We were seated quickly even though we didn’t book a reservation ahead on a Friday night. Was so fun to try the different wines and enjoy the ambiance this unique experience has to offer. The only downside, we ordered aoli fries immediately upon being seated and sampled multiple wines about an hour in and the fries still had not arrived. Disappointed we had to ask for them to go, they were boxed up for us and removed from the bill. Good fries for sure but would have been even better eating them on location.“

“I have been here twice now, first time for drinks and apps and second time we threw a private event. This place is adorable, really cute vibes and welcoming atmosphere! Service is great we loved our party bartenders especially Jason who was on top of drinks and service all night during the party! We hosted about 40 people on a Friday night, did a buffet from their list of event menus. Food was great and I heard a lot of the guests complementing the food. The apps I had off of the regular menu were also really good! They have a great wine selection and other beer, seltzers and cocktails so there is something for everyone. Highly recommended for a night out, or private event!“

So many cocktail bars offer drinks with great names but with no pizzazz when it come to the taste. All of The Alchemist’s cocktails have pizzazz, and if you don’t see something you want, have the bartender mix something up for you on the spot!“

“I would give this place 100 stars if able! I had to plan a rehearsal luncheon for my son's wedding in Joliet in mid May with only 2 months notice. Since we live in North Carolina, I had to do all the research online. Thank heaven I came across SixtyFour Reserve Room in a Google search. The manager, Andrew, contacted me right away and was so helpful in making suggestions for our event. Cheryl, the events manager, took over in finalizing all the arrangements. There are so many different options for appetizers, meal combinations, wine, cocktails and beer! Our guests were able to choose their favorites ahead of time. When we arrived on the day of the event, we were so delighted by the venue! Everything I had requested was in place, and Cheryl and our amazing server/bartender, Alex, immediately greeted us and made everyone feel welcome. The appetizers and meals were served efficiently and right on the timeline I had planned. The food was incredibly delicious with a pleasing presentation. Our guests had so much fun with the Wine Stations, and the whiskey lovers appreciated the variety of choices. Everyone raved about how much they enjoyed the food, drink and ambiance. Best of all, I was able to relax and enjoy our guests since all the work was done by Andrew, Cheryl, Alex and the kitchen staff. The cost was very reasonable, especially so close to Chicago. For instance, two glasses of wine accompanied by a small charcuterie board—featuring prosciutto, blue cheese, jam, and olives—came to $90 excluding tip. While the service remains commendable, a better balance between price and value could improve the overall experience.

In summary, this is a charming place with excellent service, but there is room for refinement, particularly in wine selection and pricing. With a few adjustments, it has the potential to become a standout destination in the area.“

“We've been a few times, and everyone we've met has this fun bubbly personality. They're very informed about their product and make recommendations based on personal preference, local options, popular options...anything (within reason) you can think of they know their product. And if you don't feel like walking around, there are games and TVs in the back.“

They said whenever they asked Ricardo for something the only thing they heard was: No problem! OR… Whatever you need! And ALL of our guests complimented the food and most took home doggie bags. “First time at brunch. The brisket hash was very good. Nothing like corned beef hash. It was flavorful and hearty. We were warned that the French Toast was sweet. While good, it was very rich and smothered in chocolate sauce. A little less chocolate would have helped make the dish more enjoyable. Our server wasn't very attentive and didn't check on us after she dropped off the food until we were finished eating. The music was a tad distracting as it was a bit loud, and then again there weren't as many people in the restaurant to absorb the sound. One busser in particular was very detailed and neat in his cleaning of the tables. It was impressive to see the care he put into his job. Would we go back for brunch? Yes. Would we order the same things? Probably not. There are other dishes calling out to be tried.“
