Later at the window, I just asked her to dip it in chocolate and took the dipped chocholate cone just because I don't want them to throw the chocolate cone.

“very cute shop. very delicious ice cream. we were excited that they had lactose free options always available. the old fashioned lollipops & bottled soda choices were fun, too. we like Fitz soda & it's sold here. we got ice cream in waffle cones & bowls. they were all good. we will definitely be back. the prices & flavors of ice cream were very fair.“

“We absolutely love this place. Stop here on our way to Florida. The food was so delicious. My husband got a Chilli cheese dog and I got a cheese burger and a Corn dog. It was just like we remembered it. The inside looks like it was from the 80s inside and out. It really brought a lot of memories for us. Also they play a lot of 8os music. “I was there after what I assume is the busy time, so I had the dining room to myself. There was a steady stream of folks in the drive thru though. The "Deluxe Single Basket" was more than enough to fill me up. I had to buy a take-home pint, too full for dessert. The staff were friendly and at least one was always cleaning something.“

“Matcha En in Champaign is a small but charming outlet with a neat, clean, and inviting layout. We visited on a quiet afternoon, and with only a handful of patrons around, it offered a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a leisurely treat.

The menu is quite extensive, featuring everything from boba teas and fresh fruit teas to smoothies, hot drinks, floats, cakes, and puddings. We opted for the Oreo cake, which was served promptly and made for a pleasant accompaniment to our visit.

This place came highly recommended by my daughter, who considers it one of her favourites, and I can certainly see the appeal. While it didn't completely wow me, it was nevertheless an enjoyable experience and one that my family thoroughly appreciated. Sometimes personal preferences play a significant role in how we perceive a place, and that may well be the case here.

Had I been staying longer in Champaign, I would have loved to explore more of the menu. Still, I'm glad I stopped by and experienced something a little different. Discovering unique food and beverage concepts that aren't commonly available is always a highlight of my travels, and Matcha En certainly delivered on that front.“
