“We started with the salad and homemade bread. There is no place around where I have had such flavorful bread! The salad had vinegar and olive oil, a combination that was perfectly savory with the bright crisp lettuce. For my entree I had stuffed shells and my husband had made to order Stromboli. We enjoyed every bite with a portion enough for lunch tomorrow. The owners are absolutely delightful! The drive to Riverton is well worth it!“

“The crew here is amazing. The young men are always friendly and quick to say hello. My son and I come almost every week and it does not disappoint. Our order is always correct and yummy.

“A very cozy place with an ordering counter and a sit-down dining room if you're sticking around. Despite the counter service, the staff was lovely, welcoming, and attentive. They brought fresh bread to the table, unfortunately with a small to-go cup with a small drizzle of olive oil and another of pre-grated parm. A slightly more generous cup of olive oil would have been nice. The carbonara pasta would have been good off the bat if they had properly seasoned it, but some of the extra parm and a generous dose of black pepper got it there in the end. The pizza was the star of the night. Chewy dough with really good gluten development, very nice sauce that was balanced and a nice contrast to the cheese, and quality toppings that weren't too much or too little. Was very tempted by the cannoli in the case, but I will leave it to others to try as I was stuffed. Could be a great place but needs to tighten it up a bit. Would try again though if just for pizza and to try that cannoli.“

“I've ate at several pizza buffets around the USA. I would rate this one second to the original Pizza Inn located in Brazil indiana but since that one closed in 2007 I have to
say this is by far the best pizza buffet in the United States of America. And to top it of their fried chicken is absolutely amazing as well!!! If your in Springfield illinois and want a great buffet experience stop here you definitely will not be disappointed.“

“Had never experienced an "Express Little Caesars" before. Was quite surprised by the freshness & the food was actually hot. You just walk up, grab whatever items you'd like out of the warmer cabinets & checkout at the truck stop cashier. We got some fountain drinks & sat inside Taco John's to eat. Was a tasty, fast, convenient & inexpensive meal for myself & 2 teens. Pepperoni pizza, crazy bread with sauce & 3 32oz fountain drinks for under $17 ?Will definitely be back if/when in the area.“

“Update:I DONT NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! high turnover on staff. every month there are new bartenders. Even when they over-serve an aggressive customer who then assaults you, they will blame you. They have cameras but will believe gossip instead. Numerous people have been banned for being a victim of assault. Bartenders have been fired for being friends of the victim. Bartenders have been fired for calling in because they had to take their dog into the emergency animal hospital. The day after I was assaulted and my glasses broke, I was lectured and blamed by the OWNER for causing another OVERSERVED CUSTOMER to assault me. If you come don’t talk and leave before people are overserved! Historic General store from 1870.In 1940, it transitioned into the great American rural tavern it is today. It’s s what Texas Roadhouse was before they sold out. No better authentic Tavern food around. Many bars, taverns, roadhouses, pubs, come and go, but there is a reason BUCKHART TAVERN had lasted 154 years. Great Beer, Great Food, Great Service, and Great People!“

“I went there on the day of the grand reopening on July 25th 2024! I am so overjoyed they’re keeping the animatronics! Might I mention that they were in great shape! “By the atmosphere I didn't expect for the food to be much of anything, Very surprised by the food. Lots of flavor. You have to go up and order your food at the counter then a server brings it to you, then you clean up after yourself. Reminded me of a fast food restaurant for yuppy people. Not very much seating available. The foundry kitchen is the kitchen inside of the bar called a Anvil and Forged brewery. The outdoor patio was not open because it was raining.“

“We always get delivery. Called yesterday. Approx one hour later a gentleman (assume manager) called. Apologizes for the wait. Asked if we still wanted order. I said yes and he said he'd get it to us asap and give us half off the cost. Delivery man also apologized profusely. Both gentlemen were great to deal with. Will continue to order from them. Also must say the new dips for the garlic bread twists are awesome!!!“
