“I have been in this restaurant for more than 4 times. I highly recommend it. There are a lot of parking. Once you come in; you are greeted with a warm greeting and and enthusiastic smule by the host or owner. The servers are very accommodating , friendly and helpful. They check on their customers for whatever they need until your meal is done. The busboys are hardworking and any requests will be granted right away. The food/dishes are cooked just the way you requests. Their steaks and eggs are up to par. The prices are decently priced. For what they serve you, good amounts of food. Well worth it. Freshness and presentations of foods are stupendous! Never did I have any complaints the way the place is ran. Very clean. Wide open. Eventhough i live far. I kept going back and i know when i leave, my tummy is full, content and some take home left overs. Check their menu. Check the big breakfast meal. You can't go wrong with their reasonable prices. We tried Chennai Central's Thursday Chaat & Dosa Buffet Launch, and it was an exceptional experience! The event drew a huge crowd, but the efficient service ensured that everyone had a great time. The ambiance of the dining room was also noteworthy, with nicely designed partitions that provided a sense of privacy, making it comfortable for guests to enjoy their meals without feeling crowded. The food spread was truly impressive, with a wide variety of dishes that were fresh, authentic, and flavorful, all served piping hot. The highlight of our meal was the freshly steamed idlis, which were soft and fluffy. Our server, Sai, politely informed us about the batch, and it was a treat to enjoy them straight from the steamer. This attention to detail reminded me of my family's restaurant, where my dad would famously say, "Idlis are never sitting around waiting for customers; instead, our customers patiently wait for fresh idlis steamed to order!" It's a reminder to appreciate the value of slow, carefully prepared meals, resonating deeply with my father's motto at Chowpatti Vegetarian Restaurant - "what we cook at home for the four of us, is now being cooked for all of us in this dining room." The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, adding to the overall warmth of the evening. The food was exceptional, with standout dishes like the Masala Dosa served with three delicious chutneys that burst with authentic, bold flavors. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the personal touch from Chef Divakar and Chef Ramesh, who made rounds through the dining area to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal. They even took the time to share tips on how to properly enjoy their famous layered Parottas with Korma gravy, the authentic way – by generously smothering the Korma onto the Parottas and letting the rich flavors soak in before digging in, a delightful touch! We discovered that this is a chef-owned and operated restaurant, and it's clear that their passion for authentic South Indian cuisine shines through in every dish they serve. “I had a wonderful breakfast at TNT’s Snack Shop in Arlington Heights. I ordered an egg omelette with toast and garlic bread, a side of mixed fresh fruit, and coffee. Everything was fresh, delicious, and nicely prepared.

The restaurant has a very welcoming neighborhood feel, and the service was friendly and attentive. What I especially appreciated was the combination of good food, nice service, and affordable prices.

“Oh my goodness. The best BBQ we have had in Illinois. We have traveled to Tennessee, Missouri, Chicago and all over the Chicago suburbs and this place takes the cake. (Peg leg in Nashville still is the over all best we’ve had) We happened upon Porkey’s after our Chicago plans fell through. Wow!!!!!!!!!! We had several plates of meat, a kids meal, sides, and dessert and our bill was less than $50. The staff were friendly, attentive and they offered great suggestions. I was so satisfied with our whole experience. From beginning to end a great flipping meal. They also had the bears pre season game on. Everything was so tasty. I will say this… and it may be fighting words, but their lumpia were better than stix and noodles. We had brisket sandwich, 1/2 lb of pulled pork, chicken fingers, a bao bun, brisket lumpia and bread pudding. On sundays they also have apple cider donuts so yeah we had those too! 5 stars from beginning to end.“

“Truly the best Asian food that I have had for years. Variety and flavor was exceptional. We ordered 3 dishes plus Crab Rangoon. The plum chicken was great. Chicken moist and tender. The rice noodle dish was was delicious and the noodles with sesame also memorable.

“Awesome little bakery! I wanted to try a black forest cake - which I can't say for sure I'd ever tasted before - before possibly attempting to make one for myself. After some Googling, scrutinizing reviews, and learning that this place is located only ~20 minutes away from me, I set my sights and was not disappointed. I ordered the smallest one, which is plenty big for only me and proved to be delicious! I hope to return in due time to try the Gateaux au Chocolat. Also picked up a slice of cheese cake for my mom, who said that it was delicious and had a lemon tang.

While I'm glad that I went on a Sunday, the parking lot isn't _that_ small. Yes, there is a sushi place next door, and it probably fills up during peak service hours. But there's even more parking a stone's throw away. I've been to dine-in restaurants on the North side with less parking, lol.“

“We went to Mago in Barrington last night for the first time and were blown away. They were very busy so we sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was terrific and the menu features things you won’t find at your standard Mexican restaurant like three choices of mole. Tableside guacamole is absolutely lovely. I have to say, though, what made our experience was watching the magnificent bartender. His efficiency, speed, and obvious dedication to what he was doing was just a marvel. He never stopped moving! The staff has a call button so if you need attention, hit the button. The have a small patio but perfect for nice nights. “Santouka Ramen inside Mitsuwa is genuinely the best ramen I’ve ever had. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful, the noodles are excellent, and everything comes together in a way that makes it hard to order ramen anywhere else without comparing it to this place.

What really sold me was that my girlfriend has actually been to Japan, and even she said Santouka was comparable to the ramen she had there. That says a lot.

It’s one of the main reasons I love coming to Mitsuwa in the first place. The quality is consistently excellent, the portions are satisfying, and every bowl feels like something you actually remember afterward.

The Udon noodles are always perfectly cooked. They offer fresh tempura flakes, green onion, ginger, sauces, and seasonings on the side as well. Highly recommend trying! The chicken skewers are consistently good. I personally enjoy the chicken thigh skewers. Also, the sausage skewers are pretty consistent in flavor.

I have tried their takoyaki multiple times. I feel it’s a hit-or-miss. Sometimes they are fresh, other times, they are a bit stale. But I still order them.

The same goes for their chicken skin skewers - they could also be a hit-or-miss.

Overall, whenever I visit Mitsuwa, I always order from Toritetsu. :)“

“Curry has good flavor. Yakisoba has good flavor, but mixing the two in the same dish was too much. The yakisoba also comes with thinly sliced pork mixed in so it's not vegetarian. The karage chicken had good crunch and was soft on the inside but seemed over priced for the quantity given. There's a good variety of side sauces that you can put in to go cups yourself at the counter. The wasabi soy sauce was the best. There's a long wait time.“
