“Broken Oar is always a great time, especially on a summer Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is lively, the crowd is fun, and the staff is consistently friendly and attentive.
We came by boat just to grab a few drinks and appetizers. Everything was good, but the churro fries were the standout of the day—absolutely worth ordering and highly recommended.
My only complaint is the docking situation. Getting from the docks to the restaurant requires walking through muddy, sandy terrain, which isn't ideal. More importantly, the docks sit very high above the water, and the exposed metal underneath ended up scratching our boat. If you have a typical recreational boat, I'd honestly think twice about arriving by water, as there's a real risk of cosmetic damage.
Despite that, the food, drinks, service, and overall atmosphere keep us coming back. We'll definitely be back—just probably by car next time.“

“I had a Birthday party for my husband here. There were at the least 20 people. I can't tell you how wonderful Bryce our waiter/bartender was awesome! To be slammed with orders, all at once.....he was outstanding!“
“I've had the privilege of stopping by the Squaw Bar on several occasions and have enjoyed every visit. What is refreshing about this establishment is that it's cozy and not over refined like other establishments. This means that one can get to know just who they are enjoying the company of. The Squaw Bar even has the latest technology that blends in well with a good old fashion campfire by the sands. I'm speaking of .SVG TV... no not your regular run of the mill squabbles from all over the globe but a personalized cast of stars that light up the evening sky. Take for example the ale tale of Helen Liz Hunt. It's an October ghost story told at this time in the light of the Hunters Moon. The legend says that Helen walks the .3 mile route from Hunt Ave on a westwards journey. She crosses Helendale Road and arrives at the Squaw Bar in search of dark rye and molasses bread ðŸž. Helen pays for her meal in Indian Rupee legal tender and enjoys the Raisins And Honey as the Sultan as played by myself offers her a 🔠hamburger bear hug.“

“Had an amazing birthday party in the upstairs room. We had the taco buffet and it was delicious! Service was excellent and everything looked beautiful. They let us come in early to decorate and we were able to play our own music. I would recommend highly for a special occasion!“

“I hired The Hungry Mule in Lake Zurich to cater a luncheon for about 65 people. The owner and staff were easy to work with. Very accommodating. “Great place for a big group. My son’s soccer team had a team meal here. The server did a great job and was very attentive. The food was delicious, but my portion was smaller than I expected, so instead of sharing with my wife, we should have ordered two. Others in our group very much enjoyed their food. Great beer list and sports bar type atmosphere.“

“Hi. I would like to say thank you to Jacki at the Crystal lake location. She was so kind and showed empathy when I was there on Thursday 8/1/2024. It’s been a difficult week and my mom had passed away that morning. That was my first meal in about a week. She was so kind to pay for our meals. Thank you so much. I would like for that owner to know this and we will be returning back soon! 10/23/2024- we had Maya as our server today. She is also another wonderful asset to your team! “Benjamin Parada and I ate dinner at Wings Etc. tonight! We pulled up to the building and called the number listed clearly on the signs, with an employee's assistance our "take out" order was placed! Ben and I talked in the car just as we would have when we were inside the restaurant. However, sitting in the car and wearing a mask felt so much safer than being in the restaurant! Our food was out to our car very quickly. Wonderful delicious and amazing are words to describe the good wings! Date nights look so different with Covid but this was a super safe and fun date night!“
