“They have a wide variety of food. The sushi was good for a buffet. They had a small assortment of sushi rolls both cooked and uncooked with a soup bar next to it. They have about four tables with a selection of rice and noodle dishes, meats, and seafood. I definitely recommend going. It was above average buffet food. They have delicious teriyaki noodles and a dessert table for the kiddos. We went on a Sunday and paid about $45.00 for two adults and a child under two years old. Overall a good experience. I took off one star because some of the dishes were luke warm, but again, it is a buffet so it's not gonna be perfect.Kid-friendliness: Noodles and desserts that were kid friendly. They offered a variety of juices for my child. They have pizza as well.“
“Would highly recommend Kuro bistro for the playful menu, house-made sauces, fresh ingredients, great service, and relaxed ambience. We had hibachi scallops, sushi pizza on crispy rice, several rolls, and hibachi shrimp. We also ordered a side of the amazing spicy fermented daikon pickes and gomae. The kyuuri roll would be a perfect lunch choice too. Everything was very good and service was excellent. Lots more to explore on the menu, will be returning many times.“
“Went here on a Friday night recently for the first time with a friend. The host and the waitress made sure that my first experience would be unforgettable. We received delicious appetizers on the house. Service was probably the best service I've received in a really long time. And most importantly the food was delicious and fresh. Staff put so much effort into their service and food. It was refreshing to have such a positive experience at a local restaurant for a change. Will be back again soon!“
“I have been going to Hayashi for years. Whenever, I have a craving for Japanese strip steaks, sushi, or Udon that is my go-to place. Excellent Food, Excellent Service, and Excellent Ambiance. I would highly recommend this Japanese steak house. They go out of their way to serve their customers. In my case, I love to have their kimchi and they bring it without even me mentioning about it. 5 Stars.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available in their menu.“
“Typically I give this place all 5 stars but had to only give 4 stars for the service. The place was busy as usual, but one meal did not come until 20 mins after everyone else was done eating. They kept saying another 5 mins. Don't get me wrong the sushi is great and I will be coming back, but it would have nice if they offered us a discount or a free dessert.“
“If you're near Libertyville craving some sushi or hibachi, this is the spot to visit. Their sushi rolls are delicious! You must try the Dragon Ferrari and OMG rolls. They won't disappoint you. They're full of flavor. It's probably my 4th time coming to this spot and they never disappoint. If you're feeling hibachi, try the stake and shirmp, it's also delicious!“
“Tokyo Bowl is one of Vernon Hills' hidden gems. It's tucked away in a strip mall off of Townline Road. Ever since I was a child, I've always asked my parents to take me here for a special lunch. Now, it's my go-to spot for sushi dates. Every dish on the menu is beautifully crafted and undeniably delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone who is a fan of Asian cuisine. If you're someone who doesn't like sushi, you should try the Korean cup-bop or the ramen instead. My favorite dishes are the mango ramen, rainbow roll, and beef cup-bop. I'd like to personally thank the business owner for being such a gentleman and providing the best possible service to all of his customers for the many, many years. You are appreciated!“
“One of my favorite sushi restaurants. I wish it was a little nicer, kinda showing it's age, restaurant is over 10 years old, decors hasn't changed since then. Service is good, and they are attentive.Vegetarian options: Have friends who are vegetarian they enjoy their food.“
“Took me forever to give this place a whirl but I'm sure glad I did. I fell in love the first time trying this past December. It's amazing what you can do with a relatively short menu and turn it into a growing sensation. The teriyaki chicken here is the bomb! With some similarity to the likes of such competitors as Panda or Cajun Grill in the mall, TM definitely comes out on top as far as taste and that teriyaki sauce is boss!Clean dining area, still reasonable prices despite the madness roughly the last 4 years and friendly customer service servin' up delicious Asian fare.I hope this chain continues to expand and continue sprouting all over the country. I'm getting hungry thinking about my next trip there just typing this!“
“We haven’t been in the restaurant yet, but of the couple of times we’ve ordered food through GrubHub- the food has been some of our favorite in the area. It’s one of the few times we’ve really felt like care was put into making the food. We will keep ordering!“
“Food was delicious and they had so many choices. Our server was nice. Some of our food didn't even come out until the rest of us were almost done but we went during lunch so maybe they didn't have the staff that day. Would live to go again soon.“
“Jin is my absolute FAVORITE place to grab lunch. It is truly a hidden gem. The crab ragoon is the best I have ever had. Its my favorite thing!!! Although, everything I have tried is amazing. The serving sizes are so generous and the food is so fresh and clean, not greasy. Its the BEST! You have to give it a try!“
“Aha Sushi is fantastic! Their sushi is fresh and delicious, with a great variety of deep-fried rolls. The ramen is good, but I wish the egg was runny vs hard boiled in traditional ramen style. Overall, great food and friendly service. We will definitely be back!“
“I have driven by this restaurant for 3 years and finally tried it. I wish I would have stopped sooner. A gem of a restaurant, with amazing food and great service. I am a sucker for breakfast so when I saw that they serve it until 230, I had to try. The Alaska Benedict was TO DIE FOR!! The Wasabi hollandaise was such a surprisingly delightful taste. The cucumbers and lemon added a flavor and crunch that I never knew I needed in my benedict. It also came with potatoes and brussel sprouts that blew me away. Seriously, you have to try it. I also ordered a Philly roll and it was the best I've had. The smoked salmon on the Benedict and the roll was so good. The breakfast menu looks fantastic, along with the regular menu. I absolutely will be returning, I need to make up for lost time!“
“My boyfriend and I went here to try something different. It seems like it’s newer and hasn’t been open for a very long time. We did not regret anything. The man cooking at the grill was absolutely amazing and funny. The shrimp and seafood was out of this world. We’ve been to a lot of hibachi places in the area, even the more well-known ones and honestly, this one was both of our favorite. I also liked how it wasn’t crazy busy inside and you can actually, hear each other talk. I highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.“
“Good sushi rolls!! Been here a couple times & love it, doesn’t disappoint! We ordered & recommended the Miami Roll, Spicy Tuna Tempura, Caterpillar, the dumplings are good too! They also have burrito rolls, didn’t try them but they look good. Service was great as well. Very attentive. Place was very clean as well. & food tasted so fresh.“
“Really nice little place. Me and a friend came in and they sat us down right away. We got all you can eat sushi. We tried all of the sushi and every single one of them were delicious. The Crab Rangoon was the best I ever had and all of the other sides we had were amazing. We finished off with the mochi iced cream.Over all it was amazing and the only complaint was the service was a bit slow. I would definitely bring friends here again!“
“Many years ago we visited Koyasan in Japan and it was a village that was the center of Shingon Buddhism with 117 temples scattered around a cedar forest. We stayed overnight in one of the monasteries and dined on shojin ryori meals, made without meat, fish or animal products (and without onions or garlic). What does this have to do with Koya, the Japanese restaurant in Highland Park? Nothing, I'm afraid--the restaurant's name simply evokes memories of a very meaningful travel experience and I found myself reminiscing. This visit my Saba sashimi was cut a little thicker and did not seem to have the usual marinade. The Rainbow roll was ok but bland. The wait staff was a little argumentative when my companion checked if he was given the Dynamite roll. It was spicy but kind of meagre. We usually love dining here although this visit did not seem up to the usual standard. They do provide free miso soup if you want and complimentary mochi ice cream and Couque D'asse cookies. Though this visit was not our usual, we do love the food generally and will be back.“
“By far the best Chicken teriyaki I’ve had in a while. The portions are exceptional, I can honestly say I’ve never been let down. The servers are really nice ladies and occasionally a man, They are all wonderful. I highly recommend if you stop by Gurnee Mills.“
“Very good food here, and feel like it is as close to fresh as they can get. Price is always a bit higher when I go, but when coming here it is to be expected since coming here is always such a treat. Will return as long as they are welcome to have my company.Parking: Because of the 2 different entrances it is very easy to get parking, just choose which door to go through“
“Imma be honest this place is really good me and my daughter went the sushi rolls are amazing the ugdon noodles are basically beef noodles and broth but good lol not gonna lie but the fried rice isn’t good to be honest that was only thing we didn’t “
