They made great recommendations based on what we liked instead of just randomly suggesting things, and their food and drink suggestions did not disappoint. “I'll start by saying I was pleasantly surprised by this place and would definitely recommend it. First of all, the outside had me a little worried, but the inside was clean (so were the bathrooms!) and the staff was very friendly. They had a large selection bar and we had a drink while we ordered food to go (drinks and food were both reasonably priced).

We got the pulled pork quesadilla (10/10 the best thing we had), pork tenderloin sandwich (potential for greatness, but was overcooked), and the ribs (the Shanghai BBQ sauce wasn't for me, but I'm very picky about my ribs and these could be my new favorite anyway as they were so fall apart tender and delicious; just get the regular BBQ sauce instead IMO). We also got a side of very good battered fries, battered onion rings, and coleslaw that had a touch of some seasonings I couldn't place, but they were good.

All in all, would very highly recommend and my family can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu! I couldn't find a menu on their website, but the picture I'm posting is current as of Aug/9/2026.

Edit: We spent $65 pre-tip (but that also included drinks) and we still had leftovers. No complaints about the portions for the price 👍🏽“

“Ordered the Ale Supremo pizza and ended up having to wait about an hour until we got it. No biggie. It happens. The manager (Diane) threw in a large order of wings, refunded our money, AND gave us a $20 gift card. Now THAT'S customer service! The food was absolutely delicious, too. Needless to say, we're Ale Emporium customers for life. Thank you!“

“This place is amazing! Great food options, great beer, and plenty to do. Beautiful place to eat, drink, and have a great time. Only problem was I ordered a growler of beer and they said they were almost out and would try to fill one. They could only get a smaller crowler out of it, but had already charged me for a growler. Didn't realize this until we left.“

“Place is an absolute dump with tiny bathrooms, but it's great. We always stop in when we cruise through town. The shuttles to Deer Creek phish shows are absolutely worth it. The house music or jukebox is always cranking the best tunes, and the food is pretty good“

“Very informal, which made us feel right at home. Great breaded tenderloin and fries. The soft pretzel with beer cheese appetizer was wonderful. Good selection of beers on tap. Had my first Hopopotomus IPA, and really enjoyed it. Prices were generally on the lower side. We felt there was a lot of value for the money. There is a 3% fee added for use of a credit card but the amount is inconsequential.“

“I travel to Indy once or twice a year, and I make sure I stop at KSR for food and drinks. By far the best family-owned bar and restaurant I have visited in Indy. I highly recommend this place. Do not judge by appearance (which I believe makes it a better experience). The pizza, wings, and sandwiches are off the charts. Hell, the salads look amazing, and I am not a big salad fan. You can tell that if you know me“

“Been staying at the iron works hotel a lot due to having to be in Indy a lot lately. This place is basically attached to the hotel. We have had the pizza, burgers, black bean burger and beers. I did see a review their their soda is not the best and i will agree with that we couldn’t even drink it so not sure what’s up with that but we have been back so much because everything else is great. We will be back again at the end of the month and plan on going back. They were out of 4 packs of beer the last time to go and i was wondering why they couldn’t just sell 4 cans separately but hopefully they have them back in stock.“

“Kilroy’s breadsticks are phenomenal and honestly the main reason we keep coming back. I also love the Breadstick of the Month concept because it’s fun to see what new flavor they come up with. The only downsides are that the inside doesn’t feel very kid-friendly, and the service has not been good any time we have visited. Still, the breadsticks are absolutely worth trying“

The staff could have been better at coming back to check on us and paying better attention to bringing the correct drinks and returning for refills, but overall, it was a pleasant first-time experience. There was an open comedy mic night, and that was interesting. Mike G and the DJ were great!“

“If your a crafting group or game group, I highly recommend this place on Tuesday for Happy Hour- 4:00pm, they have their $3 cheeseburger and $1.25 for fries for a early dinner. And there are ton of tables available for crafting or playing games at, as most sit at the bar until it gets busier around 7pm.“

Drinks are good and fairly priced, pool tables dart boards, everything you want. On Friday's and Saturdays they have a couple come in to do Karaoke and it's always a blast. Next stop for a night out? No brainer, Fort Ben Pub.“
