“Not the best single slice place in the area, maybe it depends on the time of day because mine were not crispy and had probably been sitting on the warmer for too long. The other food looks good so would maybe go back to try another item but the slices are meh.“
“I visited the store first time and it was a great experience. Halal fresh food was too good specially Grill Chicken , Rotisserie Chicken . The raw meat is pure zabiha halal HMS approved. I recommend to visit for Indian & Pakistani taste and style . Peace !“

“We tried Byrd’s Hot Chicken in Skokie and it was absolutely worth it! We ordered the Byrd Bomb (crispy tenders with cheese, slaw, 24 karat sauce, pickles on bread and hot toast) and it was packed with flavor. The hot chicken sandwich was juicy and had the perfect kick, while the crispy Byrd wrap was a great twist with amazing crunch. We also got a full order of wings, and they were cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and tender inside.
The drinks selection is solid (Pepsi products) and paired perfectly with the heat. Service was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the place had plenty of space with lots of parking available.
If you’re looking for delicious hot halal chicken with great portions and excellent service, this is the spot. Definitely coming back! Also they are on uber eats and open super late“

“Everything was sweet, except it would have been cool to have a fork for the salad. Otherwise, just a truly, quality meal. And even though the delivery fellow seemed mildly nonplussed when I spoke English, I could tell he was a really nice guy.“

“Zad by Pita Inn in Skokie, Illinois, offers a delightful four-star dive into Mediterranean cuisine with its fresh, flavorful dishes that blend authenticity and affordability, making it a go-to spot for quick yet satisfying meals in a casual setting. The steak shawarma wraps tender, spiced meat in warm pita with creamy hummus and crisp veggies that burst with Middle Eastern zest, while the lamb dishes impress with their juicy tenderness and aromatic spices, all served in generous portions that feel like a steal for the price. The clean, no-frills counter-service atmosphere hums with efficient staff who keep things moving smoothly, though occasional inconsistencies in seasoning or tougher cuts during busy rushes can slightly detract from the experience. Overall, it’s a reliable neighborhood gem for falafel lovers and shawarma enthusiasts alike, with gluten-friendly options adding to its appeal, even if it doesn’t quite reach the pinnacle of gourmet flair.“
