I got in the car, saw my wallet in the seat and decided not to go back in. “Tried the express menu last weekend for the first time and was NOT disappointed. Vegan birria tacos (made with perfectly seasoned mushrooms) were excellent, though I have to admit the consomé wasn't, unfortunately. But the vegan soul plate was all good. The fried hearts of palm were tasty and crunchy, the mac and cheese was creamy and not too heavy, the sweet potatoes were Thanksgiving-y, and the greens did their job. And the hibiscus and ginger tea I ordered was delicious! I just wish it was less than a 40-minute drive for me, but what can you do?“

We received so many compliments from guests saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Meghann was extremely helpful & accommodating during the planning process. Anything I needed she made sure it was taken care of. Our day of coordinator Luis was awesome as well as all of the staff there. Everyone was super friendly and always on top of everything. Immediately after the ceremony was over we had a drink in hand and apps in our bridal suite for us. We were blown away by the food and everything from start to finish. “I had the pleasure of experiencing Catering Out The Box after winning their service as an auction item at the Chicago Scholars Gala last fall and let me just say… this was one of the best auction wins I’ve actually used. From the start, working with the owners was seamless. We collaborated to create a progressive menu that felt completely tailored to our evening. What I appreciated most was the flexibility. There were plenty of options to choose from, and they were open to curating beyond the standard menu to bring our vision to life. The execution was next level. Their team arrived fully prepared with everything needed. Setup, prep work, bar service, cocktails, table presentation, and serving utensils… all handled. Truly a turnkey experience. All we had to provide was the alcohol and kitchen space. A special shoutout to Sergio, our server, and Chef Berta. The food was fresh, light, and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. And I have to say… having our own branzino each was such a standout detail. Anthony, the owner, personally checked in at both the beginning and end of the evening to ensure everything from setup to breakdown was flawless.
