“I was having a conversation with a worker and noticed her using lots of organic ingredients and real Himalayan salt... this sparked my curiosity and I started paying attention to the food she was making ... I decided to buy lunch here after initially just grabbing my first ever coffee at this coffee shop .... to my surprise that dragon berry fruit bowl was absolutely amazing. I have never been to a place that uses clean ingredients like this. This was a great experience. 5 stars!”

“Rhythm Kitchen has always been a staple in downtown Peoria for a couple of reasons…excellent food and awesome atmosphere. It’s cool that they just keep getting better and better. A group of us went there last night for dinner and it was absolutely outstanding! Service is always so friendly and you simply cannot replicate the Rhythm Kitchen vibe anywhere. The gumbo ya ya is an absolute must have, jerk chicken is crazy good and the meatloaf is classically delish. Even their grilled cheese is fantastic! And if you even think about leaving before dessert, you’re out of your mind. We were trying to be polite and share among the group, but there was a “survival of the fittest” mentality bubbling up at the table and let’s just say we were lucky to leave as friends. Few places leave you with the need to go back the very next day, but I gotta say, I need to go back…like now.”

“The wife and I stopped here for Sunday Date Day for the first time. Great experience and great food! I eat a 90% meat diet and they were more than happy to switch it up, add another meat option (for upcharge of course) and keep the pita/rice and hummus. :) The food was great!.. I got the 3 Shish combination plate (1 of each) and it was very flavorful and cooked well. Nice crisp on the lamb shish and the other meats were spiced different enough to tell them apart. The seasoning on the chicken reminded me of growing up and having souvlaki at Festival in Grand Rapids, MI. Wife had the lamb shank special and really enjoyed it. I tried a bite of the shank and it was amazing. VERY tender...a perfectly braised shank! Sauces were good. Green had a little heat and was very jalapeno forward, the red had more of a Buffalo Wing vibe (maybe a mix of harissa?) and the tzatziki was very fresh... looser than I am used to but it was nice. :) Although I didn't have the pitas like the wife did, they are Illinois made in Skokie at Libanais, always a plus. Being 2 miles from home, we are sure to swing in again. Heck, it might be a common change from our normal Jimmy Johns lunch. :)”

“Omgersh....that was the best chicken burrito I have ever had! Just be careful of the juice dripping down! You'll want to eat that too. Eat it over the delicious chips and salsa! The salsa has a kick, but it's a kick that adds to the flavor! Definitely recommend. Worth the trip downtown.”

I came in for breakfast and sat near the counter, where I could see all the beautiful/tasty items coming out fresh from the kitchen, and I was truly amazed at all the delicious looking food. Nice crowd in here and many others were seated at tables outside. Place was packed! I loved my Zucchini Omelet with fresh orange juice. Staff were professional and very kind to me. Like many restaurants, there are many things on the menu that are not outstanding, but the fried rice is very good. It's a little dingy, seemingly unclean, but let's be honest, these are the types of places that have the most flavorful food. With two brothers there to run the business every day with a rich history and a smile, this is a true hole-in-the-wall hidden gem.”

“I've had one bad experience here with one older Mexican woman at the end window handing out the food. The young guy that took my order put in my husband's frappe as a coffee by accident and when I brought it to the lady's attention she said sorry, then went on with her business as if I had to keep the mistake. I got her attention and told her that it was for my husband and he wouldn't accept anything else besides what he wanted! She tried to blow me off again, so I sternly told her that I needed the right drink! That if it has been for me I wouldn't care really but it was for my husband to take to work and then I sat there until she went and got a manager that was a little rude herself and I let her know if there was a difference I'd pay it just fix it please and she told me I had to give back the mistake coffee as if I was trying to get over, which I gladly gave her and I finally got what I came for. Other than that I have enjoyed the rest of my drive thru runs. Everyone since has been very pleasant and professional, mistakes have been resolved promptly, food has been hot and properly made and I haven't had any missing items or sauces thus far, and when asked to pull forward and they will bring something out to me that's being made, the wait time was really no time at all! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK PLEASE!”

It was an actual channel catfish, cooked with the most perfect crust that was not at all grease on it, the salad had the freshest salad greens, slices if cucumber, and tomatoes, with delicious croutons. The cole slaw is made there, is creamy, and I fell in love with all of it. The owner is a perfectionist and the food is too quality! I have not found anyone else in Peoria that serves this quality of food. I will be there at least once a week! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!”

I got the pulled chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and let’s not forget the sweet potatoes. The chicken was moist. The collard greens were seasoned the mac & cheese was Fresh warm and cheesy and oh yeah let’s not forget the sweet potatoes brought me back to how my grandma used to make them on Sunday afternoon after church so I would recommend this restaurant five stars.”

“People may get upset at this location for long wait times, but they've been short-staffed for a long time.

Despite the problems outside their control, the food has always been excellent and I have to give shout outs to Tim and the rest of the crew. I eat there practically every day for a quality meal for a low price. $8 for a big ol' double cheeseburger is well worth it. Definitely stop by but try to find a time that isn't peak rush.”
