“Our family has been coming to Fuji to celebrate special life events for 30+ years! We love that every visit is consistently delicious and that the quality has remained amazing.
Tonight, we came in just a half hour before close because it was the only day/time we could meet as a family. The owner graciously invited us in and told us to take our time and enjoy ourselves. Everyone made us feel welcome and it was a tasty celebration. Thank you to all!“

“Unassuming exterior will make you think it’s not a top tier sushi spot but oh you would be wrong! I order here every time I’m in Alsip and it is consistently fresh and delicious! It’s the only place I’ve found that has low carb options that are not just sashimi too. My go to are the Yellowtail Jalapeño appetizer and the Rainbow Naruto roll with a seaweed salad. Love this place!“

“We recently visited for my bday on 5/31. The decor is beautiful and the service was stellar! Everyone was attentive and friendly. Our hibachi chef was amazing. He was extremely entertaining and super accommodating. He made our hibachi dinner experience the best we have ever had. The food was perfect and great portion sizes. My son even ordered Spider rolls and said they were amazing! My two teens and 1yr old enjoyed it immensely! Thank you all for the great celebration. We will be back for sure!!! Highly recommend to all!!“

“On Thursday, 5/30, my wife and I had dinner at the restaurant. Our favorite server, Rita, was assisting us. During our meal, we witnessed a front desk employee yelling at Rita and slamming his hands on the table, causing a significant disturbance that was noticeable to many patrons. Despite this unprofessional behavior, Rita maintained her composure and continued to provide exceptional service. Her professionalism and dedication to her customers were commendable. We will definitely return, thanks to Rita's outstanding service.“

“I would come back if I'm in the terminal again. My cooked salmon in the poke bowl to-go was still moist and had decent flavor. Staff maybe not the friendliest but they were effective and served bowls fast when I came by at noon. $17 salmom poke bowl with white rice and 6 vegetables. I also like how Japanese food tends to be a healthy option.“

“I had the deep fried dragon roll, my husband has the Kung Pao chicken, and we also ordered the chicken and broccoli for my son.
He said this is the best Kung Pao chicken he's ever had and that's usually all he ever orders when it's offered. The wasabi for my roll is some of the best and most evenly flavored and has a kick! This is our new favorite place to go. Prices are fair and service is excellent and complimented by a beautiful environment.
Just one question, what does the table say? We had fun trying to figure out what it said. I'll have to go back to confirm! ?
Parking: Plenty of handicapped parking.
Kid-friendliness: It's not a play place but the snap peas keep the kids entertained!“

“I BEEN TO THIS PLACE A FEW TIMES AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I ALWAYS BUY THE CHICKEN TERIYAKI THE CHICKEN IS TENDER PLENTY OF RICE AND THE SAUCE IS DELICIOUS. YOU CAN ALWAYS REQUEST EXTRA SAUCE ONCE IT IS COOKED. THE SAUCE IS WHAT MAKES THIS MEAL. SOME OF THE CASHIERS ARE MORE FRIENDLIER THAN OTHERS. BUT I JUST ENJOY COMING TO THIS FAST FOOD JOINT IT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE USUAL BURGERS AND CHICKEN PLACES.

“I have been coming here for years and Ruma Izakaya remains my favorite Japanese spot in the area. From the sushi to the entree’s, sides, incredible miso soup, and smoothies, Runa Izakaya wins my heart and my stomach over every time! “Food is fresh and excellent. I find it to be one of the best in the area. Non greasy, good flavor, service is ok, but when they attend to you, you have their undivided attention. I have been there a few times, and it does not vary. It is also very clean, with large tables and booths.“
