“Dyn. A. Mite! We've visited four times and the food has always been mouth wateringly good. The shrimp burrito dinner is heaven on a plate, and HUGE! Booth seats are not very comfortable, but frankly the food is so good that you don't even notice once it starts coming (and they're good for your posture!). Chips and salsa are complimentary. Drinks are good. There's a small gaming area to the side of the dining room for those inclined. My wife likes the machines and won around $400 dollars there (net), so they seem programmed generously. This is obviously a family enterprise staffed by Mom and kids as well as others. Prices are reasonable for this economy, no better or worse than others. Can't recommend it enough. I hope they're there until way past the day I die.“

“Ordered for my daughters end of year softball party. Everyone absolutely loved all of it!! We ordered chicken, barbacoa, and steak tacos with tamales. My husband, who LOVES tamales, asked why we didn't order more for just us and the girls and their siblings gobbled all of the tacos up. Every parent asked for contact information. Highly recommend. “Food was soooo good tried the restraunt in the back today after coworker made the recommendation and was not disappointed! 3 tacos and I was full my boyfriend had 5 and had a hard time finishing. Love the little shop growing up in Arizona there were tons of little places like this I used to frequent so finding something that reminds me of home made my day! Will definitely be back. Best Chalupas and Gorditas I've had in a while! been here several times, great Michilada's! small outside seating area and the inside is as well. about 10 tables inside, with a Bar to sit at and maybe 5 outside with sun umbrellas. (for warmer weather.) when it gets busy it can be kinda crowded but the family of about 8 do a great job keeping up! a must go to if you're in the mood for some great Mexican food! Pick your time right and avoid the crowd (unless you're into that kinda thing...) for great food, great, service and a Great atmosphere with delicious drinks! I've had the Chalupas Amazing, Gorditas Excellent, Margaritas Tangy and sweet, ChimiChanga dinner Awesome, try the fresh homemade Salsa And Guacamole! I usually go alone and have a beer before and with dinner, and a drink after dinner and it's usually around $25 to $35 + tipParking: they have an upper and lower parking lot. “Went in on Sunday, location was cleaned inside and outside the restaurant. There was enough parking behind the restaurant. Food was amazing, had menudo de res which was great, hot and they also gave me chile de arbol to add spiciness to the menudo. Also ordered a molcajete fajita meal for 2, my daughter and I could hardly finish it. It has so much meat with rice and beans on the side. I really got my money worth. Staff was extremely nice and friendly, they attended to us in a timely manner, for a family of 6.“

“We love this place. Never dined in, it's a small and very generic dining area at the front of the restaurant. It's always been a takeout place for us; and they seem to always have people sitting in there after placing an order to take out, so they seem to do good business. Generally we get enchiladas and burritos, and they have always been top notch. Their hot salsa is terrific. Service has always been polite and prompt. We often make a point of stopping in when we're driving by it. Yum.“

The empty tables were all ready for customers to come in to eat.Decent amount of parking for the strip mall.Menu is laid out nicely. Good variety. Prices are competitive depending on what you get. I didn’t notice anything extremely expensive or inexpensive. I think maybe their fajitas are priced lower than other restaurants in the area. “Yum! I love the salsas. Guacamole and chips fresh and delicious. I had an el pastor burrito with everything. It was tasty and hit the spot. Meat was a little fatty, good flavor and not overcooked. “Had some solid Mexican food here. Ordered Bistek ranchero mexicano, Chicken enchiladas, Al pastor burrito, Al pastor tacos. Everything was good sized and with good flavor. Bistek has very thin been pieces about 3/4" square in ranchero source with a fresh salid next to it, refried beans, rice and marm tortillas. It was very good. The only thing I can offer is there were many onions where there could have been a bit more tomato / tomatillo and maybe a jalepino. The burrito was carefully put together and had good flavor, the pastor was nicely flavored with a good bit a spice to it. The chicken enchiladas were good sized with a good amount of cheese also with a fresh little salad. I did not even get to the tacos yet, will have those tomorrow. Definitely a solid meal!“

“Great food, great drinks, INCREDIBLE service! My cousin and I met up this weekend to catch up over margaritas and Mexican food and this is where we landed. We had Hailey as our server and she was so sweet and on top of everything! We were there for hours and she always made sure we were good on drinks and refilled our chips when we got low. She was fun and attentive, and to have a great server on top of the delicious food and margs, really made the night so wonderful for us. WE LOVE HAILEY!“

“I was really loving the food here but its a little expensive. I was plan on returning often until I seen my bill and was charged $2.00 for a glass of water. It was not a bottle of water just tap water. It was a small glass of water and I have never paid so much for a glass of water to go with my order. So much for the yummy food!“

“I do not know if this place was bought out. I believe the old name was el gordo. Which I tried when I first moved to McHenry and was disappointed. El Vado Satisfied my hunger really good and fresh food! I wish we could have raised the volume on the music. I forgot to take a picture of my food I ordered a torta de milanesa and it was so delicious! I have to point out the host and the guy that was helping him seat the people as they were coming in they both were very fast at cleaning up and getting them seated right away! Great service! But we were tended to perfectly.An aside, a person in an electric wheel chair showed up and asked for a burrito in exchange for her name and phone number and a promise to pay. They didn't hesitate. My group and people from the kitchen came out offering to lift them into the restaurant . They declined but the kitchen made her her burrito.Perfect food. We wanted to try both the goat and beef styles so we ordered a large goat birria bowl split into 2 smaller bowls to share and man the consome was FIRE!! Athey got the true jalisco style flavor on point. The beef quesabirrria tacos were also amazing, they werent really fried and it needed the cheese on the outside but other than that 10/10. We want late on a Thursday so we have no idea how the view is but given how good the food was I don't know it would have mattered. We got fresh quac which was amazing and shrimp fajitas. Chips were fresh and warm and portions were large. This was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants thus far.“

“I'm a regular here (I live just 5 minutes from there) and their food has always been very good. Service is great even on the days that they are very busy. I also order takeout food from here almost weekly, especially on Tuesdays when they have their taco specials going and the tacos for takeout are less than $2.00 each. I will usually get 4-6 steak tacos on those days along with a tamale on the side and a refreshing Horchata to wash everything down. Why cook at home for myself when I can just come here to get my dinner and either eat inside or take my food home to eat. They also have a delicious taco dinner that comes with 3 tacos of your choice with a side of refried beans and some Spanish Rice. I've tried most of the food items on their menu and have never been disappointed. The prices are also very reasonable for the meal that you're getting. I would highly recommend them to anyone who happens to be in the area or reasonably close by.“
