My wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Ruth's Chris Steak House while staying at our Hyatt hotel in St. Louis for a work conference. The restaurant is conveniently located on the first floor, which allowed us to walk directly from our room to dinner—no need to drive, find parking, or navigate unfamiliar areas. That convenience alone made our experience even more enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and taken great care of by the entire staff. Our server, Darin, was both professional and personable. He engaged us in great conversation throughout the evening, making the experience even more memorable. We shared that we were visiting from Southern California and talked about Disneyland, while he told us about his recent trip to California and his visit to Knott's Berry Farm—so much fun that he didn't even make it to Disneyland! During our conversation, Darin mentioned this to his manager, Jonathan, who is also from California (the Bay Area). Jonathan came by our table, and we enjoyed a wonderful conversation about our shared California connections, including our son attending Chico State, which he was familiar with as well. These personal touches made the evening feel special and genuine. Jonathan and his team made such a strong impression that we returned for dinner a second night before our early morning flight back to California. Both visits were exceptional. The food was outstanding, and the service and conversations made us feel truly welcomed. Not every restaurant we visited during our trip offered great food, service, and connection—but Ruth's Chris, under Jonathan's leadership, delivered all three. From the reception staff to the bartenders and waitstaff, the team is well-rounded and dedicated to creating a memorable experience. “Carmine’s is my favorite steakhouse in St. Louis. I have been a loyal customer at all of the Lombardo family restaurants my entire life and Carmine’s is simply the best. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is always 5 stars, never disappoints. I recommend eating here before/after a downtown event or game because the location is prime and has easy access to the highway. I always use their valet parking to avoid traffic at other downtown parking places.“
