“Petite Vie was a total "find"! While looking on OpenTable for a dinner spot on Friday, I stumbled across a French restaurant that I didn't know existed. I mentioned it to a few friends and that Sunday we went to Western Springs to check it out. The place is bright, cheery and inviting. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Patrick; bartender, manager, entertainer! The cocktails were creative and awesome, the food (especially the Pork Chasseur) was outstanding and the entire staff was welcoming and helpful. I feel like French food is slowly disappearing from our area, and to find this wonderful place was really fortunate. Please do yourself a favor, book a table and enjoy Petite Vie!”

“5 stars for HECTOR in Western Springs!!! Hands down this was the absolute best dining experience I’ve ever had! While the food was delicious and the overall ambiance and decor of the restaurant was cozy, it was our server that made this dining experience over the top, great! HECTOR, you are a gem, a diamond! You have an absolutely charming personality and made my mother in law’s birthday dinner an experience to remember! From your spot on suggestions, to your lovely rendition of “Happy Birthday”, to the funny banter, our whole family left talking about how wonderful you were! We will be back and we will be sure to come when you are serving! Thank you Hector!!!”

The pizza is th Star !!
Last few times the food was not as on par with the first 3-4 times.
Staff was slow and food was slow.
The first few times i went was when they first opened.
Seems service went down a bit!”

“I grew up in Western Springs, in a house on the “other side of the tracks”. Almost every Sunday, my father and I would go to Kirschbaum’s for a dozen donuts. Those donuts were sooo good.”

“Our family absolutely loves Bb's donuts! We do miss being able to go inside the donut shop. So many wonderful memories taking our little girl there to eat donuts and read a book or two. We have a little boy with Autism and it's not safe for him to sit in front by the busy street because he runs. Wish we could go inside to enjoy donuts & coffee knowing it's something our son would truly enjoy.”

“This place is the best! The employees are always very kind and helpful, the cupcakes are always moist and delicious, and I love that they custom make gluten free cupcakes! Another cool thing about this shop is they’re always innovating and trying new things - supporting local coffee vendors by selling cold brew, selling ice cream, and making really beautiful custom designs for cakes and cupcakes. 5 stars for sure.”

“I work nearby and wanted to check this place out, it’s close enough for me to just go pick it up. Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon and Spring Rolls are all delicious! I have tried the lunch specials too all priced right , the taste and quality and quantity of the food was perfect!? ?”

“I've been going there ever since they opened up many years ago. There are many of the same staff there and they work their butt off! And the place is just the absolute best hands down! I just found my new fave sandwich...the Turkey on a plain toasted bagel and it comes with lettuce, red onion, tomato &some sort of mustard. It's amazing!”

“Quick friendly service to make sub sandwiches just the way you like them. Miss the $5 footlong that now cost $10 or more, but it still is a freshly made good quality sandwiche that fills you up. Place is kept nice and clean with easy to read menu on the wall. Good location near LTHS South Campus so you always see students and staff from school at this location.

“My husband and I stopped at the Salerno's location after picking up some bakery at Kirschbaums! I grew up eating pizza from the Berwyn location(which moved to Oak Park). Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered the largest pizza, so we could have leftovers too! Was delicious, as all Salerno's pizza!”

“Went here for the first time. I had the 1/2 lb Classic burger, medium rare, with Pepper Jack cheese and fries. My friend had the Al Pastor tacos. The burger was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fries were wonderful. I normally can't eat a whole 1/2 lb burger. I couldn't stop eating this one. My friends Al Pastor tacos, on a flour tortilla, had a generous amount of meat, more than anywhere else we have been and it tastes fantastic, with just a hint of heat. Our Margaritas, made with Metzcal were delicious.”
