“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Book them! We used La Huerta to cater our engagement party in Illinois this past January and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My fiancé and I live in Texas, so finding good Mexican food that would actually impress our guests — about 70 people — was really important to us. We did not want to settle, and we absolutely did not have to. A few things really stood out. First, their pricing was completely transparent — no guessing games, no surprise numbers, just honest and upfront from the beginning. When you're planning an event from out of state, that matters more than you'd think. Second, knowing that La Huerta is a favorite of a former health inspector — a friend of a friend — was such a relief. I once attended a wedding where all the guests got sick from the catering, and that fear has stuck with me every time I host. Having that extra layer of confidence meant I could actually be present and enjoy our party instead of quietly stressing about it. The catering manager was just incredible. She was on it the entire time — detail-oriented, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went perfectly. That kind of care is hard to find. “My husband and I owned a mobile Hot Dog Stand I ran it in Northwest Indiana. I sold Bari Beef Sandwiches. I was famous for my Beef sandwiches . I have and will always swear by Bari Beef!!!! We have moved all over the country the last 9 years and just moved to Bartlett Illinois. I just found out I live only 9.8 miles from Bari factory store …… I think I have died and gone to Heaven!!! On a side note. I had a deal for all new customers who questioned whether I had the best beef sandwiches. I told them “You buy my Beef sandwich and if you do t think it’s the best you have ever had I will give you your money back!” I have NEVER had to give anyone their money back!!! “I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always enjoyed the coffee. I’ve also had a pastry or two on the last visits like a poptart it was pretty good. The coffee deserves 5 stars. On the other hand, their breakfast sandwich and avocado toast are not great. I ordered for delivery since I start work very early and they open after I have to he in office. I requested pickled onions and they gave a GENEROUS amount. Way too much that I had to pick them off. It didn’t feel balanced. The flavor of the onions are kind of odd. I’ve made pickled onions myself and had them at other restaurants, but I don’t like the way these are made. Hard to pinpoint the flavor of what they added in the pickling process since it tastes more than just adding vinegar, lime, water and sugar. The biscuit bread was moist… and it tasted weird and bitter… the aftertaste to the sandwich was not pleasant. I’m not sure how to describe it, and not sure if the biscuit or sausage was moldy or not but it tasted awful. I’m definitely not ordering the sandwich or avocado toast again. I’ll just stick to the coffee or whatever pastries they got.“

“Disappointing. Have given this place a few tries, but last night was the last. Ordered a sausage pizza and there literally was 1 piece of sausage per slice on majority of the slices of pizza. Some slices actually had no sausage. Plus it was dry. Lifted up the cheese and there was barely any sauce. And, end pieces had no cheese. Took a pick when it was mostly gone....we were hungry so ate in anyways. We were very disappointed. A bad night maybe ? They weren't busy at all, no one inside. Really wanted to love this place, but....“
