“I’m from NY and wanted some boba found this spot online and saw the mixed reviews. I got the brown sugar milk tea and coconut milk tea. The brown sugar is very sweet and I would say I have a relatively big sweet tooth so while I did enjoy it, it was slightly too much for me. 9/10. The coconut milk tea is also very sweet and has a strong coconut flavor almost like I was eating a raffaello. A new flavor that I took a chance on and was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean and the drinks were made quickly. The tapioca pearls themselves were hard and felt old so I would recommend skipping out on that.
TLDR; the teas are good and sweet for dessert, the pearls are not the greatest and I wouldn’t recommend. Overall 9.5/10“

“We recently visited Cloud Tea and it instantly became our favorite spot! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the drinks are absolutely delicious, and everything feels so fresh and high quality. “Our favorite thing about Straw and Bubbles has to be their croffles, they’re absolutely delicious! We’ve tried all the flavors, and honestly, it’s hard to even pick a favorite because they’re all so good.

“It is a nice and clean place for boba. Not really a fan of the prices but they are sort of reasonable. Brown sugar boba is a 10/10, tapioca was squishy but the drink itself was sweet. Could do better with their sanitary ways. Would recommend!“

“I got the Amore crepe with bananas and a scoop of strawberry ice cream. The fresh crème on this thing was beyond delicious. I have not enjoyed a crepe this much in many years. Although the place was very busy my crepe was ready in 5 minutes. They also did not skimp on the ingredients.“

“My wife and cousin bought drinks from this place. The young gentleman that made our drinks was very friendly and polite. After receiving our order we had to leave in a hurry as we were heading to a meeting. My wife accidentally left her purse containing her cards, cash, IDs and most importantly her medications on one of the seats inside. Unfortunately she didn’t notice that her purse was missing until later that night and the store was closed by then. Needless to say she didn’t get a good nights sleep as she was worried that she wouldn’t see her purse again. The next day she came back not really expecting anything but got a pleasant surprise when the young guy(not the same as the one who served us) that opened the store handed her back her purse with everything still intact. With the terrible things we hear and see in the news and oftentimes we experience ourselves, it’s amazing to know that there are still decent and honest people out there and especially in this store. Kudos to these young lads and to the people who raised them.“

“Kurimu is such a fun spot for Japanese-style soft-serve ice cream with creative and unique flavors! Their soft-serve is creamy, delicious, and definitely the highlight of the menu.

The staff are friendly and the service is really good, which makes the experience even better. We also tried their bubble teas, just a heads-up, they’re more subtly sweet compared to the usual bubble teas, so if you’re looking for something super sweet, this might not be the place for that.

“Tried this location this past August mainly for the sake of my 9-year-old son who loves CBT. We just got done eating dinner so naturally I have to ask him what he wanted for dessert.

Just like any other Chill parlor, delivers the same consistent taste which isn't necessarily the best tasting bubble tea but definitely not the worst either.

I've heard some ppl describe it as the McD's of bubble tea being it's not deemed authentic like other higher quality Asian chains and originated from Chi-Town.

Honestly it's not that bad at all and the older of my 2 sons claims it's his favorite brand in which case it was the very first bubble tea he drank (Taro) just before his 3rd birthday at the Hawthorn Mall location.

We live pretty far northeast in Lake County in Beach Park but if ever in the area again and my son gets that craving for CBT, we'll be back in. Hope for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).“

“I needed a gift card for my sister who lives near this store. I live in Oregon and recently visited. Their online ordering was down and I don't know if they even offer this online. Anyway I called and gave them my card info and they said they would get it to her. They drove the card over to her a few hours later. They didn't want to risk mailing it. My sister was so excited. Service beyond the call of duty. I hope they get an E-gift card set up on the online ordering system for future use.“
