“I LOVE THIS TACO BELL WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING!!!!!!

Every single time I pull up, the food absolutely slaps. I swear the Taco Bell gods themselves descend from the heavens, put on their little Baja Blast robes, and personally curate the most immaculate meal known to mankind. It genuinely does not matter what time I show up this Taco Bell never misses.

I moved away from Wauconda and I have been forced to experience other Taco Bells, and let me tell you, it is not the same. These other locations are simply unable to comprehend the assignment. The difference is devastating. I miss my Wauconda Taco Bell like a soldier misses home.

Wauconda Taco Bell, if you’re reading this, I miss you, I love you, you raised me, you made me who I am, and nobody does it like you.

“The steak and cheese sandwich was good and I get it all the time but the problem was when i used those drink fountains not the bottle one but the one you have pure drink in the cup there was something in the drink. Although I changed my mind that I will just buy a drink for the bottle.“

“I was very happy with the employees that worked there, but i gave it a one-star for the food. I was very disappointed in the twist cone I received. It was like eating whipped cream. Don't get me wrong, I like whipped cream but not as a cone. The reason why it was like this is because the machine wasn't calibrated correctly in the beginning, or they ran out of mix, and when they added more mix. And then the machine when out of calibration. I know this because I worked in the food industry for 35 years.“

“Ashley helped me choose exactly what I wanted & she was so extremely friendly!! The frozen pineapple float machine was broken, but right when it became working again, Ashley personally made me the frozen pineapple float (which i did pay for) & brought it to me. “Stopped by McDonald’s around 4am on 05/07 and wanted to recognize an employee who truly takes pride in his work. While sitting in the drive-thru for a few minutes, I noticed this gentleman properly cleaning and sanitizing equipment, carefully cleaning the thermometer after checking temperatures, and washing/sanitizing his hands whenever needed.
What stood out most was that nobody was watching him (except me) — he was simply doing the right thing every single step of the way. That says a lot about someone’s character and work ethic. Champs are made when no one is looking, and this employee is definitely one of them.
Huge respect and hats off to this employee for caring about cleanliness, food safety, and doing the job correctly. I covered his face in the photo out of respect since I did not have authorization to post him. GIVE HIM A RAISE OR A BONUS !! At minimum, he deserves recognition.“

“I go here usually when I am in Waconda. If I don’t grab a dinner for my family and I, I always grab one piece of chicken. Their food is always hot and fresh. The thing I like most though is the customer service there. Everyone’s nice, but I’ve grown very attached to one of the employees who I always have waiting on me. His name is Cole and he works the Drive Up window and, the inside register. He’s very polite and considerate and helpful. And when he graduates from high school, and goes to college we will have a new EMT in the area. Which I can guarantee with his personality and kindness he will make a fine addition to any town. So needless to say if you go to Kentucky fried chicken, make sure you say hi to Cole and if you have any questions, even if they’re in another language, he’ll try to help you. This is something I witnessed firsthand with him the other day. He took his time to work with a man and the language app on the phone to help out the customer. So go have some chicken and say hello to Cole!!!!“

“Al’s Hot Dogs has been an awesome addition to Long Grove! So far, I’ve tried the Italian beef, cheesesteak, cheeseburger, and fries, and everything has been absolutely amazing! The food is consistently delicious, and you can tell they’re doing things right.

My only criticism is that the wait times to order and receive your food can be a little longer than you’d like, but hopefully that improves as they get settled in. Regardless, the food is well worth the wait!

So happy to have such a great new spot in Long Grove. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!“

“ordered 2 chicago style hot dogs, Italian beef combo w/ mozzarella cheese and Giardiniera, jalapeño poppers and onion rings. $33.00 ☹️ the combo had barely any beef or Giardiniera on it. the onion rings were a big clump of a soggy greasy mess. the poppers were soggy too. They were not edible, threw them away. I don't know what happened, they used to be really good.“

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.“

“I normally don’t visit zupas due to a bad experience in this past at a different location but I decided to try it again the other day and this very sweet girl at the front greeted and helped me decide what i wanted, her name was lilly and she made me feel welcome. Not only that but i proceeded to order the turkey bacon avacado sandwich and it was great. Definitely Remedied my last experience.“

“Really enjoyed my visit to this Subway! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The store was clean and well organized, and everything looked fresh and nicely prepared. My sandwich was made exactly the way I wanted, and the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious.

“My family of six ate at Culvers in McHenry on Tuesday, Dec 31 about 1:30. We were greeted with a pleasant hello. The lady who took our order got it right and was pleasant.Since were a group of 6, I figured it would take a little longer to get our order. That wasn't the case. Not only did the order come quickly, but is also accurate. That was wonderful! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a gentleman, (Jude, I believe) can around with free samples of the flavor of the day (Mint explosion). Never has that happened at Colvers to me in the many times I eat at different Culvers! What a nice touch! Upon leaving, we got a cheery Thank you, have a great day and happy new year. I wish I lived a little closer because Culvers in McHenry would definitely be my go to place. Thank you for good food and the kindness you all showed.“

“This past June marked the first time in a few years dining in at this location. Lived in RL from May '89-Nov '02 which was obviously when I ate here a bit more regularly and dining in again brought back that nostalgia.

When it comes to having Arby's whether for lunch or dinner, I always make sure I'm starving prior to arriving and almost always order my usual which is the half-pound roast beef sandwich drenched in Arby's sauce.

There's one thing that Arby's doesn't have.......competition. There are plenty of other fast food chains that may operate at the same level but when it comes to the type of food, there's only 1 and that's Arby's.

Among your typical mass franchise chains whether McD's, Popeye's, BK, Subway, Wendy's, Taco Bell, etc.........Arby's has always been different in a positive way and sadly has the least amount of locations which is puzzling.

Only 6 locations in the entire Lake Co, should be at least double that. The taste of the food here especially the roast beef with a side of the classic curly fries or crinkle cuts always hits the spot.

As long as Arby's keeps making that scrumptious roast beef, I'll always pop in from time to time. Hope for several more years of boomin' business for the franchise owner.“

“Everytime I've ordered from this location the order is accurate, tastes great, & fast & friendly service. I deliver for uber eats so I see a lot of restaurants over & over & notice grease marks & fingerprints all over many front doors, dirty counters, etc but not this location. Everything always looks clean, they have lots of hot food they keep making while selling so much, so theres always plenty. All the employees are always running around working hard, nobody is ever just standing! And they are all very friendly. Everybody seems to put in teamwork so everything runs efficiently. I enjoyed the Italian Beef Meal with Mozzarella Cheese, unfortunately, they put the cheese on the bottom and you can’t see it, heavily dipped, fries, extra, extra crispy and a drink. There was enough Italian beef where I could’ve made a second sandwich.“

They immediately came over, cleaned everything up, and even replaced the fries at no charge. Their kindness and great customer service really stood out. You could tell everything was fresh and of high quality. Also, both the drive through window girl and the gentleman that walked out my order to me were nice. Good job Culver's!“
