you are greeted with a warm greeting and and enthusiastic smule by the host or owner. The servers are very accommodating , friendly and helpful. They check on their customers for whatever they need until your meal is done. The busboys are hardworking and any requests will be granted right away. The food/dishes are cooked just the way you requests. Their steaks and eggs are up to par. The prices are decently priced. For what they serve you, good amounts of food. Well worth it. Freshness and presentations of foods are stupendous! Never did I have any complaints the way the place is ran. Very clean. Wide open. Eventhough i live far. I kept going back and i know when i leave, my tummy is full, content and some take home left overs. Check their menu. Check the big breakfast meal. You can't go wrong with their reasonable prices.
