I have a Lotta friends in Fort Myers who go all the way to Tampa to get this sandwich and they continue to tell me how good it is. So this evening we decided to go to Portillo since I was visiting on my grandkids and my daughter and son-in-law, I really enjoyed that Italian beef sandwich. There are a lot of other good things on the menu, but that was what I was there for. Unfortunately, they do not have a Portillo’s Station FortnMyer Florida. I can only hope that one day they will build it there.“

“I am a very huge fan of smaller scale restaurants that can be found hiding in the city. Family-owned businesses are typically the ones that have the best food because they do not necessarily look into mainstreaming menus and recipes. with smaller restaurants, you can typically find amazing price opportunities as well as some unique food that has not been released to the broad market. It almost makes locations like this become a treasure if you come across them. Huge shout-out for Lola's. Amazing dogs, burgers, shakes! give them a try when you get the chance. For me, it was worth every penny!“

“This is my first time trying this restaurant and I loved it. My favorite Sandwich is the Italian beef, and I always like to try new restaurants to see who makes the best. I ordered the Homemade Italian beef sandwich with Hot peppers, and I loved it in general. Here is my feedback to the owner:

1. Your beef and gravy are very delicious and well balanced in taste; they are nicely seasoned which is something not all restaurants can get right. they are enjoyable to eat. Good job on this.

Here are some suggestions to further elevate the Sandwich in my opinion:

1. The bread should be able to hold a very wet sandwich without breaking apart, I suggest looking for special kind of bread that can do so for customer who like their Sandwich Saggy like myself.

2. Depending on the temperature of the gravy, the beef may need to stay in it for few minutes (3 to 5) to keep maximum tenderness.

3. The Hot peppers are extremely spicy, and they can dominate the taste and hide the deliciousness of your wonderful product. I pushed most of them aside to enjoy the awesome taste of the beef. If there is a way to tune them down so they give a kick, then I think it will be great in my opinion.

“Horrid! As a native Chicagoan I never expected to be disappointed by a neighbourhood hot dog stand. Yesterday, for the first time I went to Jr’s Red Hots. For starters they messed up the order of two hotdogs with fries. Instead we received two overcooked polish sausage with greasy fries. I couldn’t consume more than two bites of either. It was obvious the grill and oil from deep fryer aren’t routinely cleaned. Failed on a grand scale!!!! Never going back to Jr’s.“

“The quarter lb. chubby Vienna dog done on the grill is great, the fries are great and the service is great. My second experience and they are above par. So worth the vist. A quaint place with charm and good food.“

“The guy behind the counter was a little gruff and curt with me, but once he saw that I had my dog with me, he warmed up a bit. Otherwise, the hot dogs were tasty, but I was expecting more tots than what was served to me. Also, the way that the restaurant was shot in the photos listed online were very deceptive; way smaller space than expected, and really no place to sit and enjoy your food.“

“We moved here two years ago from NY and finally had Josh’s for dinner. Their menu is fantastic, with a lot of different options. We had the Ribs and Greek Chicken dinner. My husband said “these are amongst the best ribs I’ve ever had”. The Greek chicken was amazing. The food portions are more than generous. This will be our Friday night go to place for sure! Get the regular combo (beef and sausage) for the best experience. The wet is good enough to already make the bread fall apart, dipped will get you a soggy mess without a fork in sight!

Keep many napkins handy and your shirt protected! Oh and get the giardiniera, hot preferred for the best pigout experience.
