“What a delightful hidden gem in the small town of Battleground, IN. I visited the museum, then had lunch here. A warm welcome, patient wait staff, large portions, and very good prices. Very cozy and pleasant.
I had the sirloin steak and salad.
I'll have the tenderloin next time, since the photo looks incredible.“

“The food here was excellent I dare say that was the best burger ? I have ever eaten. The cashier was super friendly but the waiter was rude, very impatient and had a horrible attitude. He really needs an attitude adjustment if he is going to continue in the food customer service industry!“

One of my favorite breakfast foods is an omelette and I dare say this place made THE best I've ever had.
My hub & I enjoyed every single bite of food we ordered, but what made our visit so special was Ashley & Della ❤️ What absolute gems these ladies are & worth their weight in gold. Truly exceptional in making sure we were most taken care of & simply sweethearts!!! Thanks so much, ladies for making us feel right at home.

“The atmosphere is Soo chill.. the employees are all attentive and accommodating. Everything I've eaten, whether it be their burgers or fries or wings, they have all been on point and delicious! How cool to finish your meal with light and sweet funnel cake fries or enjoying a cold beer. I highly recommend their Trivia Night on Wednesdays and also All Star Karaoke and Bingo on Tuesdays starting at 8:30😎“

“We had a great time at Tick Tock! Every single working waiter came to our table at some point to check on us, and we could see they truly cared about the customer. I was impressed by rhe curds texture. They didn't look crispy but they were perfect. The burgers were very tasty. Particularly loved the bacon jam sauce. We will definitely be back. Our waiter also expertly handled an entitled/difficult customer seated beside us and apologized for her actions even though he didn't need to. We felt very cared for!“

“I was very disappointed when we went to Culver's a little before 9 pm, I check the website for closing time and it was 10 pm so we had time to go in for custard. we get there and they were already closed and this was a little past 9pm, that is not 10 pm, either someone doesn't know how to tell time or they don't want to work. we went to DQ they were open!“

“Checked in online and chose room. Arriving at the hotel I was greeted with very friendly front desk staff and recognized as a Diamond member. Presented a warm cookie and informed two free bottles of water were in y room. Room was very clean and large with room for two chairs, a table, a long cabinet that contained the large screen TV, coffee maker, and a small refrigerator. The bathroom contained a walk in shower and was of decent size. Throughout my two night stay all the staff I contacted were friendly and ready to help. Had a sandwich each night from the lobby restaurant and they were delicious. The free coffee in the beautiful and spacious lobby was very good. The only drawback was the noise from I65 that could be heard in the evening. Recommend rooms ending in even numbers be selected as they are on the quiet side. I selected my room online not realizing the odd numbers face the freeway. I will stay here on my next visit.“

“****Edit: Somehow my "does NOT recommend" was changed to "recommends". I do NOT recommend for group gatherings.*** I made a reservation for a work party and was told they do not like to book reservations on Friday nights, especially for parties larger than 12. That was right around what I was expecting; although, I may have had a few more. I made sure to get RSVPs from folks so I could pivot to a different location and cancel, if necessary. We ended up having 11 folks total in our party, so it worked out. The Bryant sent me a text the day before the reservation to ask that we keep the reservation limited to 2 hours or less (this would have been nice to know when I had booked ~3 weeks prior). Move to the day of: I got there around 20 minutes early thinking they could seat me at the table, if it was ready, or at least seat me right at 6 pm, since that was the time the reservation was for. The hostess informed me that they would not seat me until at least half of my party was there; so, I went to the bar area and had a drink while I waited for other folks to arrive. The bar staff was friendly and prompt. I closed out my tab for the one drink and moved back to the hostess area around 5:50, when I expected other folks to start arriving. I sat on the couch, and the first few folks started trickling in. I informed them of what I was told, and we waited until there were 7 of us there before I approached and told the hostess that over half of us were present (around 5:59). There was another woman at the hostess stand, whom I'm assuming was a manger with the way she was moving about the establishmen, who asked me when I expected the rest of our party to arrive. I told her I expected everyone there within a few minutes. She informed me that they would start getting waters on the table and then they would seat us. I found this a little odd; but, it wasn't a deal breaker. We ended up being seated about 10 minutes after our reservation was scheduled for. Again, I am flexible and understand that plans might need adjustments from time to time. Maybe they hadn't put the tables together yet, for all I knew. We got seated and the waitress got our drink and appetizer orders in. The waitress did a good job taking care of the large party and did what I needed her to with the bill (splitting it into two bills). Our food was delicious and the drinks were good. She was observant and was quick to get boxes for us as meals were finished. There were a couple desserts ordered: they arrived quickly and were delicious. Plates were being cleared around 7:50. A few folks may have wanted to order another drink or two; however, the lady manager proceeded to stop at our table around 7:53 to tell us they had another reservation at 8 and we needed to leave. Had they not delayed seating us and gave us a full 2 hours, I likely would not be leaving this review. I found the management rude for the amount of money that they were making in the hour and 45 minutes that we were there (over $550 was spent). In my opinion, kicking customers out of a dining establishment is not a good way to keep business. Although the wait staff and food was overall good, I do not intend on booking another group event at The Bryant: nor can I recommend it to anyone looking to book larger group events.“

“A great place to have breakfast, with one of the best in town! It is located in a strip mall and there are entrances on the north and south side of the complex with parking on either side. They have a very nice selection of food and it has always been great. They also have very friendly staff and are very kind. Check them out!“

However, they seem to run out of sandwiches some time and certain machines keep breaking rendering a few items on the menu futile for extended periods of time..“

“They have a good choice of two soups each day that comes with a roll. Too many American food places give you too much food for too much money. The daily special looks interesting, but I have not tried it as I am not that hungry at lunchtime.“

We had one absolutely lovely member of the team bring crayons and coloring pages for all the kids with a big warm smile and told us she tried to find the best pages for them. I wish I would have gotten her name because she was so wonderful!“

“My husband and I had our retirement party at Walt's Other Pub last month. From the planning stage to the end of the party, we had a great experience. We had more people than expected but they were on top of it and keep the food supplied and the drinks coming. The food was great. Corey our server and Hillary the manager were top notch. “I will start with the good news about recent visit last Saturday. The Bloody Mary's are excellent and a great value. We had the Pesto Melt and the Mamma Mia and they tasted very good. That is where the good news ends.

On our prior visit we had a female server who was attentive and knowledgeable. She got a very large tip.
This past visit not so much. Our server was very nice but he was not a good server for the following reasons.

- He was spending lots of time doing other things than attending to tables; like break down outdoor patio.

- He told us the sides and it was all potatoes; we asked if we could sub a salad. And he asked what dressings. For the cost, salad may rank among the worst I have been served at a comparable eatery. It was served on a six-inch plate with 8-10 pieces of romaine lettuce tips (whole), there was a teaspoon of diced onions and tomatoes, and a cucumber cut in half. Difficult to eat and totally overpriced. I always take pictures of food when dining out and wish I had taken one of that paltry side salad.

- We asked for those salads ahead of our sandwiches and waited and waited and had to flag down a different server to get our salads. It turned out it would have probably happened because we did not get our first sandwich until a 30 minute wait -- and the dining room as about 20% filled so why the wait.

- Then we waited and waited and waited for our pesto melt, the server finally came over and said "there was a mix-up in the kitchen" which means he did not place our order same time with other sandwich.

- And like many restaurants in town, the acoustics are terrible. It is like being back in my high school cafeteria. Not pleasant on the ears.

- So when we got our bill we saw that the salad was $4, not $3.50. There was the $.75 upcharge for blue cheese dressing. I told the server we should have been told these things when placing our order. To his credit, and based on the long wait for the pesto sandwich, he took half off the price of sandwich and took off the blue cheese dressing. He got a good tip but nowhere near the one the server the previous visit got.

Bottom line. There are many places to eat in Lafayette and will probably not return to LBK. Some advice; train your servers on how to take and place orders with the kitchen. If doing a side salad for $4 make it look like it is worth the price; it is not. And charging for dressings? Who does that in town? Salads come with salad dressing and should not be an upcharge, or at least inform the guest.

Vegetarian options: The Mamma Mia and Pesto melt are really good; the sausage on the Mamma Mia is plant-based and tastes like Italian sausage.“
