“Worth the wait and must try! Beautiful and unique venue in the unassuming town of Des Plaines. Our server was kind and welcoming, food was delicious, drinks were fun and tasty. The only two items that were less than ideal, the horrible acoustics (incredibly loud) and although it was too on my list to try, the chicken shawarma rolls were underwhelming. Even with those two items, the great service and food quality it's still worth the 5 star review. We sat upstairs, which very much appreciated, being out of the hustle and bustle of the downstairs. Looking forward to trying the brunch and the outside patio... overlooking the water.“

“Had a private dinner with my family at Dave's last night. It was great! The food was excellent. We had stuffed mushrooms, avocado toast, polenta and pesto, hand rolled lasagna, pork shoulder with blueberry sauce and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Everything was handmade right in front of us and delicious. We loved having the place ourselves and dined for at least 3 hours. Dave, our chef entertained us and told us tons of cooking secrets. The shop is BYOB so we brought all of our favorite refreshments. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. We plan to come back for many more meals.“

George made the process seamless. He handled all the details which made us not even need a wedding coordinator. The guests raved about how amazing the food was!!! Everything George said he would do, he did. I am so happy we went with the Cotillion Banquets. I highly recommend this venue for your CEREMONY and RECEPTION or reception only. I was very nervous about how everything would turn out but in the end it was perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful. George even let us use the bridal suite to do our hair and makeup hours before the event! What a blessing it was to have someone care as much as he does. We've tried Panera, PotBelly, etc. No one compares. Panera sandwiches have two pieces of meat on them and soggy letuce. PotBelly is good, but limited selection for those with dietary restrictions. Jimmy Johns may be fast but questionable quality at best. Give Tasty a try, you won't regret it!“

“We hosted our baby shower at church street, and it was amazing. Everyone loved the atmosphere. We worked with Jace before, during, and after the event. The food was amazing, I did not receive a single complaint from my very picky family members, they all agreed it was amazing. The guest enjoyed the beer and we even did a growler with a beer of choice as one of diapers raffle gifts and it was the most popular one! I am so happy we hosted our event here, it went so smooth and hassle free. I will definitely be hosting events again here in the future!“

“We were in the area and remembered that Two Chefs was down the street. We have emotional ties to this restaurant because they catered our wedding in 2011 and we were very impressed with their food. The waitress greeted us at the door and was very professional, polite, and well dressed. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie, it was very flavorful. The chicken was very tender and the crust was flaky like you would expect. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli it was so delicious and brought back memories. Love that I can add calabrian chili spread but need to be careful because that stuff is hot. And finally a sandwich shop that serves it on real bread and the right size. Never go hungry after eating here. Also the lemon cookies are on point. Need to try some of the hot sandwiches next.“

We didn't dine in because we were trying to prepare for an event but I'm kind of glad we didn't. It's small and dark inside, and I felt like the tables were too close together. But they made up for it all with an AMAZING breakfast. I got the gyro skillet. Absolutely delicious!! The picture does it absolutely no justice.. I never thought of gyro as a breakfast item and now I know I need it often. There were huge portions of meat and amazing tzatziki sauce and nobody will ever call them stingy with the cheese because for every bite I got delicious feta cheese chunks mixed in. It was amazing. The pancakes were basic, there was nothing wrong with them but I'm not going to reminisce on them. But that gyro skillet!!! I can't wait to get it again“
