“Stopped by Chicago Beef And Dog Company last weekend while strolling through Irvington. I got the Italian beef loaded with peppers and my partner tried their classic dog. Both were fantastic — juicy, well-seasoned, and honestly better than anything else we’ve found around Indy. The folks at the counter were super friendly too, made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back to try their burgers next.“

One of my grandsons (in his twenties) said he thought it was probably the most tender steak he had ever eaten.“

I don't know why I ever stopped eating here (probably because they closed the 2 locations on my side of town) . The food was AMAZING !!! Definitely one of the best fast food joints in the city && definitely top 3 burger fast food spots (emphasis on the fast) . After years of eating McDonald's & Burger King...going to Steak 'n Shake reminded me just how mediocre and lackluster a bunch of fast food places are . I also got a bacon double cheese steak burger which was also very good. And to top it off the dreamcicle freeze. Oh and the drink with my meal was a sprite. Altogether, it was just over $13. BK's double cheeseburgers USED to be best sandwich anyplace, but now, Two thick little patties on a little bun! Not sure how you did it but it sucks! “I happen to have eaten here twice, several months apart, both times after I was leaving Castleton AMC. There is an extremely polite young man, with some frosting near his forehead, who has waited on me both times. This evening I had my walker. Before I got inside, he raced from the counter to hold the door open. After I ordered, I went to the bathroom, which was in excellent condition on both visits. The young fellow was waiting for me with my food on a tray. This young man really provides excellent service, consistently.“
