“Service was great for a party of 7! The bread and oil are always the star of the show. Ordered the chicken parmesan for the first time and my only complaint is that is was on the dry side, would have loved to have seen more sauce come out on it. Other than that, perfect dinner for a night out.“
“We were very excited about going here, when we walked in it was a surprise that we ordered there at the counter. But Don't let that stop you! The rangoons and calamari were exceptionally good. We ordered the seafood meal for two. There was plenty of it and we thoroughly enjoyed it all! Wine is served in small bottles I would recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood! The waitress was very helpful and nice.“
“I generally look forward to Red Lobster trips. This one was made with Father & Friend on a Tuesday afternoon. Plenty of expected seating. Jennifer did a great job as waitress. Lobsterfest meals had by all. One take-home dinner was also done grandly.“
“I only pickup but there are tables and chairs.b Atmosphere very plain and dingy. Food is usually very good and ready to pickup when they say it will be.Wheelchair accessibility: None. Two entrance doors at angles so no wheelchairs can get in or out.“
“I eat here once a month. Excellent seafood boil with king crab legs, lobster tails, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage in garlic butter sauce. Don't let the restaurant or atmosphere deter you. This place is fantastic if you want good seafood. Try it.“
“We have dinner dates here a handful of times every year. It's a lovely place inside or out in the porch, especially in nice weather. Reminds me a touch of when I lived on the coast. We haven't even had a dish we didn't like... Crab cakes, soups, pork chop, pastas... Key lime pie, all delightful. At the time of this review spring 2024, in the years we've been coming this is a first so I'll not adjust my rating, However......??the more recent change in bread/ rolls is poor, they're dry and flavorless, so don't come for the rolls, If that's your thing,)?? We had reservations and Inside they tried seating us in an area with work being done, with sticky subflooring (is that even allowed !?! and other remodeling and that's just poor taste, there were lots (dozens) of open tables as it was early yet so we requested another table and we were accommodated.“
“Went here for the first time yesterday! Wonderful customer service! He over heard it was my first time and gave me an extra crab cluster for free?the seasoning they use on the seafood is perfect! Flavorful but not too salty and I can taste the freshness of the lemon in the butter sauce ? I will definitely be coming back and telling people to come here to get their seafood fix!!“
“When my grand daughter and I arrived today for lunch we were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated in Mary's section. Mary was super sweet, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable over the menu. The spicy garlic ? ? shrimp was delicious and the French Onion Soup was extra yummy with the fried onions added on top, the wedge was super crisp and refreshing, the fresh fruit was fresh, beautiful and yummy. The Peanut Butter Pie was Absolutely Scrumptious! Mary was very efficient our entire visit, it looked a little busy. Carrie, the Manager, was doing table touches, my grand daughter absolutely loved her. We had an overall wonderful experience and we'll definitely be back and let our friends know how wonderful our experience was today!Kid-friendliness: The entire staff is super friendly“
“Ok y'all, I live in Texas, was in town to visit my sick dad this past week and had the opportunity to check this place out. Wow y'all. Some of the best Tex Mex I have had. Full stop. The rice and beans are just excellent. The salsa is amazing, and the chips were light with the perfect bit of salt. And y'all, please don't even get me started on the Queso. I can say that El Potro is truly an excellent choice. Had the spicy chimmi (on special for like $9). I liked it so much that the next day when my wife got into Plainfield, I told her that I had a new place to take her. I wanted to try more of the Mexican side of this TexMex as to compare it to what I get at home. So I ordered a tamale, chili relleno, rice and beans while my wife had the Acapulco. Damn y'all. Homemade tamale's are easy to get in Texas, and a staple. These were no different. So many places outside Texas, and some inside Texas, have these little somewhat anemic looking corn straws with little resemblance of any meat....not here. The tamale was Texas sized. Like they all should be and very typical of homemade. Every thing was excellent....again! Attention to detail is what sets this place apart.Large portions and You know when the small things are done very, very well, i.e., rice, beans, chips and salsa, the rest of the menu falls right in line. To top it off, the service I got both days, was top notch. Full knowledge of the menu and able to answer any questions without hesitation. The menu is vast and I didn't see immediately see what I wanted on the menu. So I just told the server what I wanted and our server put it together and I was charged right at the same price as other combinations. Had conversations with both servers and they were so nice and a pleasure to talk to. I really hope y'all enjoy El Potro and stop in for a bite. It will be the last time you ever have to search for good TexMex. You will know where it is. Right there on west 40 just inside Plainfield from Indy. A big thanks to the servers there at El Potro. We really enjoyed eating and talking with y'all and look forward to our next visit. God bless.“
“My son and I had a few of the best steaks we've eaten in a long time! Can't wait to get back there!Parking: Seemed to be a very busy Saturday night. Lot was full. It's within walking distance from a multiple of hotels.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu available“
“Family owned and operated! Customer service is always so kind and helpful, especially for take out orders. We have been frequenting this place for the last 8 years and it's only gotten more delicious. We love the yum yum chicken and giant crab wontons. Anytime we are on the west side, we are grabbing food from this place only. Thank you for the many years of great food!“
“This place is definitely a hole in the wall for eating! Please don't pay attention to the aesthetics or atmosphere. The chicken wings and fries with that honey garlic pepper seasoning/ sauce is where it's at. It'll make you forget you had to clutch your purse or hold onto your wallet for dear life. And Be sure to place your order over the phone or you might be waiting a while. Especially on the weekends.“
“Wheeew, my God today! When I tell you I got the bone in wings, Buffalo and Garlic Parm ? that food was so good I started dancing in my chair. My coworkers laughed but I could taste how good it was. F I R E!!!!! Thank you for the food and your kind customer service ? ? I haven't even gotten to the fish yet ?“
“This past weekend I was in town and had the best chicken curry kabob and fried rice. My spouse enjoyed their teriyaki steak and chicken kabob as well as jumbo fried shrimp. Plenty of tasty food and good service. Will come visit again next time I'm in “
“Started out with complimentary cup of soup to warm my palate. Soup was good. Ordered red chicken curry medium spicy and a Thai iced tea. Medium spice was a little too spicy, if I return, I'll order it 2 star. I've had better and I've had worse. I would rate this curry average.“
