“We visited The Graceful Ordinary in downtown St. Charles, IL, on a warm late September day. We had a wonderful experience at Graceful Ordinary, one that's hard to match outside of Chicago. From its comfortable yet elegant design to the unique menu, every detail was carefully considered. The food was delicious and thoughtfully presented, and the service was excellent. We were fortunate to visit on a very warm day towards the end of September. We sat on the fully screened-in veranda and enjoyed the scenery in comfort. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a unique, elevated dining experience; no matter where you're traveling from, it's worth the trip.“

“Small family Easter brunch that was exceptional! Menu was full of wonderful traditions and thoughtful new dishes that we all (from 29 to 85 years old) were able to enjoy. Our server Kai was very professional and offered great suggestions. Our dishes were so plentiful we shared bites and it became an impromptu tasting. The ambience is always perfect and this sunny morning with a river view table was the best ever. Many thanks for such a memorable meal and such great service.“

“Tonight I decided to venture out and try this restaurant my family has been RAVING about called Al’s Cafe in Downtown Elgin! I sat upstairs and had this lovely server named Marcie! She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! “The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“
