“I try to never give 5 stars because someone once told me that if you were to give top ratings to everyone and everything then noone would ever try to improve. And in my humble opinion, you should always strive and there's always room for improvement! They nailed the atmosphere tho! Not the run of the mill antique overload restaurant but very nicely blending industrial modern decor keeping it simple but classy. Very Midwest!“

“Grew up eating porkies. Glad to see their food and prices still beat others. Home cooked food and great prices. 3 dinners cost me $23. Anywhere else I go the least I pay for 3 dinners is $40. Do not sleep on porkies! Breakfast and dinner, both are good and never disappoint.“

“I love Culver's! Cheese curds, butterburgers, the cheese fries! Never had an issue with anything but the cheese sauce. How much do you pay for cheese sauce and I got half a containers full? Second time. I want the cup full, not half for that price. Otherwise, good food....You buy cheese sauce, check it before you take off....“

“Stopped in for lunch and the bar had such a wonderful atmosphere. Great food, I recommend the mozz bricks with bacon. They’re so addicting. The regulars are friendly. Also enjoyed playing on the slots while waiting for food. I definitely recommend if you’re in Silvis , Illinois to stop by here asap!!!“

“My husband and I live little over an hour away. We enjoy coming to the quad cities often. We by chance decided to try out Monarch Kitchen + Bar based off of their rating. All I can say is I am so impressed. Impressed with the care and quality of food. The wait staff are amazing. I am a person who doesn’t use seed oils at home. To know I can go out and eat somewhere and know the ingredients are fresh and good for you means everything. We stayed two days and ate there for lunch and came back the next day for dinner. We loved the lo mein and the garlic aioli fries, but honestly everything we tried was amazing. It is now our new favorite restaurant in the quad cities. We will definitely be back and will tell our friends. Thank you for making our trip even more special!“

“I love this restaurant so much. I love the rotating menu with new seasonal dishes and fan favorites. I love the location in a historic home. I love the owner and staff and how hard they work to serve good food in a welcoming atmosphere. Some of my favorite dishes include the pickle soup, garlic salad, salmon sandwich, meatloaf, lobster bisque, Reuben sandwich, orange crepes, and (right now) the crawfish Étouffée. I love the local beer and wine selection as well as Mandy’s bloody marys. This is such a special restaurant and I’m so glad it is a part of our community.“

“Last night we went to Chevin's Kitchen and Catering located inside Kavanaugh’s Hilltop Bar and Grill in Rock Island. This is the second time we have stopped in recently for the daily special. We are so glad we did. From the prompt greeting by the servers and bar staff to the made to order burger sliders with fresh cut fries everything was AMAZING! Our servers were on top of it and so friendly. The food was GREAT! If you haven’t checked this place out yet or if you have forgotten about one of the oldest bars in the neighborhood don’t snooze on this! Great food and great service! “We chose Beef + Bourbon for our anniversary dinner yesterday. We made reservations ahead of time, and made a note with the reservation that it was our anniversary dinner. I'll get my disappointment over with first and move on to all of good. I wasn't happy with where we were seated. For whatever reason, we were stuck in the bar area. Our view to the left was the parking lot. The view to the right was the bar, which came with its own set of noise. And since we were on a main pathway, it was hard to have any conversation with the traffic and noise passing by every few minutes. I think I was expecting to sit in the beautiful other spaces they have available with dim lighting and a more romantic vibe, especially for an anniversary dinner. The food was absolutely mind blowing. Everything we had was cooked with so much thought and care. The beef medallion and crab cake appetizers really set the stage for the main course, which consisted of ribeye for both of us. Absolutely the best steak I've ever had. Tender, juicy, seasoned to perfection. My husband enjoyed asparagus with hollandaise as a side. I enjoyed a salad. Everything we devoured was absolutely top notch. Our waiter was awesome, Travis. He definitely took care of us as far as service. Very nice gentleman. I would give the food a 10000/10. I hope to be able to go back and give the ambiance another try. My fault for not speaking up while there or having the wrong set of expectations.“

“Rather than stop at one of the busy chains, I decided to have my meal at the airport prior to my flight. It was a good choice. First, my server Pam was outstanding. She was attentive and professional. The restaurant is calm and quiet, and there is lots of room. The meal was cooked just as ordered, with eggs, sausage potatoes and an English Muffin. The prices are very reasonable. Next time in Quad Cities International, I'll eat here again.“
