American Restaurants near Roodhouse

“My husband and I live in Granite City and yesterday we made the trip to Manchester, IL (near Roodhouse) to visit my husband's dad's grave. On the way home we stopped here. It was obvious from the second we walked in that it was family-owned type of place. Very welcoming and friendly environment. Our waitress was the owner's daughter, and she couldn't have been sweeter. We split a double cheeseburger, fish and fries. Very good food and service! We definitely plan to go back, and we would absolutely recommend this place to others. :-)“

“Very cool little ice cream shop. I have been passing through Murrayville a few times a month, and always make it a point to schedule my route so I am passing through when they are open. Every now and then the line can be longer than you would like, but once you taste food you will forget all about the wait you may experience every now and then. There aren’t many little ice cream shops left like this one. A hidden jewel in Morgan county, and worth a trip to Murrayville for sure!!!“
