“I unfortunately did not get a chance to try the food I was on a charity ride
Stop long enough to have a couple of lemonade spilled all over myself in the bartender was very nice gave me a towel to clean up after my mess and gave me an additional lemonade we sat at the outside bar which is phenomenal definitely get the spot a try
I'll be back for the food ASAP.

“My family and I were very well accommodated by Colleen (manager) and Erica (server/bartender) for what was an amazing area to host a graduation dinner for family and friends. This private, elegant area would also make a great space for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, etc. I was obsessed and we were so so lucky to have exceptional service for a short-notice event. We enjoyed the broad selection of drinks from the bar and the delicious food. My favorites were the Mo’ Dough appetizer and the Fowl Play turkey sandwich.“

“Last night we went to Chevin's Kitchen and Catering located inside Kavanaugh’s Hilltop Bar and Grill in Rock Island. This is the second time we have stopped in recently for the daily special. We are so glad we did. From the prompt greeting by the servers and bar staff to the made to order burger sliders with fresh cut fries everything was AMAZING! Our servers were on top of it and so friendly. The food was GREAT! If you haven’t checked this place out yet or if you have forgotten about one of the oldest bars in the neighborhood don’t snooze on this! Great food and great service! “I live in Bettendorf so I don’t get over to Rock Island very often. This place was recommend to me by C & J Upholstery to wait for my car. Since it was breakfast time I ordered the Philly Steak Omelette with wheat toast and fresh fruit. The serving size was very generous and all the food was delicious!! Five different Fresh Fruits, good wheat toast and the omelette was delicious and huge! It took me 45 minutes to eat all of it. I also had coffee and it was perfect for my taste. My service was excellent and timely. All the staff was friendly and helpful; especially Maddie and Nick who were my servers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this establishment and will probably bring my wife with me soon even though we live across the river a little ways from here.“

“Our Supper Club chose to dine here last Saturday, we had a group of 10. We had drinks and then appetizers, the mint chocolate chip martini and the espresso martini both were amazing! We all bought appetizers to share and they were all great. Every one of us loved our entrée. I had the New York strip, which was fantastic and my husband had a fillet and he said it was fantastic too. We both eat our steaks, medium rare, and they were cooked perfect. After dinner, we did split a piece of heath bar cheesecake and it definitely lives up to the hype! I think all of our favorite part of the atmosphere was the piano player! He was so fun and played great sing a long songs. Our group had a lot of fun singing along with him and dancing in our chairs! Our server/Alise did a stellar job of taking our orders, a timely delivery of appetizers and drinks. But most importantly, our food was all delivered within a few minutes of each other, so nobody was sitting and waiting for their food. Claudia did a great job on making sure everybody had what they needed. Everything was prepared the way we wanted it and the final touch of boxing our leftovers for us, was just the chefs kiss on top of a great evening. We will definitely be coming back.“

“They were running a special on the Hog Skillet the morning we came in. Apparently, they were using a special pork tenderloin for it so we both decided to order it. The food came out quickly but the sliced, breaded pork tenderloin was so hard and rubbery that neither of us could stomach it. My friend let the server know and she apologized profusely before taking the dishes away and bringing out new ones, STAT. The second Hog Skillet was so much better. The pork tenderloin was nice and moist inside and crispy on the outside. Just the way it should be! The server said that they went back to the original recipe for the re-make. The bad batch was frozen, I guess. This is a lesson not to cut corners! It's awful that the first dish was not up to standards but the staff all addressed the situation very professionally.“

Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I spent more time waiting for my beer than being able to sit down and enjoy my time. 10+ minute wait for a beer with only 5 People around the bar is pretty ridiculous. “We were staying in Iowa, but we had to go to Illinois for a tender loin and made rite sandwich. Not far from the interstate, a cute dinner atmosphere, and pretty big portions. We opted for the bigger sandwiches on the menu and shared. The service checked in a few times. Definitely recommended.“

“The husband and I love coming here for a date. The food is SOO good, the variety of ciders/beers on tap are amazing and the staff are always pleasant. The menu has slight changes here and there..They had a Mahn Mi at one time, delicious but the next time we went it was replaced with the steak sandwich but that was eye rolling amazing...lol. They have a patio outside with extra seating and a Corn Hole section and Ping Pong tables. Brought the kids for lunch one day, they enjoyed that. Will always be first choice for a night out.“

“So about 9 almost 10 years ago I met this nice lady named Kristi she came with a friend that did a guest spot at my tattoo shop in La Crosse, WI. My husband was down there about a month or two ago he came to that bar and she remembered my husband even after he lost over 200lbs. Every time I come down to Illinois I am going to end up here. Great atmosphere and met sooooo many awesome people. Love this place great hometown feel. Food is phenomenal and of course you get Kristi Luv! See you probably in February!!!!!“
