“I stumbled upon this place by accident and I’m glad I did. The food is the *Byrd Bomb*
I would’ve never thought to put pickles and cole slaw on top of chicken and fries but it works.
My only gripe with the Oak Lawn location, in particular, is the night crew! I have to check my food before I leave because they keep messing up my order. I got all the way home one time and there was no 24k sauce on either order. My bf went in on a Sunday evening around 8pm and was told they weren’t taking any orders, although they were currently preparing an order for someone. The hours state that they close at 9pm so why aren’t you taking orders at 8pm?? Recently I ordered the same thing again, checked before I left and everything looked as it should. However, I get home, and there’s barely any cole slaw on either order. Also, I mentioned no spice on either order. My son mentioned that his was a little spicy and he couldn’t finish it. I noticed mine was spicy as well but could tolerate it. This is ridiculous that my order continues to be incorrect, or you’re turning away business because you don’t want to do your job. Then you try to compensate by giving out free drinks and the order is still incorrect. Not looking to get anyone fired (especially in this economy) but this needs to be looked into.“

The way Amina and the rest of the staff recognize us it’s just so heartwarming, they make us feel like family. We are so happy when we’re here and leave even happier with a full belly. Edit after 3 months. I still come here and I’ve probably been 25+ times. This is the best Halal Food in the area.

Edit after 1 year. This place is good. The food is always good and the workers are usually nice to the customers I still give it 5 stars, but there are some small problems.
The chicken on rice should be cut small like it was when they first opened just like it is in NYC. They’ve been putting out huge chunks of chicken and it’s just not as flavorful as it used to be. Please go back to cutting it smaller. Also sometimes when they’re busy the place can be a mess with no one cleaning the dining area. One more thing is the drinks are never full. It’s always out of something and the cooler looks empty. I love this place so I hope they fix these small issues.“

“I’ve loved this place since the day I started ordering it! I order this almost every week or every other week when I’m at work in the evening. It’s always delivered fresh and warm and the chicken is amazing the seasonings are fantastic! And the names of the items to order are hilarious also the humor in me makes me laugh at them!“

“First time here, and it was fantastic. While waiting for my dining partner to arrive, the place was mobbed in minutes (6 pm on a Friday), but the 2 counter staff and the kitchen staff never stopped moving. We got our meals fairly quickly, considering the rush. The best thing? The food was great! Perfect seasoning on the fries, the tenders are HUGE (like 2 and a half combined into one monster piece).

I got the Tender / Mini / Fries combo, and my wife got the Mac combo.

The spices are perfectly balanced - I had mild and medium on my chicken, my partner had mild on hers. She has a much more timid palate, and she was good. If you get mild on the Mac combo, make sure the sauce on the Mac matches the chicken sauce - otherwise, that's *a spicy*.

I can not compliment the counter staff enough - they were moving so fast. I told the one she should try out for the Chicago Bears; she did a supply run in 10 seconds flat! Even the customer next to me agreed! =)

I even asked the cashier to give tap water and they said that they do not have cups. “Fatoush might be our new favorite. We ordered catering for a small family gathering yesterday. Absolutely perfect. Grill platter and shawarma. Meat was beautiful seasoned, cooked perfectly . Rice plentiful and so good, humus, babganush, muthawama delicious. I was prepared for the huge, gorgeous, fresh salad that came with the platter. Plenty of delicious sauces too. Service friendly.
