If they have special events, it’s always nicely decorated and you control your own music! Try the shotski for 4 drinkers!! If it’s too low key for your party, ask the bartender to spice it up…pump up the volume! You will have a great time!! Go check them out!!! They are accommodating to their customers!“

“Went here for the first time. I had the 1/2 lb Classic burger, medium rare, with Pepper Jack cheese and fries. My friend had the Al Pastor tacos. The burger was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fries were wonderful. I normally can't eat a whole 1/2 lb burger. I couldn't stop eating this one. My friends Al Pastor tacos, on a flour tortilla, had a generous amount of meat, more than anywhere else we have been and it tastes fantastic, with just a hint of heat. Our Margaritas, made with Metzcal were delicious.“

“We went to the new location on Belmont this last weekend & are so thrilled with our experience. From the service to the drinks and the food, everything was delicious. I ordered the steak sandwich & thought it was fantastic (I like mine cheesy & saucy). My husband ordered the "Da Bears" burger & ate the whole thing. We started with the cheese curds that the table cleared within minutes. Our server was wonderful as well, she was attentive & we never had an empty glass. If you like trying all kinds of martini's, we really enjoyed the "pickletini". Cannot wait to go again & enjoy their patio & try a bloody mary :)“

“Had a great time visiting on 1.13.25 with my work team, loved the food 🍔 and beverages 🍺 and the atmosphere! Did NOT love that this was the ONLY place I had used a new business debit card and it got hacked. ☹️“

“We went at Christmas time. They decorate the restaurant from the ceiling to the floor in lights. You can't help but get in the festive mood. We did make reservations and we came earlier and they still sat us. The staff was very friendly. I started with a cocktail called the Ramblers Rest. It was tasty. I could really taste the pomegranate notes. For appetizers we got the poutine. It is okay. For dinner I got the chef's wedge salad it was delicious. The homemade ranch dressing and the bacon bits totally made the salad. My hubby got their shepherd's pie. He said it was great. They have Coke products. They have a private area, and plenty of seating options. They have two fire places. I definitely want to go back during the summer. It looks like they have a large patio. Oh and they have a no stroller rule in the restaurant.

Personally, I do not think there is a food establishment that the servers and bartenders seem like great friends, both with each other and with patrons. The atmosphere is heartwarming!The whole crew- Joe, Sarah, Michelle , Mario, etc, never cease to really care about those they serve. Sarah is so efficient, prompt, and gets every detail down to a science. She is the epitome of a great server and her passion for making everyone feel special does not go unnoticed. “They have the best cheeseburger in Chicago. I went there in 2012, and 2013 on Kedzie, and omg it’s the best. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“Love this place - cozy neighborhood sports bar atmosphere with truly excellent food, a great rotating beer menu, and very reasonable prices. There are often games or music on, but never so loud that you can't have a conversation. All of the food we've tried has been delicious! Never once had a bad dish or experience! We stopped in on a whim for lunch and quickly became regulars after tasting the burgers, rustic potato salad, and brussel sprouts. There are different daily food specials and a surprising list of high-end options (e.g. Wagyu beef burgers, lamb dip, Mediterranean mushroom sandwich) for such a casual setting. The staff is great, the chef is on point, the beers are frosty, and the meatloaf dinner on Thursday is worth a special visit. If you're looking for a relaxed place to have a great meal, a cold drink, and a conversation, I can't recommend the Old School Tavern enough.
