Bob Evans is a road stop restaurant in Columbia City with its own parking lot and a friendly, helpful staff. The food, including the breaded and seasoned fish, fresh banana bread, and dinner rolls, is prepared in a timely manner and is of good quality. The service was really good and the waitress was kind and hospitable. The country fried steak and lemon pepper chicken breast are very tasty and reasonably priced. The building is aged out and the atmosphere was stale. There is room for improvement in consistency and manager attitude. Overall, it is a decent option for a sit-down dinner while driving through Columbia City.
