“Amazing, astonishing, yummy. The chicken here is so good. It can be a bit chewy and messy sometimes but it is perfectly heated. My personal favorite thing there has to be the bread. (I usually replace my coleslaw with another bread.) and the #1 thing we have to mention is the sauce. It truly could not get better.“

“We typically use the drive thru. We like your food, always fresh and tasty. Tonight I had the chicken avocado and strawberry salad. The salad was fresh, walnuts were sweet and crispy, dressing was very creamy. The only criticism I have is my chicken avocado and strawberry salad had no avocados. I do understand sometimes you can run out of ingredients or supply chain issues can interfere with menus. I would just ask to have this made known to us upon ordering or upon discovery, all in the interest of good customer service that you usually do deliver.“

“Tried the new menu item Gyros. Hope they keep it on the menu. They were great. The Tzatziki Sauce which makes a Gyro was perfect with enough cucumbers. We now have a new place to go to for Gyros. Last, I had just about everything on their menu and everything is delicious.“

The burger is good and I have ended up getting a kid's meal last time so that I can try to eat less meat. I am more of a light weight person anyway. The inside of the restaurant could be renovated. They are still in the real old Kooker's building with the same old tile floor that Kooker's restaurant had when I was in high school. It is over 20 years later now. I have been willing to go back to Happy Burger to get meals. The people at the front desk are nice. I do admit, though, sometimes I end up getting a burger for $3 at fast food drive-throughs. Happy Burger (HB) burger tastes more like a fresh made juicy burger when compared to the McDonald's on the other side of the street. HB fries are not bad but could be better because when the HB fries come up and go into a bag, I have found they were a bit wet.Wet fries is a common imperfection with Chicago-style grills.“

“No matter which location you're at, Sammie's always delivers the goodies. When in the mood for good ol' Chicago style grub, Sammie's name is always somewhere up there.

Really good food all around whether I'm craving gyros, a burger (I'm sorry, a Samburger), Chicago dog or Italian beef: Sammie's always does it right.

This location like others I've been to offers delicious grub at still reasonable prices, a clean dining space and of course friendly customer service.

“I visited the Crystal Lake Culver’s on Saturday, May 24th, 2025. I am an avid fan of Culver’s and I have visited 35 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Kentucky. As a resident of Crystal Lake I visit this Culver’s very regularly. The food was excellent and the service was quick. I definitely recommend the ice cream and the chicken. 5/5 I will definitely be back very soon. (Written 6-3-25)“

Got a chocolate shake and a large cheese curd. Asked if we could get the shake made w chocolate custard instead of vanilla, we were told no problem. Asked why they usually use the vanilla custard for the Choco shake out of curiosity and the employee explained why without any hesitation. He was young but was well trained considering who knew the answer for such a minor detail.

Food and drink took a bit but that's fine. Slow and well done over fast and rushed anyday.

We get our stuff. Chocolate shake was good considering my mother drank half of it in 10 minutes or so.

Cheese curds were the most freshly done curds I've ever gotten from a Culver's before. Not reheated old cheese curds, not undercooked or oversalted cheese curds, but hot and finely salted cheese curds.

Probably the best Culver's experience I've ever had and that it happened on a Saturday of all days - the day most employees of establishments tend to check out - is astonishing.

Will certainly make a point of visiting this location more frequently as opposed to the Huntley location. Am curious about their burgers if this is the sort of quality I can expect on occasion (at the very least).

“The thing I love of this fast food restaurant is that they always give me fresh food. I can't remember ever getting something stale or cold. The service is good most of the time and we'll the atmosphere, it's a fast food joint there isn't much to brag there“

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.“

“My family of six ate at Culvers in McHenry on Tuesday, Dec 31 about 1:30. We were greeted with a pleasant hello. The lady who took our order got it right and was pleasant.Since were a group of 6, I figured it would take a little longer to get our order. That wasn't the case. Not only did the order come quickly, but is also accurate. That was wonderful! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a gentleman, (Jude, I believe) can around with free samples of the flavor of the day (Mint explosion). Never has that happened at Colvers to me in the many times I eat at different Culvers! What a nice touch! Upon leaving, we got a cheery Thank you, have a great day and happy new year. I wish I lived a little closer because Culvers in McHenry would definitely be my go to place. Thank you for good food and the kindness you all showed.“

For me, the stars of the show are the Texas toast and the Cane's sauce. The sauce has a bit of a kick and is savory, and I dip everything in it. “We went to Panini Bar, as we had a craving for a panini this afternoon and we googled “panini near me”. This place came up. We ordered avocado panini (vegetarian) and Turkey pesto panini. Both were REALLY REALLY tasty. Avocado panini had a bit of spaciness to it (which I loved). Turkey panini was absolutely delicious with basil pesto. All ingredients were fresh and panini was nice and crispy. We rally enjoyed our food. The only thing we didn’t realize is that this is a deli, not a cafe. So there is no opportunity for dine-in. But we found a couple benches outside and had a nice picnic on a bench. Overall, great sandwich take-out place! Service was great too, very nice and polite.“

We went here twice and each time he was patient, and the second time we came here last minute and he still let my partner in for sandwhiches. “We used to come here every time we traveled through the area and actually go out of our way to go there. We used to live in the area. I was always impressed on how the man behind the counter could remember the orders and not write them down. The food was always great. We were there recently and it seems they changed owners? The Italian beef is still good, I ordered a Chicago hotdog. There was no poppyseed bun and way too much mustard so that the bun fell apart. The hot dog itself didn’t taste the same either.They used to have booths with soft seats which were nice for elderly people. All they have now are long tables and small bar stools to sit on which was an option before. Hard to be comfortable. It’s a different person taking orders. I was disappointed and we probably won’t go out of our way to come back.“

“I think this is the best Popeyes in lake county and the safest to eat at. Clean atmosphere and convenient location. The only downside i would say is that when ordering the family box they put a lot of big back pieces in the box. Everything else about this place is great. Stay away from the Gurnee one unless you want to be sick. Round Lake is hands down the better one“
