“we just happened to be in the area visiting family and saw it on the drive. we were NOT prepared to have one of the most satisfying meals we have had in awhile. the meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. delicious AND reasonably priced staff was attentive and friendly. atmosphere very pleasant and inviting. a local gem!“

I stopped by the drive thru recently; the service could have been a bit friendlier, but overall, my experience was fine, and the food was still satisfying.“

“We went to El Camino to celebrate the Birthday of my son's fiancé. We had a great time. The food was delicious and seeing there were 12 of us we had a good variety of menu items. Everyone loved it. our waitress Emma was a pure delight. It was pretty busy when we got there and she never missed a beat. Very friendly, attentive, and prompt. Great food,service, and atmosphere. we highly recommend.“

“Ever since I got my dog, I’ve struggled when I get hungry while he’s with me in the car. Not every place has outdoor seating or a drive-thru, so this time I was specifically looking for a Mexican restaurant with a drive-thru— and I’m so glad I found this place!

The food was delicious and generous. My favorite Mexican dishes are asada tacos and asada tostadas, but I’m usually picky about where I get them. This place did not disappoint.

On top of that, the staff were amazing, they even gave my dog a treat! I’ll definitely be coming back.“

You can tell this is comfort food done right. The tacos dorados were hands down the best I’ve ever had. I went with the papa ones, and they were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. I also tried a birria taco, which was amazing and packed with rich flavor. Their salsas and chiles deserve a shoutout too. Bold, fresh, and on point. Nothing watered down. “Me and my Husband recently found out about this amazing place and if you want authentic Mexican cooking that's exactly what you will get. It made me emotional because it's reminded me of my grandma kitchen and the food was by far the best I've ever had. I leave extremely full and the food is fresh,hot and delicious. The cook are too older women Tere and Reyna and I have fell absolutely in love with there cooking. They never forget a customer and even make empanadas that are great snack to take home.My favorite are the chicken enchiladas I go crazy for the red sauce no one has made it as good or even close. The waiters are awesome always the boys are always a great conversation and get what I need right away. Go easy on the girl she does smile and will get the hang of the job.(Never know what a person going thru so be nice) But a 30 minute drive is always worth it. This is our favorite place and we try a new place everytime we decide to dine but now can't stop coming back for more. so from illinois and wisconsin this is our #1 spot and we'll worth it so glad it ain't far but I drive hours for the food!“

We never have to wait very long for our food and they always get our food order right. They even suggested things for us to try off the menu, and they didn't disappoint. My fiancé ordered salsa and chips for an appetizer and we were both happily surprised with the fresh chips and tasty green salsa! After enjoying our appetizer we both ordered their three taco dinner special for taco Tuesday. My fiancé order steak tacos and I ordered a combination of chicken tinga, chorizo, and their house special campechano. Everything was amazing!!! My fiancé enjoys the spicier salsas and was offered a habenero red salsa. We sampled all three that was received and have nothing but good things to say about them all. This place is hands-down the best place for ceviche and any other seafood cocktail. The tacos are a delicacy of Waukegan! I drive 45 minutes from the city just to get their delicious Micheladas.“
