“This place is adorable. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We ordered a lemon and a banana pudding cupcake and both were fantastic. The white cake is so soft and fluffy and moist. “We came here to warm up and get a midday snack since we were in the area. We came an hour before closing and there were still plenty of baked goods available. There was also plenty of seating and it was clean inside. I had a blackberry brownie and a blueberry basil matcha latte. I typically dislike sweet drinks so I was hesitant to order the latte. However, it wasn't overly sweet and the flavor was interesting (in a good way). The blackberry brownie was rich and also delicious. My child had a big chocolate chip cookie and devoured it instantly. I wish we came for lunch since there were intriguing menu items but we will be back if we are in the area!“

“DeEtta’s recently did my wedding cake and sweets for my bridal shower! Wedding cake has a bad reputation… I’ve had plenty that are dry and lack flavor but ours was the complete opposite! Our cake was beautiful, flavorful and so moist. I wish I would have had time to eat more! My only gripe was during the planning process. It was very simple to do an at-home tasting, but when it came to design, the consultant I worked with was not super friendly and basically told me that what I had chosen wouldn’t look good (even though I had several pictures of exactly what I wanted which were simple and beautiful). In the end it all worked out, but it made me really hesitant about the process. With that being said, the cake was delicious and I would absolutely order from them again.“

“I'm a big fan of Rustic Knead, as a pescatarian its hard to find good hearty veggie sandwiches for lunch especially in the suburbs but not here. My sister lives in Lemont and every time I go visit I try to make it in for the caprese sandwich on their delicious bread which is made in-store. Staff are always friendly & quick & they have great tea, bakery, chip options too. Awesome for any GF folks as they have GF sandwiches & even some GF cookies from a local bakery a few stores down. It's a bit on the $$ side but you are paying for the great quality & freshness. They are also very consistent, we have never had a bad sandwich nor experience which I definitely appreciated especially dining with GF people!“

“They close at 2:00. I pulled into the parking lot at 1:40 considering do I really want to be that person that walks in ordering a last minute sandwich? I saw two customers come out so I went in to go ahead and try. Staff was very friendly and made me 2 delicious sandwiches to go. Good bagels, good sandwiches. I'll be back. “Old-fashioned neighborhood bakery. Shelf that rings the upper reaches of the bakery is lined with cookie jars. Saturday mornings, the line stretches to the door as customers come in for donuts and coffee cakes.Kuppie's is also generous with community, donating product to help either fundraising.“

“This company bakes amazing sprouted grain breads. The only issue I have with them is shipping to the west coast. The cost of shipping is too high IMHO. I wonder why they can't use USPS priority flat rate boxes. That'll be so much cheaper for some of us to be able to order regularly. I wanted to order some more but at almost $60 I'm unable to. I hope they can look into this issue. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a local business that carries these breads.“

“Sweet Ali's is amazing from the baked goods themselves to the service! There was a mix up with my order on their end and they rectified it by driving out the correct ones to me in the same day since I needed them for Easter. The customer service is amazing!!! I will recommend them over and over! (The Key lime pie and Tiramisu are both so delicious! My dad said the eggplant Parmesan was delicious.) So happy they exist for us gluten free peeps! (Non-gf people love their goods as well!). Have to add... they even gave us beautiful, delicious cupcakes when they delivered the quiches!“

Absolutely phenomenal ...I had many Gluten free bakery items from other places and this place is off the charts ...we started off with the carrot cake ...geez it could not have tasted any better if it had,had Flour in it ....The cream cheese, omg let me eat the whole tub of cream cheese batter......The pineapple upside down cake was also a hit.....and that chocolate chip brownie bar ..very dangerous ...had to eat the whole bar.........I haven't made it to the brioche bread and the cinnamon roll but I keep you posted ....5 Lia P“

“The four stars is for the restaurant itself. This review is regarding a waitress they have working there, Kate. She was a horrible waitress. I asked for a Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi, whichever they have and she told me they have "Mexican Coke" what the hell is that?! I said, you don't have Diet Pepsi, she said yeah we do, I was like well that's what I asked for.She was not attentive and literally forgot about us sitting in the back. I had to get up and go ask someone if she was still there! The guy I asked said she was still there and he would send her back and even then she took a bit to come back to the table. The place wasn't even crowded. Anyway, Kate finally comes and takes our to go order, since we wanted to take some food home too. Comes back with the to go food and checks, there were three of us and she brought three separate checks, great! Well we tipped according to what we felt she deserved (even then, she actually got more than what she deserved). Also by the way, anytime we go out to eat, we are VERY generous tippers, but do tip accordingly.I go to the washroom and come back and she was at the table talking to my sister and when I walked up, I heard her saying, she left me 10% and you left me 18% and she left me 15% and I just wanna know why? Was there something wrong with my service? She was legit upset! I said to her wait, you're actually questioning your tip? She kept saying that she wanted to know if there was something wrong with the service, but she knows what she was doing. I honestly never in my life have ever had anyone do something like this, I was shocked! Not to mention there were other people sitting around and she was pointing at each of us telling us what we gave her for a tip! It was the most absurd thing! The audacity!So she finally walks away and I go ask for the manager, who happened to be the guy that I asked if she was still there. His name was Sam and he was very nice and very apologetic, he said he was embarrassed and that he would let the owner know. I sure hope he did because employees like this (speaking of employees like that, there were a couple of them behind the deli counter giving us some of the hardest looks, they must be friends!) are going to drive away customers! But I do have to say, the food is amazing and it is a great place!“

“These days I'm not sure a bakery can really deliver everything one'd hope for in the past. Lezza has a great variety of bakery products, and you'll find some of them to be very reasonably priced. I love the lemon knot cookies and the Italian ice, and you'll find traditional cookies here too as well as danishes and donuts. There are very few independently owned places anymore with variety and low-cost options for treats and coffee, but this is one of them!“

“I was in the Villa Park area and decided to use Yelp to find a bakery in the area. I came across Kuppie's Bakery and decided to drive there. I was warmly greeted by a lady working at the counter. I asked for a dozen donuts and picked which donuts I wanted. I waited until I got home to try a chocolate donut. This was one of the best donuts I've ever had. My wife and son also agreed on how delicious they were. I will definitely go back.“

“The owner is one of the best people on the planet. She has gone from politics and her own day to day behind a desk work to putting all that behind her to do something she loves to do. The store about 12 miles from my home and it's in the heart of the Danada square in Wheaton. I was surprised how friendly staff were and they are just focusing on cake only. The cake was very moist and a bit too sweet. In my opinion, if they can reduce the amount of sugar in a half, that would make the cake better. I will definitely come back to try other flavors.“

“Cakes by Carlos did an amazing job on the custom cake we ordered back in 2019 and 2021 for both my kids first birthdays. They are a bit pricey but worth the price if you want to make the occasion special and memorable. Agnez will work with you personally to customize the order as per your need. “I saw the bakery sign and quickly parked the car. Upon entering, I saw that the bakery cases mainly held cookies, bars, and cupcakes. Not a huge variety, and more specialized with huge sandwiched cookies, macarons, large bar cookies. I opted for a Raspberry crumb bar and a chocolate cherry macaron decorated to look like Santa's belly. The bar cookie was huge; about 4" x 5". It had a deliciously crisp base, and you could taste the butter. It was filled with a thin layer of jam and a lovely crumb topping.The macaron was another story. The cookie itself was great. Light, airy, and crisp. The filling, however, tasted like white wedding cake frosting. It totally overpowered the macaron base. Made my teeth hurt. Total regret.I'd be interested in trying the cupcakes.“

The owner Nicole was a literal babydoll and was so sweet, telling us all about her shop and the many offerings. “Spent an afternoon on Naperville and went to the Le Chocolat du Bouchard to pick up some chocolates for taking back home for the family. The shop is really lovely, and the lady who helped me pick the chocolates was really warm and friendly, and provided good suggestions. Back home, everyone I gifted a box of chocolates to, really loved them, and so did I. They are absolutely delicious. Thank you!“
