“Definitely worth the few extra minutes driving up here from Round Lake. I showed up on Thursday to find out they’ve got an all you can eat taco special 👀 I gotta roll myself out to my car after this. Don’t let the previous rough construction out front fool you, this place is gold. I had the steak and chorizo tacos that were superb. Mango margarita slapped 👏🏻“

The cooking here has seriously degraded in quality since 2022. Talk about flavorless! It wasn't that way just a little bit ago.
Service is still great but tipping 25% is loopy.
The place is clean and, other than for the poor cooking, well operated. Parking is still rough on weekends.“

“First time at Kuma's Sushi Bowl yesterday...1) Wife went there for lunch. 2) I stole some of the wife's bowl. 3) We both went back to grab two bowls for dinner, partly to pay her back for her lunch. And, I'd like to add that it's not very close from us. Great, fresh and delicious sushi bowls. Worth upsetting your significant other for!“

“My fiancé and I went for breakfast at the Gurnee location yesterday. Both mens and womens bathrooms were out of order. No additional bathrooms for the employees!!! How can a restaurant be able to be open without facilities for patrons let alone the employees working an 8 hour shift!?!? Our waitress pleaded for me to call OCHEA!! She also said it is not the first time!!“

“On a very hot and busy evening, we took the only seats available, outside- the outdoor seating happens to be a beautiful sun room with a nice view. We came in mid dinner rush on a Friday evening and this place was PACKED, so naturally it was a little busy, and the kitchen had a nightmare on their hands to work through. That being said, the food came out a little slow, and without any sort of prompting, or anything, one of the owners (a VERY nice lady) came out and apologized for the wait, then comped our appetizer for coming out after the entrees, and to top it off she threw in a free dessert for the "trouble" which as far as we were concerned wasn't any trouble at all. The product itself was well worth the wait. I personally NEVER finish my entrees at restaurants, and I absolutely destroyed the Caribbean Burger I ordered. SO worth the wait. Portions are great, food quality was awesome, the entire staff was friendly, despite it being so busy and so hot, the whole experience was awesome from walking in, to closing out. 20/10, would absolutely come here again and would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good Midwestern meal with a great atmosphere.“

“We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. Prices were very reasonable and our service was exceptional. Excellent dining experience all around. Highly recommend.“

“I have been going to Hayashi for years. Whenever, I have a craving for Japanese strip steaks, sushi, or Udon that is my go-to place. Excellent Food, Excellent Service, and Excellent Ambiance. I would highly recommend this Japanese steak house. They go out of their way to serve their customers. In my case, I love to have their kimchi and they bring it without even me mentioning about it. 5 Stars.

“We have been going here for a while. The other breakfast places around here are nothing compared to whistle stop. The food is always fresh, hot, friendly professional staff and every guest is treated the same which makes us feel comfortable and wecome. I have not had one bad dish everything is great. Their fries are really good too. Keep up the good work. My kids love you guys!

“This is the BEST sushi place I have been to. My wife and I have been coming regularly for the past year and have never had a bad experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, everyone greets you when you walk in and walk out. It’s a real special place.
The food is amazing too!!! Out of all the sushi places we have visited, this is number one and has become our go to place.
Do yourself a favor and order the miso soup! It’s the best!!“

“Las Carnitas Están Buenas Cuando Están Frescas, Recomiendo comer las carnitas con unas tortillas de milagro y la salsa verde de la azteca, lo mejor de lo mejor su cebolla y cilantro con un limonzitz, FIRE! 🔥 En mi humilde opinión, no me gustaron las tortillas echas a mano y tampoco me gusto las salsas… siento que si puede mejorar la comida no eh podido probar todo mas que las carnitas, y la carne asada, igual no me gusto tanto la carne asada pero eso es solo mi opinión. Jose, nos dona una charola de carnitas para darles de comer a nuestros mayores y ellos la disfrutan. Por partes si recomiendo este lugar por el corazón que tiene y las carnitas que hacen. Pero, si puede mejorar. Bendiciones 🙌“
