“I had the spinach and mushroom crepe and it was not good. I blame myself for not telling the waiters anything to possibly save me $15, my plate was still full when we asked for the check! The potato pancakes were very oily for me and the spinach tasted undercooked, the mushrooms didn’t help the texture as well. I was really hungry so I had some fries and pickles, 10/10 would come back for some fries and ketchup. Really should’ve sent my food back but I was shy lol! Anyways, great place for breakfast!!“

“I have been in this restaurant for more than 4 times. I highly recommend it. There are a lot of parking. Once you come in; you are greeted with a warm greeting and and enthusiastic smule by the host or owner. The servers are very accommodating , friendly and helpful. They check on their customers for whatever they need until your meal is done. The busboys are hardworking and any requests will be granted right away. The food/dishes are cooked just the way you requests. Their steaks and eggs are up to par. The prices are decently priced. For what they serve you, good amounts of food. Well worth it. Freshness and presentations of foods are stupendous! Never did I have any complaints the way the place is ran. Very clean. Wide open. Eventhough i live far. I kept going back and i know when i leave, my tummy is full, content and some take home left overs. Check their menu. Check the big breakfast meal. You can't go wrong with their reasonable prices. This place deserves to be a five-star restaurant. I remember coming here as a kid with my mom, and now that I’m older, I had the chance to bring my wife for the first time. We had a wonderful time! Even the owner’s son works here, which adds to the friendly, family-oriented vibe we loved. A big thank you to Daniel for the excellent service! “I ordered through Uber Eats (Didn't let me review). It didn't look that good arriving because the food was slid to one side. But the food was perfectly seasoned and delicious with generous portions. First time trying their food. I ordered the Honey Bacon Brussels Hash, it was delicious. Savory, a touch of spice just right. Salted Caramel Holey Donuts were good. Looking forward to trying more.“

“We stumbled upon Flying Saucer while visiting Chicago and are glad we did. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. “Met some friends for a weekday breakfast. I've been going to this location for many years, when it was Eggshell, but this was my first time visiting under the new Scrambled ownership. The atmosphere is lovely, big, comfortable, and easy to get a table. The service was great...fast, attentive.

My only complaint is that my Cali Bacon Avocado Scrambler was way overcooked. The bacon was painfully hard and crunchy, the eggs were dry and so mixed with other things that it was like tiny bits vs normal scrambled egg chunks. I could barely taste them over the grilled onions. It was topped with a tiny bit of avocado slices...like one quarter of a mini avocado, and the cheese was mixed in sporadically.

The prices have gone up a lot from some of the menus posted...see the black background one that lists this item at $15.50. It came with a choice of potatoes or fruit, and toast or pancakes. I played it healthy with fruit and toast, both of which were good. Overall...nice place, would not reorder this Chef's Choice item again, and the prices seemed high for the quality of the food.“

“Went there in the afternoon for late breakfast. Food was excellent ...service was crap..Waittress brought out my friend's food and didn't bring out all of my food till I was halfway through my meal. When I told a waitress she said that the kitchen was behind on putting orders out but I was there a 1/2 hour before they close? Food was excellent and a large amount and plan on taking leftovers home.

“I went here for the first time last weekend and it was great! It was busy, but we wanted a booth so we waited a couple minutes and one opened up. The interior is very cute and retro with lots of fun decor on the walls. I ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were super thick and yummy, and the eggs were some of the best over medium I’ve ever had, no exaggeration. My brother got the patty melt with fries and the free cup of soup- what a steal! The server was friendly and prompt. My only slightly negative is that it was a little warm inside for my preference, but it was a super hot day when I visited. If I’m in the area, I will be back!“

Service: the cashier we had was awesome and helped with recommendations for someone who has never been to Chicago or had Chicago food.

“I regularly order takeout from here and I have dined in multiple times as well. Extremely friendly service, GREAT food with huge portions. It’s rare to find someplace that makes everything perfect and the same every time. You can tell everybody that is there from the cooks to servers care and that is refreshing. Steak Chilaquiles and the biscuits and gravy are amazing and huge portions. I will keep coming back as a loyal customer:)“
