“I was having a conversation with a worker and noticed her using lots of organic ingredients and real Himalayan salt... this sparked my curiosity and I started paying attention to the food she was making ... I decided to buy lunch here after initially just grabbing my first ever coffee at this coffee shop .... to my surprise that dragon berry fruit bowl was absolutely amazing. I have never been to a place that uses clean ingredients like this. This was a great experience. 5 stars!”

“Rhythm Kitchen has always been a staple in downtown Peoria for a couple of reasons…excellent food and awesome atmosphere. It’s cool that they just keep getting better and better. A group of us went there last night for dinner and it was absolutely outstanding! Service is always so friendly and you simply cannot replicate the Rhythm Kitchen vibe anywhere. The gumbo ya ya is an absolute must have, jerk chicken is crazy good and the meatloaf is classically delish. Even their grilled cheese is fantastic! And if you even think about leaving before dessert, you’re out of your mind. We were trying to be polite and share among the group, but there was a “survival of the fittest” mentality bubbling up at the table and let’s just say we were lucky to leave as friends. Few places leave you with the need to go back the very next day, but I gotta say, I need to go back…like now.”

The atmosphere is always friendly and old school customer service, the menu and food is awesome and they are over the top supportive of our Vets, active military and first responders. Travis, Melissa and Cameron take care of everyone that walks in the door. They are always “on mission” and it shows.”

The only con is the price of a Caesar salad, on our last visit my wife and I each got a Caesar salad to start our meal and the two salads alone was $25.00, everything else was inline with the service and atmosphere which is the best.”

The food was hot and out fast, but most importantly to me- the worker Kenneth Cook (I asked for his name)- immediately came over and helped me and did it with a smile on his face. “The wife and I stopped here for Sunday Date Day for the first time. Great experience and great food! I eat a 90% meat diet and they were more than happy to switch it up, add another meat option (for upcharge of course) and keep the pita/rice and hummus. :) The food was great!.. I got the 3 Shish combination plate (1 of each) and it was very flavorful and cooked well. Nice crisp on the lamb shish and the other meats were spiced different enough to tell them apart. The seasoning on the chicken reminded me of growing up and having souvlaki at Festival in Grand Rapids, MI. Wife had the lamb shank special and really enjoyed it. I tried a bite of the shank and it was amazing. VERY tender...a perfectly braised shank! Sauces were good. Green had a little heat and was very jalapeno forward, the red had more of a Buffalo Wing vibe (maybe a mix of harissa?) and the tzatziki was very fresh... looser than I am used to but it was nice. :) Although I didn't have the pitas like the wife did, they are Illinois made in Skokie at Libanais, always a plus. Being 2 miles from home, we are sure to swing in again. Heck, it might be a common change from our normal Jimmy Johns lunch. :)”

“I work downtown and go here at least once a week. I order the same thing when I go, 16oz Fr Vanilla Latte with half and half. Depending who was working the counter I would get charged differently each time. $5.66 one day or $6.77 the next. I asked one day and was told I was being charged for the half and half. Ok fine, BUT today I go there and order the same drink and they wanted to charge me $7.00 for a 16oz??? Starbucks and Dunkin charge $4.49 for the same drink and size. I go to CXT to support local. But today was probably my last day. The gentleman today fixed me up and I was charged $5.00. I think you Managers better circle back because no one will pay $7.00 for a 16oz iced latte.”

“As a person that grew up on this type of food. this is the most authentic and most savory food in the area. the rice is very good and when u get the mixed grill, the kebabs melt in ur mouth delicious. the falafel is the most on point in the area of peoria. even the sald is soooo good!!!!! the kebbah is seriously the best I've ever had. the shawarma is so good it just makes u wanna come back for more. The collard greens were seasoned the mac & cheese was Fresh warm and cheesy and oh yeah let’s not forget the sweet potatoes brought me back to how my grandma used to make them on Sunday afternoon after church so I would recommend this restaurant five stars.”

It was an actual channel catfish, cooked with the most perfect crust that was not at all grease on it, the salad had the freshest salad greens, slices if cucumber, and tomatoes, with delicious croutons. The cole slaw is made there, is creamy, and I fell in love with all of it. The owner is a perfectionist and the food is too quality! I have not found anyone else in Peoria that serves this quality of food. I will be there at least once a week! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!”

“My husband and I had these donuts as our “cake”for our wedding almost a year ago. Since our one year anniversary is tomorrow, we celebrated this morning with donuts and was reminded why we choose this place. They’re soft, the frosting is perfect and they’re delicious. No donut compares to these!

Only advice I can give is to get there early. We got there just after 9 on a Saturday and they appeared like they were already running a bit low!
