“This is a gem. I wish I lived closer as I would eat here regularly. The menu is a bit meat and tree nut heavy which concerned me but the sole special was delicious and the Gelato was lovely though the portion was too large. The prices were very fair. I suggest you try this restaurant!“

“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.“

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.“

They seem to be happy working there which is reflected in the quality of the food and service. The food is always fresh and hot and the employees are always helpful and friendly“

“We visited for Sunday brunch around 11 a.m., and the restaurant was packed, so we had about a 45-minute wait before being seated. Despite the crowd, the staff kept things moving, and once we got our table, the service was friendly and attentive.

Our food arrived hot and fresh, and everything was made with quality ingredients. The omelets were flavorful, the veggie skillet was hearty and delicious, the pancakes were soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, and the waffle was crisp on the outside while remaining light and tasty. “Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe has got to hands down be the best food I have had in my 32 years of life. We just got home from a girls trip for my daughter's golden birthday in Chicago this past weekend and I'm ready to hit the road to go back. She ordered the kids Oreo s'mores pancakes of the kid menu. I got the 2 eggs meal which came with 2 eggs, hash browns, choice of meat (got sausage links) and either toast or pancakes. I chose toast. We then ordered her 2 dippy eggs, a side of biscuits and gravy, and got a side of bacon to share. The biscuits and gravy are hands down top tier the best recipe I have ever tasted (I ended up ordering 2 more sides to take home so I would have breakfast tomorrow 🤤). Even after stuffing ourselves with this delicious food none of our group felt miserable in any way. there was no belly discomfort whatsoever. We just felt full and nourished. I will be coming back as often as I can. The food is so hot, so fresh, so flavorful, and overall it was a wonderful experience. Everybody was so friendly , smiley, and just warm personalities. There is quite a wait on Sundays (not sure about other days) but I would wait 4 hours if they told me I had to. They do have an option where you can get on the waiting list online (we did not know that since this was out first time). Now let's talk about their preserves they make in house 🫠🫠 they make a triple berry compote with blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries. It was literal heaven. They sell jars as you are leaving for $11. Guys you have to try this place. I'm not usually someone who leaves reviews but it's so good I can't not leave one. However, I ordered the special cut up version of their ribeye steak, and while prepared perfectly, the quality of the cut did not meet my expectations. At least 30% of the portion was inedible gristle, making the $48 price point a poor value. I would not order this steak again.“

“Ten years ago began my obsession with Frank’s corn nuggets. In high school, every time I had a dollar to spend, I’d head to Frank’s for an order of corn nuggets. Any time anyone asks me what my favorite food is, for the past ten years it has been Frank’s corn nuggets. Today, for the first time ever, I ordered corn nuggets and they were sold out! I told the owner about my long-held love of these fried treats and how I now live in Wisconsin but often travel to Mundelein specifically to have them. He says he has been trying to get the product in but unfortunately couldn’t get his hands on them lately. I sighed, and ordered a corn dog (closest corn substitute on the menu), onion rings, and sweet potato fries. All were great! At the end of my meal the owner surprises me with a small order of corn nuggets he had searched his supply for after I told him my story. Just great people and great times at Frank’s for the Memories as always! Frank’s holds a space in my heart forever and always and while they don’t have the corn nuggets today I will continue to return for the care and welcoming feel they always provide.

“This is a taqueria within a small Mexican grocery store. The food is fabulous, the carne asada tacos are delicious but the barbacoa is also excellent, not to mention probably the best carnitas I've ever had outside of Chicago. The barbacoa and carnitas are also available by the pound which is an awesome option. The ambience is very basic, two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable.“
